MC Mountain, Tagaytay

We checked in at around 6pm of Nov 27, we paid 7,500 for two rooms for the first night and one room for the second night. That includes breakfast for 7 people for the first morning and for 4 people on the second.

Choices for breakfast were longganisa, hotdog, tocino, and corned beef, all with rice, egg, drinks (pineapple, iced tea, orange, coffee) and a fruit (banana or pineapple)
Breakfast

The published rate according to the site and brochure is 2,500 for the room but good for two adults only. The owner was easy to talk to and she gave us discount.

We opted for MC Mountain because it’s the nearest apartelle in Sonya’s garden, And me being the coordinator needs to be there early in the morning during preparation since we don’t have the van yet we took the tricycle early that morning and paid 24.00. It’s like less than 5 minutes away.the mini kitchen

in front of our room

Our room is just basic but spacious enough for all of us. There’s hot water in the bathroom and in the sink. You can also ask for hot water for your coffee or noodles. The staff was all courteous and nice.

For the price we paid, it’s sulit na plus you have internet outside your room (lobby).

It would have been better though if they have a 24 hour store, they can sell snacks, coffee, toiletries or some stuff for remembrance like a Personalized Jewelry there. Guests would surely love it. We were hungry when midnight came and we're too lazy to go out so I guess it would better if they have convenience store in the area.

I am in Tagaytay

Hi everyone! yup..am here in Tagaytay and been here since Friday for a friend's wedding which I coordinated. The wedding was at Sonya's garden and it's beautiful!! Sonya's place is always beautiful, so romantic and enchanting specially at night. I'll post pictures when my friends who have their camera uploaded theirs, you see I don't have pictures because our digicam is with the husband. I enjoyed the fresh green salad again from Sonya's and the pasta, for sure me and my friends will be needing slim pills to shed all the extra pounds we will get for staying here, it's quite cold, calm and quiet, perfect ambiance for us to eat all the bulalo we can eat.haha!

Anyways, we're here at MC mountain home apartelle and I'm gonna do a review or sort when I get back to Manila which is this afternoon.

Enjoy your long weekend people!!

Unveiling Sonya's not so Secret Garden

Here are some of the pictures I took yesterday, as promised I’ll post them here. Of course credits are not all mine because I have to give in to hubby who I admit was able to take more beautiful photos than I am. This reminds me that he has been asking for new micro sd for his picture taking pleasure.I’m gonna post the lunch we had first and then more of the garden later.

This is the centerpiece for each table. Cut flowers and they are also from their garden together with all the greens that they served.

We were first served with freshly harvested lettuce and arugula topped with mango and watermelon, It comes with cucumber, nuts and some more toppings. Their SUPER SECRET SALAD DRESSING is amazingly good!

The pasta came in second, it was served with two choices of sauces, the sun dried tomato and the chicken cream with mango plus a lot more toppings like salmon belly, shitake mushroom, black olives and grated parmesan cheese.Didn’t have the chance to taste the chicken cream but hubby said it is nice also.

We forgot to take pictures of the desserts, we enjoyed the banana rolls with sesame and jackfruit, it was so good! And of course their famous “smashingly sinful homemade chocolate cake was also yummy” . The picture above was taken when we went to the panaderia.

It’s all worth it, it’s eat all you can so you can just request for some more as long as you’re not full. Not bad for 610.00 per person no?

the search for "bulalo"

Last Sunday, as post celebration of hubbys birthday, we went to Tagaytay and yes we rode in our motorcycles and this was our very first long trip. I was nervous at first, I keep on reminding hubby that his speed should only be at 6okph maximum...our rider buddies keep on joking that we'll reach tagaytay the next day because of our speed. It was cold, we did not anticipated how cold it can get and though we were on our jackets, we were still chilling. we left makati at around 4 and we were there mga before 6pm siguro.

So our first agenda is to eat and have a taste of that cheap and yet yummy bulalo..but unfortunately we're late,a local said it was already close..mga 8pm na yata yun..kasi we dropped by pa to our churchmate there and we had cofee and pansit. So we went on and look for another place to eat..by this time I'm really craving na sa bulalo kasi naman sobrang lamig talaga tapos naka motor ka pa di ba?

We ended up here;

RSM Lutong Bahay, In fairness, masarap naman ang bulalo nila..and the place is good..all woods and there are cottages at the back where you can have sort of private dining.

After few hours of eating and mostly picture taking, we dropped by din sa starbucks and have a cup of coffee before going home
tapos we went home na, it was fun..we reach home at around 11:45 PM na yata. I would like to do it again siguro some other nearby province din like laguna or bulacan. For more of our pictures here's the link ;http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=14714&l=c5637&id=507437717
