Happy Monday!

Starting the day right. It’s Monday, new day of the week and it is but right to start happy and positive

I need to do this or else I’ll be overwhelmed with work in the office and it would be easy to get depressed and tired which I don’t like at all.

Anyways, this week starts a new challenge in terms of work. I just hope and pray I will be able to deliver of what is expected of me.

My weekend was spent with the husband and my side of the family, this not so little girl anymore celebrated her 13^th birthday last Sunday and she had her first Starbucks coffee too. I just want her to experience it because that coffee is too expensive for us (we are not rich that’s why). She’s happy that at least she was able to try it.

Speaking of my family side, my Mom is here again in the city with us and just three days after her arrival, she is asking me again when I will bring her home in the province. She is really not comfortable here and much as we want to we can’t let her be alone in that old house of ours.  First, the house needs complete renovation, the roof is leaking, and some of the wood pillars and flooring upstairs are not safe anymore because of termites. I have long been praying and hoping that we’ll be able to do the renovation soon so Mom can see it, for sure she’ll be happy about it.

Anyways, searching for pest control brought me here, and because I am not in the US maybe those who read my blog from there can benefit, check this  Orlando critter control they specialized in nuisance animal removal . Cool no? here in my part of the world, you only hire pest control and that’s it, if it’s  wild animals I don’t know, in the province some people will just get it and make it their pet. Dead animal removal, pest animal damage repair, they can do it all.

Ok, going back, pest control is not an option for our old family house anymore. Renovation is the solution and MIRACLE because where will we get the money for that?

Maybe, if I work and work and work and work even more.  Hopefully, a blessing will come and my dream of renovating it for my Mother’s comfort will become a reality.

JHOW Worship Camp

We will be out of town again tomorrow till Saturday for another camp. This time, the husband is involved because he is the Worship Director of our church. I am just there to support :) Actually, I was supposed to attend a class reunion (elementary) in our province but they moved the date.II welcomed the change of schedule :)   I am more than happy that I'll be with my husband for the first ever worship camp he is conducting.

F-r-i-e-n-d-s

Because it was the first Sunday of the month last Sunday and we had joint worship service, friends decided to come to our small house after church, we watched movies, we shared stories, we laugh, we cooked and we made memories :)

Five couples minus one husband who is currently abroad plus four kids and what do you expect? It was chaotic but it was full of laughter and fun. To say that we had great time is an understatement.

So blessed to have such good and crazy friends :)

More long weekends please

Because the Pope visited the Philippines, we had no work from Jan 15-19. They closed some major roads specially those roads where the Pope will pass by thus the need for work cancellation.

I am not practicing Catholic but I very much welcomed the extra holidays. *Insert wide grin here*

So what to do with 5 days? A lot actually. We did not go to vacation but we did ministry work.  I scheduled a meeting and planning  cum rest and recreation with our youth leaders in my friend's house in Cavite last January 15-16.

It was such a relax meeting that lasted till nearly midnight :) The next morning we went for a dip in the pool at their clubhouse.

 My husband was also very busy as he was involved in this worship event.

Sunday afternoon, I had another meeting with another set of youth leaders from different churches in San Pablo, Laguna for our upcoming youth camp.

It felt good to be able to do so many things specially those meetings that has long been overdue. The sad part though is that, those meetings and planning gave me more tasks to do. :( And now I need more "no office days" again to finish them all. hahaha!

Hoping for more long weekends :)

Birthday Post

I really am not into big birthday celebrations (for myself), in fact I am contented and happy just being with my love ones on that day, even if we do nothing special. This year is no different but that does not mean I was not happy because contrary to that I felt very special on that day because my husband treated me to a breakfast buffet. He knows how I love breakfast food eh and that I will be very happy about it. So yes, we woke up extra early that day to have an eat all you can breakfast.

 We also had lunch with our Head Pastor who happens to have the same birthday as mine.  It was a double celebration for us, the church treated us for a very sumptuous lunch. My only regret is not being able to take decent pictures.

