Unfair?

Hubby is out of town right now, he's somewhere there in Pansol, Laguna probably enjoying the hot spring waters with our friends from England and with all our beloved at the mission's center.

While me, well..am here stuck at the office and have to work for eight looong hours, good thing work includes surfing the internet like searching for best rv warranty, facebook during lunch..ahem! and then call it a day.

But still, I wanted to go with them and enjoy sana.

So unfair di ba????

Exit signs

How important is the exit sign for you? When you enter a certain premises do you look for it and make sure you knew it before settling? Or are you the type who doesn’t care that much about where those exit signs are.

I used to be complacent about it also but there have been a lot of tragedies I heard over the past that made me paranoid about it. One that is forever etched in my memory is the Ozone disco tragedy that claimed a lot of lives, most of them just about to graduate from high school. Had there been many exit doors and EXIT SIGNS visible that night there have been more lives spared.

And how can I forget the big earthquake of 199? I was there in Nueva Ecija at that time and was supposed to meet a friend from that school building that collapse and trapped a lot of college students. So I guess it is understandable that I am bit paranoid about it.

Now, when I go to movie houses I make sure I know where to exit and how to do it quickly just in case something bad happen. I make sure I saw it before sitting down and enjoying the movie. Recently a friend of ours moved into a condominium type of apartment too and the very first thing I noticed was that the fire exit was locked and she doesn’t have the key, so I told her it shouldn’t be that way. You see? I am indeed very vigilant about exit signs.

But of course I know that I cannot stop any bad incidents from happening. Even if I do all the necessary precautions and all if it is meant to happen then it will be.

But I still believe that the most important thing to know is that whatever happened to you whether you are inside a building or out there playing under the sun, you know you are safe in God’s hands and that you have entrusted your life HIM. And if He is taking your life at any moment you know where you’re heading to.

Still on home improvement

We've been improving the house since we moved in, we still need big stuff such as a big couch but that can't wait. Our bedroom looks like a real bedroom now.Yey for that! And I am still trying to make the room spacious by removing all the unnecessary stuff in it. Actually I am going to sell the two plastic 5 layers cabinets we have and will just buy 2 small organizer box that we can put underneath the bed.

The living room and the kitchen doesn't need much of improvement specially the flooring because it's newly tiled, the ceramic tiles they used are quite good. if we have money we will buy four dining chairs that will match the dining table we have now or better yet if we were blessed even more we might buy a new dining set.

Home improvement is exhausting and expensive but when you see how nice it is, definitely worth the effort.

Preparing for CEBU!!

It will be hubby's first time in Cebu, my 3rd but the first two trips are both work related so it's also my first to go and just enjoy the place. I bought our tickets last March when Cebu Pacific went on sale (as in really seat sale) The ticket price? 450.00 per pax, all in for round trip. Good deal no?

Anyways, so I am in the process of doing our itineraries, we will be leaving Sept. 11 (evening flight) and will stay there till Sept. 14 which will be hubby's birthday. So technically we have 3 days to enjoy the Queen City of South.

Any suggestions on where to stay and what to do there?

So far, these are what I have seen and searched over the internet

1. Magellan's Shrine
2. Fort San Pedro
3. Taoist temple
4. Old houses in Carcar
5. Guitar factory ---> hubby would love this for sure!
6. Kawasan falls
7. Bantayan Islands
8. Moalboal

And I know there's a lot more. I just hope we can visit them all but then we don't want to exhaust ourselves and go home tired.

Can't wait for our Cebu trip!

Conceiving soon?

Happy Monday Morning everyone!

It was a busy weekend for me and hubby. We had loads of tasks and we didn’t have enough time to stay home and fix more of our things so we are still sleeping in a room that is not so organized yet a lot better than the one we had before. I am serious on making it as organized as I can and making it clutter free.

My next plan after settling is to see a new doctor and consult again and be serious in finding help. This means I have to be so serious in helping my self too. Lose weight, established an exercise time with hubby and developed a more healthy eating habit although we started on that one already. I still praise God that PCO syndrome is not as hard as cancer treatment & prescriptions are not as expensive like other health disorders.

Guess what? A lot of people we know are commenting about us moving to that new home, new place and new environment. And it amazes me how a lot of them are saying that this time we might conceive already. Maybe because they are thinking we will now get enough rest. Well, All I can say is “hopefully yes”.

Of course I’m praying it would be soon.

Beauty products on sale!!

