Goodbye Nessa

Last Sunday, we said goodbye to this sweet and young lady, her family and friends finally laid her to rest but not in our hearts for she will be remembered forever.

The photos were taken on her 18th birthday 3 years ago, we did the balloon decors as our gift to her. She was in the worship team in our church before and I became her discipler just before her water baptism in 2011.  We have so many memories together and even after we've separated ways (church) she remained sweet and thoughtful to us, often times calling us to ask for worship songs and we kept on encouraging her to use her talent for the Lord.

It is painful to see her go so young, but God has a purpose and I trust Him. Now, we shall continue the love we have for her through the son she left with us. A premature baby boy, still in the hospital but is fighting for his life. Nessa risked her life for this baby and I know she will appreciate every love that will be thrown his way.

If you are praying, please remember baby James Matthew (Nessa's son), pray that he'll gain the weight he needs, that he will be healthy and well with NO complications at all. Thank you.

American/Winter dream

Still on the top of my wish/dream list (whatever you call it) is to set foot on American soil someday soon. The number one reason is to visit our very good friend (who is like a sister to me) who now resides in Florida, also I have some cousins to visit in Chicago and I hope to meet Sandee too of course!

If ever, am planning to visit on winter time. We want to experience winter at some point of our life..hahaha!! I know it’s shallow but we want to see and feel snow :)

As a matter of fact, I get excited just looking at this website. They have various winter products and I am quite stunned. Battery heated clothing? Battery heated socks?

I wonder how it feels to wear them.

But sorry, just as much as I want them, it is only for experience. I don’t think I’ll want to live or settle in cold and freezing country, I think tropical climate is still best for me.

I know someday this dream will happen. I will look back at this post and smile and give thanks to the Lord who makes all things possible in His time.

Realization

David :)

David  : The name David is a Biblical baby name,meaning of the name David is: Well-beloved, dear'.

Pleasure to have spent few hours with our dear David last Wednesday. David is the son of my  best friend  Tere (from my former work) and we waited for him for 11 years, he is now 2 years old and is very very handsome :) A source of joy not only to his parents but to the people around him as well.

Wish I could spend more time with him and his mom.

Reunion with bestfriends

I had a very extra ordinary weekend, finally after so many years we were able to see each other again. We were office mates before and then new opportunities came and we  separated ways but we managed to remain good friends. In fact, not just good friends but very special friends, I have never shared to anyone any deepest secrets but only to these girls and we all do the same :)

Here we are, older, matured, and heavier but so much happier :)

Fun time!

Every year these 2 lovely kids come home for a vacation, their parents are missionaries in Sabah, Malaysia where we had our one month mission trip last 2010. Because we've lived in their place for 1 month, I know how hard and lonely at times their lives can be. Since then, we make sure to at least treat them when they come home here in Manila.

We always go to Timezone at Cash and Carry and we let them play, but guess what? me and my husband get to enjoy it so much too!

We ate after playing :) we let them choose and of course Jollibee won!

We'll see them next year and  we promise them another fun adventure :)

East Coast and Virginia Beach in mind

You know I also dream of visiting other beaches around the world other than the beautiful beaches here in the Philippines :) and because I know someday I’ll be able to visit the United States of America (that is one major positive thought!) and spend time with my friends and cousins there, when that day comes I hope I’ll have enough time to explore some beach. Wow! Beach bumming in America :) haha! 

I heard there are plenty of nice beach in the East Coast.

North Carolina is on the top of my list being a fan of Nicholas Sparks here. I’ve come to love North Carolina because of his books. A plus that I have a  friend who lives there (Hi Liz!). It would also be nice to visit nearby states. Florida is probably where we'll stay because our very good friends Jerlyn and Lester lives there, the very reason why I want it so much  to visit US of A. I know, it's far from being a reality for now but we can wait, few years or more. Maybe 2016 or 2017, who knows?

Anyways, dreaming continues :) 

I also wish we can visit one of those popular resort cities n the East Coast. Virginia beach for one. In fact, I've already bookmarked the best site for deals on hotels in Virginia Beach - Motel.com . At least, it will come handy when I need it. Probably be looking out for the cheapest one so better to have one and I know that site can help.

I'm positive this will happen in the near future. I am not and will not give up on that dream :)

F-r-i-e-n-d-s

Because it was the first Sunday of the month last Sunday and we had joint worship service, friends decided to come to our small house after church, we watched movies, we shared stories, we laugh, we cooked and we made memories :)

Five couples minus one husband who is currently abroad plus four kids and what do you expect? It was chaotic but it was full of laughter and fun. To say that we had great time is an understatement.