On Sunday afternoon, a friend invited us over to their house where we had a swim at their clubhouse, it was fun. I had a full weekend and a happy birthday indeed.

Thank you everyone for the greetings you sent thru text and facebook messages. I love you too.

Lastly, Thank you LORD for everything.

productive weekend

I think I just had my most productive Saturday last weekend. Here's why..

Woke up before 8:00 AM-went to Bambang (Rizal Avenue,Manila) to canvas and buy some stuff for my boss, we were there until 11 AM.

Before 12 noon we are already on our way to RAON (Quiapo, Manila)  to buy things for my husband's project ( box/carrier for his guitar effects)

Around 1:30 PM we had lunch at the food plaza of Save More Sta Ana, Manila and waited for 2PM to finally meet a N@wie to close a transaction from our garage sale page :D Nice meeting you sis!

After that, we went to San Juan and brought the stuff I bought from Bambang to my boss' house. Oh yes, it's Saturday and I am working :D bait ko no? hehe!!!

We were home around past 3 in the afternoon. BUT WAIT, our day is not over yet...with all that lakad we made..I still have much energy (so unusual of me)..

So while the husband started on his project..I went down and did the laundry (I also washed some of my bags and shoes and slippers) I was done at around 6PM (bilis ko lang naman maglaba)

We had  a quick snack then we prepared ourselves na and went to church for our 6th day of prayer and fasting. We finished at around 9 PM, went straight to my sister's house to pick up Rachel (my niece) who will be sleeping over with us.

Finally home at around 11 PM. Was in bed before 2AM of Sunday.

Such a full Saturday no? Oh..if you think we had Sunday to rest, nope..because we woke up even earlier as it is church day :)

But I don't complain though..I am actually amazed of the energy I had these last few days. I think the supplements I am taking are already working :)

rainy lazy weekend

We are having a rainy weekend and no one is complaining because it's a relieve from the very warm weather for the past few weeks.

And I am welcoming much the cooler breeze.Thank you Lord. 

Well, except maybe those who have weekend plans in a beach because it's still summer here, I don't think I'll enjoy a rainy weekend in a beach :(

Good thing we have no special weekend plans, no swimming or outing. just ordinary weekend. Sometimes it feels good to just stay at home and laze around, specially when you just got back from an out of town trip and you have yet to unpack your bags. Which is what I probably do tomorrow ..later actually because it's almost 2 in the morning. Unpacking reminded me that we need reclosable bags for gadgets and wallets and whatever is in our bag that needs safekeeping. I nearly wet our camera on our last trip :(

And since I declared tomorrow as stay at home weekend, I do not have plans of getting up early nor the husband I guess because he's still up right now.

Weekend Coffee

How was your weekend everyone?  I just can't believe how weekends fly so fast no? it's seems only yesterday when we are all uttering "thank God it's Friday" but look..it's Monday again tomorrow, and I know most if not all people who works somehow hates Monday :) but Monday is inevitable and we have to face it whether we like it or not.

But I had a good weekend so far. I had a coffee break and a good chat  with friends with our now favorite coffee shop that is just around the neighborhood. Who wouldn't love a nice coffee shop just around the corner? and not to mention they offer equally good coffee like those of high end coffee shop too!

 I also bought my self a new pair of shoes for only 200.00! Thank God for a very good Retail System in the country (if that has to do something with my good buy).

Friday Thoughts

1. Thanking God for weekend, off from work :)
2. Wishing I have money now so I can go home and visit my parents
3. Sunday's birthday celebration of dear granddaughter -which reminds me of the decoration (read: balloons) I promised daw. I do not know though if we could make it, I don't feel partying but I'm sure I'll miss the fun.
4. Blog/Domain problem (additional stress)
5. have to finish the "Undomestic Goddess" ebook I started last week, reminder also to install and download e reader in my tablet.
6. Food (that will make me happy)
7. Laundry
8. Walking as form of exercise with hubby (started last night)happy!!
9. Decision about ministry -which is becoming stressful also
10. Vacation- dreaming lang :)

Full weekend

And I am tired and I need a real coffee break!

