We chance upon this cute burger house one Saturday last December when I attended a business workshop near that area. The look is inviting so we tried :) 

 our burgers!

This is for the husband, he ordered "double decker". You can refer to the menu below for what's in there :)

And that burger with fries is mine :0 This is their "double decker". I enjoyed my burger, hubs said he still prefers our favorite "Blazing burger" which is a stone throw away from our house.

if you are near the area, go on and try this place, it won't probably hurt your budget and besides the ambiance is nice! I wish to go back also and try their other burgers :)

Maginhawa food trip : The Lost Bread

From Buffalo bro's Ribs and Wings, we went straight to The Lost Bread, famous for the eye candy presentation of their shakes and frappes.

True enough.  My initial reaction was, how will you drink it?

Their shakes are indeed pleasing to the eye but honestly, I did not like the taste, it taste different for me, so I settled and ended up enjoying my cup of coffee instead.

Would I recommend this? definitely! if you're a foodie and into shakes and frappes, go try this! Budget is 150.00 to 200.00 at least for a shake.

Maginhawa food trip : Buffalo Ribs & Wings

Happy Monday everyone! I'm starting off this week with a very delectable blog post, because last week, we finally fulfilled a plan we've been making years ago :) at last hindi na drawing di ba?

We headed to Maginhawa St of Quezon City- a food haven for food enthusiasts.

We first went to Buffalo Ribs and Wings, located at 45B Maginhawa, UP Village, Quezon City. It was of course referred to us by friends who already had a taste of their buffalo wings.

A 12 pcs plate of hot chili  and garlic parmesan wings. I think this cost 249.00 or more basta less than 300.00

They said their hot buffalo wings are so good buy since I am not fond of hot and chili food, I ordered the garlic parmesan wings. They did not disappoint. It was good I almost ordered rice :)

I also tried this milk shake.  Caramel pretzel for 150.00. If you are not counting your sugar intake, Go for it!

My girls ordered burgers for them. I tried a bite (each kind) and what can I say? I love the fries..hahaha!  Their burgers are of good price actually but not my taste. i love the real beef patties in burgers eh. These burgers are fried chicken burger, pulled  pork burger and I can't remember the other one. Those who ordered enjoyed it naman.

I will go back someday soon to try their ribs which is quite affordable too.

The Ostrich Farm @ Blue Bay Walk

Last weekend, our good friend J-mie treated us for a very yummy and special hamburger (early birthday treat for Rudolf!) at The Ostrich Farm in Blue Bay Walk in Macapagal, Pasay City. It's a burger restaurant and these days I am so into hamburgers..hahaha! I think I can eat burgers everyday :)

They say ostrich burger is a healthier option so we gave in to the wait staff's suggestion even if it is too much pricey ( Thanks again J-mie!) but I still prefer the taste of beef.

And it is almost middle of the month and I'm only on my first post. I know things have been quite busy but I guess that is not an excuse for me not to blog.

Anyways, here's random pictures of us of where we've been and what are we doing for the past weeks.

SEARCH FOR A WEDDING VENUE 

We were in Tagaytay last July  4 (Saturday), it was rainy but it's ok, we were able to check this beautiful garden that is perfectly fir for the wedding of a young couple who are very dear to us.  I am working on two weddings now and I sooo love it!.

And because we were in Tagaytay and it is cold and raining, Bulalo for dinner  is a must!

The next morning, we were out again early because we have a birthday event where we made balloon decors. Thank you Lord for the extra income :)

and then..that same evening we went to CITY OF DREAMS MANILA..

The boss gave us a  voucher in one of the restaurants there and we wanted to experience City of dreams, it's a hotel and casino and without that voucher we know we will never go there, it's an expensive place :) So thanks to the boss.

Last week was also a busy week inspite of the heavy rain brought about by two typhoons. It's indeed wet season here now.

My dear husband went for a recording Friday night (July 10), he tagged me along  :) It's been a while since I went with him in the  recording studio and it's a joy to see him do what he loved to do, play guitar, sing and make music. It reminded me of his ultimate dream of having his own studio someday, speakers, mixers, instrument and gadgets and even these mid atlantic racks, I just hope and pray we will be able to have that in our home soon.  

This week...guess what? we are traveling!!! yey! finally, we are going out of town after four years. We are going to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday till Monday. We are attending an International  prayer/revival conference and of course we are doing some sight seeing too. I am excited!!

July is an exciting month for us and I do hope you are having the best time also. God bless everyone!

Forest Wood Garden, San Pablo Laguna

Someone with a very good heart treated us for a different kind of food here in San Pablo, Laguna after the camp. The place is amazing as well as the food because it is grown there and is organic. I never thought I'll enjoy mushrooms but I did and best of it all we picked them up and they cook it in front of us!

Fried mushrooms ala Calamare :) below is the vinegar sauce which makes it even more mouth watering!

Another signature food from Forest wood is the "Plantsado"  and yes it came from the word "plantsa" or to iron because literally, you have to iron it like this :)

Not the electric iron though but the old school iron where they have to put charcoal inside :) Plantsado is a combination of different root crops. It's delicious I tell you, not only did I enjoyed "ironing" my food but also the taste of it! We had lots of buko juice also! We did not get to taste their "kalabuko" so I think we have to come back for that.

Forest wood Garden also does landscaping that is why they have plenty of ornamental plants in their place. It is very quiet here and very refreshing. I can stay here and read a book the whole day or maybe just sleep the whole day. :)

The owner said that some of their huts were damaged during typhoon Glenda but they are rebuilding new ones.

They offer a lot more, they have man made lake and you can also use their place as camp site. So if you're living on this side or if you are going South, please go and drop by, the owners are both Christians and they are also doing ministries in their area. I'm sure you will love it there! BonChon at Cash & Carry Mall

is now open!

Years ago when I moved in to Palanan, Makati City, Cash & Carry was just a grocery store. But now, it is huge, with two cinemas and lots of food shop to choose from.

So happy to see BonChon there because I love their chicken and their chapchae (glass noodles). My husband is partial with the chicken though, Jollibee and KFC are still his favorites.

J.BOY (Japanese fastfood shop)

As I mentioned in my last post, we went here for lunch last Sunday. I thought it was expensive for us but I guess because it's fast food shop it is reasonably price and am happy kasi we can afford it. hehe!

This was my husband's plate, Beef Teriyaki combo, the fried rice is sooo good!! sulit na talaga for 155.00

this was my order, power combo and it's also 155.00 pesos. All their combo menu are serve with Miso soup.

Breakfast @ Sinangag Express

I am such a breakfast person :) and I've been wanting to try Sinangag Express (sinangang means fried rice) so I can have a taste of their "authentic Vigan longganisa". So when we joined the youth of our church in their "Run for a Cause" activity last Saturday (Feb.18) we headed to the nearest Sinagang Express branch  in San Antonio Village, Makati City and had these :)

I'm not disappointed, though I think it is still a bit different from the Vigan longganisa that I'm used to..it is still so good!! I wasn't able to resist the rice of course :)

We spent more or less 200 pesos I guess, not bad for that very very yummy breakfast!
