I am keeping my fingers crossed. We are visiting Singapore next year.So as early as now I am trying to look for the cheapest flight. Cebu Pacific goes on sale from time to time so I'm checking it always. This morning I saw from a newspaper that Jetstar is also on sale. here's what I saw on the website.
Manila to Singapore - $80 RETURN FLIGHT - $0 or in other words FREE!! but of course there is the terms and conditions ;
*JetSaver Light fares have no checked baggage allowance. Carry on baggage limits, including size restrictions, will be strictly applied. Passengers with more than the applicable carry on baggage allowance will need to check in baggage, and charges will apply. More details on cabin baggage
Of course you can also choose a JetSaver fare for just $15 more - with the full 20kg checked baggage allowance.
Terms and Conditions
* Sale starts on 8 Jun and ends on 16 Jun 2009 and travel between 1 July - 31 Oct 2009 only.
* Depart Fares quoted are on one way basis and include airport taxes
* ^$0 Return Fares quoted do not include airport taxes of RM68, USD20, TWD631, and THB669 which are payable for the respective cities.
* Seats are subjected to availability and fares may not be available for peak periods and public holiday.
* A service fee (per person per sector) is applicable for booking through Call Centre and travel agents.
* Applicable to Jetstar (3K) and Valuair (VF) flights arriving into Singapore.
* Fares are non-refundable. Limited changes are permitted, charges apply.

I think Cebu Pacific will still be cheaper as long as I can book while they are on sale. Like what we did for our Macau trip last year which we only paid Php450.00 one way. Very good deal! Of course travel medical insurance is not included, but still that was best deal ever.
I hope Cebu Pacific goes all out sale again before the year ends.
