Coffe break 1.7

This coffee break was supoosed to be written Monday pa, but since I can hardly breath on my loads of work since monday thus the late post. Anyways this week's topic is nice and made me reflect and look back on the happy memories our family had. Again, thanks jan for the coffee break!

"Share with everyone the fondest memory you have of you and your family."

I can't think of one that stand out right now, I am proud to grew up in a close knit family and being the youngest, I grew up with love and care not only from my parents but even from my siblings, but since we are asked to share, let me share you some memories na lang that will always be dear to me.

1. Our Christmas celebrations - This is one big occassion to us, even when we were kids I will always look forward to Christmas, new clothes, new toys hehe! now that we each has his own family na we make sure to go celebrate christmas together and it's such a delight to see all my nieces and nephews gathered around the christmas tree together with thier lolo and lola looking for thier gifts.

2. My eldest sister pamamanhikan - the pamanhikan was instilled forever in my memory, why? because I have never seen my mom cry so hard and so we all cried with her. It's the very first in the family so it was kinda memorable.

3. Weddings - my eldest sister, my only brothere's wedding, my ate Rina's wedding and of course my wedding. but what can be more special than-

4. My parents golden wedding anniversary- They were happy that day, they made a vow again and renewed thier committment to God. We were all happy and we felt so blessed to be able to celebrate that milestone.

5. Birth of all my nieces and nephews - all of them are special to us.

6. Birthdays- there were many birthdays celebration, and we make sure in each big celebration, we are always present.

enjoying timezone

Wala man kaming decent celebration ng aking pinakamamahal na hubby nung anniversary namin, nag enjoy naman kami that day, we ate dinner sa luk yuen and then after that, we played sa timezone, as in super enjoy kami sa pagkuha ng ticket. We were supposed to see a movie pero di namin pareho type ang forbidden kingdom so nag laro na lang kami.

kunwaring bowling...

and that is our price. hehe! very significant ba? blue and yellow-motiff namin nung wedding, 21 of course is the date .

Praying for a cruise?

We didn’t have a decent celebration of our 2nd year wedding anniversary this year, mainly because the date and day that it falls was a Monday and the very first day of Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) in our church where in hubby taught the pre teens class. Another thing is that we are still financially not capable of going out of town at that time as we have already spent for our Ilocos Norte trip last March.

But of course that doesn’t lessen the happiness we felt as we give thanks to God for His 2 years of faithfulness in us. I know someday God will make us celebrate our anniversary in a Christian cruise which we always dreamed of. I can’t imagine me and hubby together with hundreds of believers on a yacht and visiting places that the Apostles Paul has walked on..That would be awesome!

I never knew that there are Christian cruises like this one, Have to share this dream and wish to two of our couple’s friends so we can pray together. And maybe five years or more from now these Christian cruises will be a reality in our married lives. For now, we will keep on praying for the trip to Hongkong and China next year.

smiling

got a text message from hubby around 5 pm..saying he can't pick me up because he was asked to drive to airport to pick up ninong boying's family, coming home for a vacation from a mission trip to Malaysia. I got sad but it's ok because he's our ninong and I'm excited to see them..I didn't reply na but readied my self to go home alone later.

tapos, after 2o minutes or so..he texted again, saying he asked his brother instead so he could still pick me up from the office...siempre I smiled. hehe!

I am so blessed to have such a loving and thoughtful husband. It's very comforting to know that I am (as her wife) his priority.

I was just amazed of the love he could give, not only truly I have never felt so loved and so cared for untill I married him, not even when we are still boyfriend/girlfriend. It's entirely different when we got married talaga. He make sure he's doing what he promised when we exchange vows that day.

And he knows that God is our witness.

hard days are here

Do you know how high has the prices gone up now? Everything that is necessary like rice, meat, bread and poultry has gone up. Hard days are here, and to think this government is claiming that the economy has never been this strong?? Sigh, I hope they all one day go to market and check what your 300.00 pesos can buy now.

But I know it’s not only us who are complaining, my friend who lives in the US is also feeling the same way, of course she sends money here so I guess that explains how she feels about it. So now a day, it’s very wise to compare prices before buying anything. I do that on grocery store. It’s good to know there are sites where you can compare prices. Like localprice.com. I have yet to send this to my friend who as I mentioned is now residing in Georgia, She might save some dollars here, She can actually compare the fees for Atlanta dentists, the rent for Atlanta limos and current prices for Atlanta home security systems here. And maybe even more, be it services or prices or anything she needs in her apartment.

Me, on the other hand has to do it whenever I go to grocery stores, yes it consume time but at least it saves me a lot of money and it’s worth it.

2 years of God's faithfulness

Today, we celebrate two years
Two years of God’s faithfulness
Two years of friendship
Two years of blissful happiness
Two years of waiting for God’s another gift

As we celebrate
We thank our dear God
For giving us each other
For providing for us
For letting us enjoy
The beauty of life together

We thank Him too
For the pains
And tears
And all those struggle
We have to go through

For we know
They only make us stronger
And more closer
With each other

Happy 2nd year anniversary mahal!!

A shopping cart?

I’m curious, how many of you my readers are into online business? Because I know everyone is doing business on the net now. Selling, trading, loan, or even writing papers, printing, banking and what else? In no time we will all be dealing our transactions online. Maybe someday we’ll do our grocery online, or maybe other countries have been doing that. I was just amazed how the internet is changing our lives, before, I only knew shopping cart as the one we used in grocery store, we have it now in the internet.

And if you’re not yet decided what ecommerce software to use when you put up an online store visit Ashop Commerce and look at what they can offer.click here for a free trial. We can never tell, maybe I'll be one of your first customers soon or maybe it's the other way around, who knows you'll be my first customer if ever right? I actually want an online toystore, me and my friends put up one last last year but we failed maybe because we need more experience and yes maybe we need to buy an ecommerce software.