From August 15 to September 15 Ponds products will be on sale! I happen to stumble upon this good news last Thursday so upon checking ll the items on sale went on to the nearest store and checked out the available products. I was able to buy two facial foam at 20% off. I wish I can still buy some of the products on sale but I don't think hubby will approve it though I know I can decide for that..hehe!

Flawless white eye cream is also on sale but it is not available on that store. I want to try that one and see if it is indeed one of the best eye creams and at 70% off..that would be a great buy!

Well, as I have said..the sale will last until September 15 so I still have time to look and buy for that.

So love the sale season!

A movie date tonight?

You Should Watch an Action Movie

You like to stay busy and active. You don't need thrills, but you do need something to do.

You are bored easily, and nothing bores you more than a slow paced movie. You need things to be moving along.

You tend to be a very open and honest person. You cut to the chase. You don't have time to couch what you're saying.

You like to have a lot of friends and be in the middle of what's going on. You rarely pass up an opportunity to go out.

Metal tiles

The house we just moved in was already tiled and we are happy with that. It's whitish and greenish in color and it really looks good. Pretty easy to clean, well that’s the advantage of tiles. I just wonder if metal tiles will look good in homes too. Look at these metal tiles below, I’m sure they are easy to clean to and they look good also. I wish we have a patio, the one that look like stone patch is beautiful.

we're settled in our new home!

Only because it was an extended weekend for us yesterday. I texted my boss and asked if I could stay home because as I have written before we're moving and we finally did last Friday night. So the new home was mess for three days and yesterday we finally managed to clean and fixed most of the stuff. We already have curtains, did some painting for the kitchen cabinet and it looks good now,

I am so happy..the feeling of going home to a HOME is very new to me and I am loving it!

The only downside is that because it is now a real home, we are enjoying eating together and Carmel and I are planning of learning and cooking new dishes. So I expect more weight gain coming up..tsk..tsk..

But really, though it is not yet fully furnished and there are still adjustments and arranging to be done. I am enjoying it. I realized now how much I miss a quiet place.

Our new home

Here are few pictures from our new place. We moved some of our stuff last night and took some photos, it is definitely bigger than the room we are occupying now and it is quiet. That's what I love the most! Carmel and I will definitely have the best fat burner because we have to scrub the wooden floor upstairs and the wooden stairs. And right now even if we still don't have enough budget for furniture we scouted and dream of things we do like to buy for said house. We are all excited to move in.

It's newly painted and the landlord chose green as the color which is okay for us. We will be moving other stuff again tonight.

We're moving!

And I know I am happy to move but I feel sad at the same time. We have been at the mission's center since we got married and I can't help to feel a little sentimental about it. We have had our lots of first there as husband and wife. I have learned a lot from living in there especially on matters about relationship.

But then, I am excited to have finally our own place. Well, we will still be sharing with our very good friend (missionary couple) they will occupy the other room but we can still call it ours. I mean, there will be no more curfew hours, no visitors restrictions, and we can do whatever we want..oh the freedom of having your own abode!! I am so excited!

So we started packing up our things and hubby will start moving them tonight.

Praise God for the provision and for giving us the courage to move and have that step of faith.

I'll post picture soon once we're already settled.

Longest funeral procession

In two decades. I know that this is something that our grand children's children will be studying on the next generation as part of the Philippine History so I make sure I participated. Not only me but I tagged along hubby whom I appointed as the photographer so I can just look and flashed the L sign to everyone.

We waited along South super high way corner Arellano st. We waited for two hours but that's fine. It's worth it. The feeling is different. Suddenly the love for the country was there and you just want to show the world that you do care.

Here are the pictures that hubby managed to capture in spite of the heavy rains.

It's yellow all around!

Some of our friends and our 2 foreign missionaries were there too with us!

The long lines and the yellow cyclists

And finally..the coffin of the late President Aquino.

Goodbye and Thank you our dear and beloved president! The Philippines will never forget you.

And for those who are looking for the Manila Bulletin's error you can see it here.

P.S. I love you

Saw it yesterday for the first time. Did I cry? Of course yes, I have this issue about death of loved ones. I know I am not yet prepared but who is? especially when it is your husband? Just the thought of it makes me shiver.

So I ended up making kulit to hubby yesterday, telling him and making him promise me that he won't die first (as if pwede ang ganun di ba?)

I just can't grasp how the bereaved can cope up with losing someone that is too close to them. I wish I am as courageous as them but I am not. And even now that my parents are both in their old age I still do not know how will we celebrate every special occasion without them if ever.

So i don't even want to think about it.

Sigh. I think watching that movie is a bad idea.