So blessed to have such good and crazy friends :)

Welcome Von James

Our good friend J-mie of  Risible Wanderer gave birth to a super duper cute baby boy last June 8 and like what we usually do for our special friends, we made sure we were there the very first day to welcome the newest baby. And this time, we made a welcome banner for him!

And look how happy we were (my husband and I are all smile di ba?)

I know someday soon, we will have our own baby na din and for sure he will be welcomed with so much love too!!

My best friend gave birth  to a healthy baby boy last February 28, she lives in the province and we immediately went home the following day to see her and their cute baby!

This boy is special because my friend waited for him for 11 long years, we all waited patiently and finally god answered all our prayers. Nothing is impossible to our Lord!

As you all know, we are still waiting for ours and this year will be our 7th year. I know in my heart God will grant the desire of of our hearts too. We will keep on praying and waiting till it's our turn.

Coming home from USA

A friend and her whole family is coming home from the United States for the Christmas season and we can't wait to see them. They are going home before their kids aged 3 and 2 start school next year. They said it would be pretty hard for them to schedule another vacation here once the kids are already in school. We've been talking about it when ever we got the time to skype and she told me that they are seriously considering of moving to another state because of this. She can't seem to find a good public school in their area.

They won't be moving to New York though because if they are, I would ask her to check nyc tutors for her kids as this might be of help to her, according to the site they have surprisingly affordable price. So if you live within the area, you might want to check them.

But I think Florida is where they're going, though they are still praying for it.  I wish them the best. For the meantime, we will be spending lots of good and happy times while they're here. After all it would be a while before we see them again. Or maybe not? Who knows, we might visit them in the US someday and tour New York too!! Okay, I maybe dreaming but there is nothing impossible with God right?

Happy news. Hopeful

I got a happy e-mail today from my best friend in our home province, my matron of honor during my wedding. She confirmed that she is pregnant (3 months) and that I'm gonna be a ninang (godmother) soon!

So yes that's a happy news. See, this friend of mine has been married 10 years ago and they've been waiting for this gift ever since.

Ten long years and God did not fail them.

This mail made me more hopeful that someday soon it will be our turn. Someday soon it will be me emailing friends, announcing that we are expecting. Someday soon.

For now, I remain hopeful.

Birthday dinner and monopoly

It was my very very good friend J-mie's birthday last Thursday, we were invited for a dinner and for a monopoly game. Dinner and Monopoly is just what I needed after a long day of work and I can't wait so we were there early. While waiting for the dinner to be ready, I took some photos of this very cute little boy (J-mie's son)

 I love love this boy, I enjoy taking his pictures, i already have loads here in my disc and both me and hubby's  cellphone's screen saver is also a picture of him :)

and the dinner came :) Lasagna and a chicken meal made specially by the birthday celebrant's sister. The lasagna is so good, my husband said I should learn that recipe..

We also had cassava cake, a chocolate cake and yummy pizza from Papa John's
And here's my friend with her son and husband who arrived few days before her birthday..sweet surprise!

After devouring what's in the table, we played monopoly. I am super enjoying this game right now, I'm thinking of buying one so we can play with my nephews and nieces when we visit my mom and dad in the province, but this board game cost at least a thousand pesos! (ipon mode muna)

More than the food and the game, it's the friendship that matters. I am blessed I have friends and spending time  with them is something to look forward to always, with or without the dinner and the monopoly.

Weekend Coffee

How was your weekend everyone?  I just can't believe how weekends fly so fast no? it's seems only yesterday when we are all uttering "thank God it's Friday" but look..it's Monday again tomorrow, and I know most if not all people who works somehow hates Monday :) but Monday is inevitable and we have to face it whether we like it or not.

But I had a good weekend so far. I had a coffee break and a good chat  with friends with our now favorite coffee shop that is just around the neighborhood. Who wouldn't love a nice coffee shop just around the corner? and not to mention they offer equally good coffee like those of high end coffee shop too!

 I also bought my self a new pair of shoes for only 200.00! Thank God for a very good Retail System in the country (if that has to do something with my good buy).

~It's 2:39 AM and here I am still reading a lipofuze review and also iPad clone tablet reviews which sells so cheap compared to the real one. I think I want that for my self this Christmas but I will not decide yet. I don't need the real and expensive one and honestly I can't afford it so when I saw that I can buy something "like" that..I got interested.

~ I finally saw the Leoncios (friends from Georgia) today and  it feels good to see them, the kids are here for the first time. Liah is such a cute girl. Sad that the youngest is sick and will not be able to attend his birthday celebration at Jollibee tomorrow. Wrong timing tigdas.

~ The Bibu Kids Christmas party was also today. It was tiring for sure but very well worth it. (separate post will be in our ministry blog)

~ It's first Sunday of December today _ meaning communion day so I guess I have to sleep now so I can be at the church early tomorrow morning err..later