Okay, just so you have an idea how full my day was and my weekend so far..
Saturday, woke up at 6 :00 in the morning because we attended the VBS training at CSM Paranaque, that was 8:00 till 4:00 in the afternoon but I have to leave early because I have another seminar in Mega mall at 4:30 PM. And not only that, we hurriedly went home after the Mega mall event because we still have rehearsal (band practice) for the Sunday worship service, and we printed invitations for a friend's wedding (regie & jiji) and here I am..still typing. It's already 2:41 AM.

Tomorrow, Sunday (which is today already), I also have a full day schedule, a prenup in the afternoon right after the worship service and then to San Mateo and to Cogeo at night.

I just hope I will still have the energy for all of that..

but guess what? I dread Monday :) hehe..kahit na sana busy weekend..basta wag lang mag Monday..:(

~It's 2:39 AM and here I am still reading a lipofuze review and also iPad clone tablet reviews which sells so cheap compared to the real one. I think I want that for my self this Christmas but I will not decide yet. I don't need the real and expensive one and honestly I can't afford it so when I saw that I can buy something "like" that..I got interested.

~ I finally saw the Leoncios (friends from Georgia) today and  it feels good to see them, the kids are here for the first time. Liah is such a cute girl. Sad that the youngest is sick and will not be able to attend his birthday celebration at Jollibee tomorrow. Wrong timing tigdas.

~ The Bibu Kids Christmas party was also today. It was tiring for sure but very well worth it. (separate post will be in our ministry blog)

~ It's first Sunday of December today _ meaning communion day so I guess I have to sleep now so I can be at the church early tomorrow morning err..later

Meeting Friends

I am excited for this weekend not only because it is a long weekend but because I'm meeting (old but good and true) friends of mine. And I don't care if I have to travel 4 hours on Friday night, I am sure all the hassle will worth it. After all I only get to see these friends once a year and it's an exclusive girl night out, well not actually night out but a sleep over unless we go opt to go out for a coffee.

This year it's even more special and exciting because one of them is announcing something which we all do not know yet, that gives us all the more excitement. It will be sleepless night, imagine 6 ladies chatting endlessly. And I know wrinkle creams and all other beauty stuff will be part of the chat.  I am so looking forward to this. Thank God it's happening this Friday night!!

Skincare and weekend

Hi everyone!! How's your weekend going? Are you having a busy weekend or a lazy stay at home day? How I wish for the latter but I am having the first. It is a busy weekend for me.And I hope I will not need the best acne treatment after this week. But chances are with the way things going in my life right now. Good luck to my skin and face.

One, I've been sleeping so late for the whole week, and when I say late it means 3:00 am or 2:00 AM. And I know for someone to have a good skin  she needs at least 8 hour of sleep everyday. 

Next, I am always on the road and with our service vehicle (motorbike) I am exposed everyday to the heat and pollutants around.

So really good luck to my face.

But I can not complain because the reason why I always sleep late and why I am busy ,it's all worth it. I mean I do not stay late just playing games or chatting. I am working.

Anyways, whatever weekend you are having I hope you are enjoying it to the max!!

Happy Birthday Baby Gwen!

This cute little girl is the daughter of Gwen and Mari of a housewife journal. I met her through N@W and then we became friends thru blogging, she's the one who introduced me to the sheriff!! we finally met yesterday as we celebrated Gwen's first birthday. As you can see, the husband and I had loads of fun at the party especially hubby who made fun of Jollibee. :) At least he doesn't have to make kulit of me for that gswf thing about the ref.

Thank you so much sis for inviting us!! I hope you like the balloons we made. You darling is such a cutie!!!And thank you for the picture frames!! I love it!!

Rainy but long weekend

yes, we are all having rainy weekend and it sucks because we were supposed to go to Cogeo and visit my cousin with our motorbike but because the road is not safe and we don't want to soak ourselves, we decided we will just take the bus. For those who have cars make sure you have rain guards and that you drive carefully.

It's a long weekend again and saying I am happy is an understatement. I am ecstatic..hehe! I love long weekends and with the September 21st being holiday again, it makes me off all Mondays of September!! wohoo! Next Monday which is hubby's birthday, we will be in Cebu.

