18th Birthday photos

The preparation for this birthday celebration took me a lot of time because Mharu (celebrant) is one special girl. All efforts paid off as we saw how happy she was with the outcome :)

Enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed everything in the party :)

That is our centerpiece-I made them myself :) I wrap a burlap cloth around the the recycled jars, put some lace and twines, bought a nice but inexpensive flowers and tada! Actually I wanted this kind of centerpiece (pic below) but the slab of wood didn't make it, I used paper doily instead.

The dessert section (without the desserts yet)  That twigs with flowers are also DIY by yours truly. And that ferris wheel cupcake holder is a star!

Would you believe we made all those paper decors? Spent a lot of nights folding and pasting them :)

The photos from the official photographe are more better but I don't have copies yet, but even with these not official photos. I am over all satisfied with all that labor we did for this event.

Four days after this party, I coordinated and a Christian wedding which I also got good reviews :) not to mention an extra pay..haha! so yes, March is a busy month but it was also blessed.

Even if this month becomes one of our busiest month so far..we are having fun and enjoying..

 Our very dear friends from Florida, USA are here visiting and we've spent the weekend over at their place

 The kids are having fun too!

I love this recent picture of us. This was taken last Sunday in the church, not that we look good but I'd rather say we look happy and contented (though it is blurred..sorry)

And yes we are indeed happy – and our happiness does not mean we are void of problems because like any ordinary people, we do have lots of things to think about-specially on financial issues BUT…(yes it is a big BUT)…the difference I guess is that we have learned to accept the fact that problems will always be there and that you have the option to choose happiness despite of having troubles, knowing that we have GOD who never leave us nor forsake us.

Choose happiness, you won’t regret it.

Davao Trip

My husband and I went to Davao last weekend and even if it was not a pleasure trip, we still had fun and we managed to take some good photos of us. Another set of pictures due for framing :)

Our Sony point and shoot camera is already 5 years old and has been with us in every occasion and trip but still serving us well.

Date with the husband

I am thankful that despite of not having that much, my husband and I still can have at least a fun date  once in a while. I strongly believe that a couple should have time alone specially those who have already children but those who have not should do that too. It doesn't necessarily have to be an expensive date (but if you have the means why not?) If I have money I'll have reservations to 5 star hotel every weekend!! hehehe!

But even if we only had a coffee date, we surely had a good time together!

after that, we decided (more on I persuaded him) to go to Mercato (food market) just to take a look and see if we'll see something that would entice our taste buds. I found nothing but he did, he tried this beef kebab that is being sold for 80.00 per stick. Not bad because it is very filling.

I wanted to try something too but I'm full with my grande coffee already.

We went home happy and satisfied.

Pictures uploaded

Am done uploading one album from our side trip to Singapore after the conference in facebook. I have tons of picture and that's only a part. Internet is so slow (or my PC) whatever :) so I'm stopping now and hope to resume uploading tomorrow night. I still have few December pictures which cousins and friends have been waiting for me to upload but I really do not have the patience now specially when net is this slow.

And me? my day (or night) isn't over yet. I'd have to check these chromium supplements for my plans to go on a diet (again after 5 years) and see if they could be of help.

On Christmas day, we played cards and losers get a line of lipstick on the face :) I am such a loser :(

On Christmas eve, Rachel opened her gift from me and she said WOW!!

And my Nanay as usual the busy bee in preparing the foods, we had halaya, leche flan, arroz valenciana, fruit salad, barbecue, sopas and ham. She made them all :) It was a wonderful Christmas!!

Young and worry free

This girl is turning 8 on the 31st. Last year we had a barbie party for her.She always had a party every year but this year because she's already 8, the celebration will be for us only, the whole family will go swimming this Sunday to celebrate her day and the end of the summer. 

Nope, she is not my child. She is my niece and I love her to bits :)Her greatest love is my mom and I think my mom's greatest love is her also. They are inseparable.

Isn't she cute? I hope she stay that way forever.Young, worry free, loving, and fun. I think those are the reason why all kids are beautiful and cute. They don't need acne cleanser like adults do because they don't worry too much.

Anyways, you can tell she is excited for our swimming party on Sunday and to think it will be her fourth swimming this summer. Kids really enjoy life to the fullest.

Don't you wish you are a kid again sometimes?

Hey! How was your long weekend? I hope it was as good as mine :)

Yup..it was good mainly because I've got to baby sit my nephew Caley in Cogeo for 2 days and I enjoyed it, the last time I saw him was last Christmas and boy he has grown so big and so cute!!

Look at these beautiful highly contagious smile :)



And to say that hubby enjoyed it too is an understatement because he loved it!!

And of course I have my special moment too!
