It was just a quick lunch at Chicken Charlie actually after an errand, we were in a hurry because we still have training to attend that afternoon but you know how they say that dating is good for husband and wife. And for us, it's the closest we can have because of  our work.

Anyways, we had a good time and we enjoyed our food.

The lemonade was his choice while mine was the unhealthy one :)

I  wasn't able to take picture of his food because as I have said we were in a hurry but he enjoyed his 2 piece chicken also :)

Birthday Dinner in Vikings

This was of course a late post because hubs birthday was September 14th.

We dined in at Vikings because they do have a birthday promo :) Hubby's dinner is free! And as you all know, we love eat all you can because we are big eaters..hahaha!!

Vikings at SM Jazz in Makati City is only 5 minutes away from us so no hassle going there.

My favorites are their sushi and maki :) look at these colors..so good!

The Ostrich Farm @ Blue Bay Walk

Last weekend, our good friend J-mie treated us for a very yummy and special hamburger (early birthday treat for Rudolf!) at The Ostrich Farm in Blue Bay Walk in Macapagal, Pasay City. It's a burger restaurant and these days I am so into hamburgers..hahaha! I think I can eat burgers everyday :)

They say ostrich burger is a healthier option so we gave in to the wait staff's suggestion even if it is too much pricey ( Thanks again J-mie!) but I still prefer the taste of beef.

Our homemade California Maki

Our very first attempt was a failure because of the wrong nori (seaweeds) sheets size we bought. It was very disappointing  but  of course we did not give up. Last night we tried again and it was a success!!

Ours is cheaper version because we did not have japanese mayo and a salmon or any fish for that matter. We only used cucumber, mango, crab meat sticks and the rice :)

At first I thought it was hard but the only tricky part for me is the rice. Take note that we did not use Japanese rice also,  we substituted it with our own local sticky/glutinous (malagkit) rice. In fact, the only Japaneses ingredient we had is the Wasabi. Nonetheless, it was still yummy for us :D

We had extra mangoes, cucumbers and crab meat sticks so we used it to top our maki rolls :)

Buddy's Lucban Longanisa

Last week, my friend Carmel promised me she will make me her own version of Vigan longanisa (sausage in other countries) but we ran out of time and energy so we ended up dining in Buddys not only because we are craving for a good longanisa but also because Buddys is just a stone throw away from our house.

As always, their Lucban longanisa is a delight, mouthwatering and worth every penny.  We ordered 2 dozen, four of us consumed every bit of it. Cravings satisfied.

I am a Certifed longanisa lover and Lucban's is on the top of my list together with Vigan and ours (from Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija)

Also, my friend J-mie mentioned longanisa from Cebu (because we are going to Cebu this April for Mission Camp) and I think I'll give it a try. We'll see if it will also be included in my top list :)

J.BOY (Japanese fastfood shop)

As I mentioned in my last post, we went here for lunch last Sunday. I thought it was expensive for us but I guess because it's fast food shop it is reasonably price and am happy kasi we can afford it. hehe!

This was my husband's plate, Beef Teriyaki combo, the fried rice is sooo good!! sulit na talaga for 155.00

this was my order, power combo and it's also 155.00 pesos. All their combo menu are serve with Miso soup.

Pre-valentine dinner @ Dampa

My husband and I joined the pre-valentine dinner with the couples in our church last Saturday, and as always, we enjoyed it not only because of the good and yummy food but with the fellowship we had that night. Here are photos of the food we enjoyed.

With all the food I had this weekend, I really need to exercise some more, walk more or maybe do some yoga and buy yoga blocks,for sure the husband will disagree. Anyways, sorry :) I know it's too early to make you drool but don't worry because right now I'm drooling too and feeling hungry :(

Sorry for the very blurred photos. I forgot our digicam and I didn't think of using my camphone which is way better than hubby's. These shots are from his cellphone.

But anyway, we were supposed to watch a movie last Wednesday (his birthday) but we were 30 minutes late for the movie that I wanted to see. So  we just walked and walked and ended up dining  in Giligans at Greenbelt 1. It was our first time there and though me thinks that it's not for a quiet dinner (because it's a bistro and beers are served and there is an acoustic band playing) we did enjoy the food and it's not that pricey either. I love their sinigang na bangus belly most. We also had garlic chicken and grilled liempo.Good for four persons but we consumed it all :) (matakaw na mag asawa..hehe!)

Again, sorry for the bad pictures. I think even I print it and use the best scanner software, it will still not look better. Now,the camera stays in my bag always.

SAKAE SUSHI: Sushi all you can!!

I have been longing to eat in this restaurant since I saw the picture of this conveyor belt endlessly parading sushi right in your very eyes and just within an arm reach :) I have since imagined my self picking up plates in different color.

So when a discount voucher was offered months ago, we grabbed the opportunity and bought one for us (one voucher is good for six people).

Last Sunday my longing was fulfilled. And I was not disappointed nor was my husband. We both enjoyed it and we were sushi filled. Thankful that we bought the voucher because if not, we might have paid over a thousand pesos for what we have consumed. Sad that I wasn't able to take a picture of the tower plates in our table :) The attendant put it away too soon eh. It's a proof sana that we really enjoyed it.

Although the voucher has restrictions like we were only accommodated at 2 PM and we only have one hour to spend inside, it was still sulit - (getting more than what you have paid for sabi nga ni Kris :D )

Before an hour is over we were all full na and we couldn't take a look na sa conveyor..

 But with our voucher we only paid 250.00 each :)

Dinner.Coffee.Talk

I went out with friends last night and I realized I haven't been out with friends for quite sometime now, it's always been me, hubby and my the two nephews. And I also realized how I needed that time out.

We had dinner at Som's Noodle House (my first time there) and  I must say I enjoyed the food so much. The shrimp rice is superb. I think I can eat it alone and I'll be more than satisfied.

But the best thing is being able to chat and talk with someone whom you know you're going trough the same thing. Discussing work and changes and fears and plans and motivations and everything. And top it with my favorite caramel macchiato coffee. That's sound so perfectly nice.

Well, good thing also is we didn't just talk and chat about work, about how we already lost the passion (I guess you can relate if you're like me who's been working with document management system and being an EA for at least 10 years now) and moving on but we also planned someone's baby shower.Though I guess the planning was just an excuse to have a late night coffee.

I know I needed that late night coffee break.

Saturday Dinner @ CYMA

It was funny because I photographed the menu but not the food we ordered, maybe because we were all hungry so when the food came we waited no time.