Weekend plans

It's weekend once again! It seems only yesterday when I was making plans of going home to Cabanatuan and see my friends. Time is flying so fast indeed!

Well, as for our weekend plans and I hope I get to accomplish everything I will list down here.
Domestic duties muna.

SATURDAY
1. Dentist appointment - I should prioritize this otherwise I won't be able to do anything because of this toothache.

2. Wet Market - We thought it would be cheaper if we will buy at least 2 weeks food supply in the market rather than buying it from Cash and Carry.

3. Laundry - Since we are in the tipid mode, I decided we will just do the laundry instead of taking them to laundry shop.

SUNDAY
I should rest naman after all I had a tooth extraction Saturday di ba?
Hahaha! I just realized how will I do all those stuff when I just had nga pala a tooth extraction. Silly me.

So it's a rest weekend after all?? If that's the case I hope I can still work online this weekend, maybe I can join a friend who is working in an insurance marketing firm on her late night schedule or I can just play and play games on facebook. I hope our internet application will be approved and installed soon so I'll have something to do this weekend.

For the meantime, it is still not weekend so meaning I still have to work.

Great time with great friends!

I had a wonderful holiday yesterday. I traveled hundred miles and spent at least 4 hours sitting and bored in the bus last Sunday but it’s worth it. I went home to Cabanatuan City to meet and reunite with special friends. We had so much fun!!!

Tere and I now officially call it “annual sleep-over” although I am hoping this would not be just once a year get-together.

We’ve missed each other so much. Have not seen them for over 3 years and it seems we just saw each other yesterday. I am so amazed how deep rooted the friendship we had. The feelings including all the secrets we can’t tell to just anyone were shared and discussed as soon as we sat down and have coffee. And we all matured really big time, before we will chit-chat with alcoholic beverage in hand and we will not sufficed our selves with just sitting in someone’s home but will be out there on the best gimik place in town. So I can say we all gotten matured in terms of that. But of course we jokingly said that we are “old” now. Plus the fact that most of us are now moms except for me and Tere and the kids were there and had great time too!

Just wanna share photos from the get-together. It’s a bit sad though that we missed one of our girl friend named Tess. So Tess, if you happen to read this, if you happen lang kasi I know naman walang internet sa bundok..hehe! please know that you are deeply missed by us.

Subic Beach

It's confirmed, we're going on Sunday Afternoon and will stay overnight.
Although, we still don't have the specific place to go to. As of now,we are still looking for cheap accommodation that is very near the beach, probably one big house that will fit us all. I wonder if we will be needing some appetite suppressant because I'm sure there will be lots of foods!

Have not been into any of Subic beaches and that makes me more excited. Though Last December we spent our new year at Anawangin Cove in Zambales which is very near Subic.I hope I would love this one too.

So far we have three options.

But whatever or wherever I don't care because I'm sure it's gonna be fun fun fun!

It's Monday again :(

Actually it's still Sunday night but I in few hours it will be office day again. But then again I know I have reasons to be happy too because next next Monday will be a holiday!! Whoooo! Nothing can beat a holiday on Monday. I know you working moms out there know what I mean.

So how was my weekend?

Well, I am so glad this weekend was not that busy as I was expecting. The plan of going to Divisoria was canceled so I just stayed home yesterday.

But this afternoon, right after the worship service and lunch,we went out with our friend J-mie and Vhon. I miss going out to the mall but I didn't realize that not until we were there at the Mall of Asia. Believe me, we have never been to MOA probably since last quarter of 2007. And I still don't find it appealing unless you're going there to buy something you need. We went to Our Home section and saw some good furnitures and a nice tv stand at a very good price. It's not that far but it is still not convenient enough for us to go to more often.

After Moa we visited Nicole in Alabang our cute goddaughter. We missed her so much :) Am so glad to see her again.

There goes our weekend. Monday is yet to come but I am looking forward now to next weekend because as I have said it's a long weekend and we will go to the beach!!! Exciting!!