I hope it doesn't hurt like this

Good news – my friend who recently got married last March 1 is now pregnant!! Her husband told us last night. We couldn’t be happier for them. I guess everyone they knew would be happy and excited for them. It’s quite sad because Jerl is now back in Georgia and her hubby is still here, so we are praying for his papers and visa so he could be with his wife anytime soon. I can imagine how hard it is to conceive and “lihi” without your partner beside you.

The bad news – As I have said me and hubby couldn’t be happier for them, they are special to us, so special that we are the first to know among their friends I think even with their own set of parents. So we’re genuinely happy for them. But then hearing the good news brought us some pain also. I immediately asked the question “why not me?” And I guess they heard me even without asking it aloud..because they said “don’t worry, you’ll be the next”.

I hope it doesn’t hurt like this..and it hurts even more when you realize that it also is hurting your hubby. Last night when we are left alone in the room, hubby said “it’s all my fault” ..”I’m not a faithful servant kasi”..”I’m not praying kasi” . I wish I could say the right words but I am speechless too, though I know in my heart that he is not to blame, no one is to blame. I JUST held his hands and whispered..”it’s alright” but inside of me I knew..IT IS NOT.

Am I responsible?

I have heard that having more than two credit cards can give you a headache. I should have listened. I should have declined those credit card offers. Now I admit I have headaches on how to get rid of those cards. I actually called up one of the credit card company and told them I want to cancel the card they issued but they want me to pay in full all the outstanding balance. That is why I am working hard, I am trying to save on anything and anyway I can so I can pay up. Although being debt free is still a dream come true to me I am hopeful and positive that I can achieve it.

I am looking into the option of acquiring a loan with much much lower interest than those of the credit cards. I realized now how big the 3.5 percent is, good thing I only have small credit limits. I have a good friend who has higher credit limit and is paying a lot of interest in top of it.

I wish our company would offer payday loans that have no interest at all or cash advance so I can make a full payment to my credit card. Or would anyone of you know such company? As long as the interest is lower than those of the credit cards I think it is okay. If only my problem is having enough funds from payday to payday, then that wouldn’t be so much of a headache. I know there are companies who offer online payday loans. Isn’t that great? When you run out of money and payday is still weeks away, you can just log on to their site and apply for a cash advance. I hope they are available here, but still acquiring such would still be the cause of your headache specially when you are not responsible. So I guess it all ends up on being responsible whether it is a loan or a credit card.

Kid’s Question #1 If you were the ruler of the world and you could have anything you wanted as well as have people do anything you wanted, do you think you would get greedy and mean or would you be a good and fair ruler?

> Ruler of the world? Okay, It’s kinda hard to comprehend but I will try to answer it. If I am the ruler of the world and I could have anything I wanted..I guess all will be happy, I hope to be a good and fair ruler. I will be needing a lot of guidance and prayers. It’s hard when you’re on the top and decisions lies on your hands..but still I’m quite confident I won’t be mean and greedy with the help of God of course.

coffee break ver. 1.5

How committed are you to health and fitness?

Hay, I failed so miserably in this aspect of life and of course I only have myself to blame. Last year, hubby encouraged me to move more so we walked every morning around neighboorhood but we stopped for no reason at all, at the last part of the year, me and my friend enrolled in a gym but after a month we also stopped, my reason? I am tired na...

But it has been my ambition to live a healthy lifestyle, There are some changes that I have succesfully made like switching from ordinary oil to canola or soya oil, I heard kasi that is more healthy eh, we also got rid of unhealthy fats in our foods. But still I know I need a regular exercise.

But yeah, I should really committ my self into it, not just want it.

Thanks jan for the reminder!

All things are possible

It was a busy monday for me.I would like to say sorry to all the tags sender, much as I want to do them today but I have no time, but of course I will still be doing them tonight, will bring them home as my assignment and if our internet connection at home is ok na i'll be posting them also tonight if not tommorrow na lang. It's a busy monday but a great one.. Finally, the new printer arrived today, much better and faster than my old one. It's been a week since that old printer gave up and I'm thankful I have this new one now. And one thing more, I got a new bag from my other boss, a pasalubong. he just came from the states kasi.

Lam nyo, I was greatly inspired by the message yesterday sa church service. And while we were singing “All things are possible” I was holding my tummy and crying, I was telling God na..oo nga Lord, nothing is impossible for you..that only you can open and close a women’s womb. Tapos after the service, I asked hubby if he got the same message and he said yes. I’m so sure God van give us a child in His own perfect time.

I am not losing hope..in fact I just gained more yesterday.

Are you a shopaholic?

Do you like to shop? Do you do it as your hobby? Yes, I think you can if you’re super rich. I heard some celebrities do make it their past time. How I wish I could do it to but right now I am not in a very good condition so I seldom go shopping as a matter of fact I only go to grocery or to the mall when I really have to buy something that I need.

And I am always always on the look out for sale because I know I can save a lot from it. One good buy I got from shopping during sales season was my wedding shoes. It was originally price at more than a thousand peso but I got it for only 300 pesos, so you see I saved more than 700 hundred pesos. That’s why I love every kind of sales, week end sale, closing sale, inventory sale, clearance sale and many more.

And if you’re looking around for savings on shopping even when you’re sitting right there in front of your computer you can do so. cyber monday is the site to visit, here you can see a lot of discounted items and a lot of good deals. Like for instance, Jo-ann.com offers free shipping for $35 and above purchase. That’s nice.

Cyber Monday has a wide collection of stores and stuff to choose from. So if you don’t wanna end up cramming for your holiday shopping come December why not start doing it now? I had a hard time last year so I hope I won't do it again this year. I ended up giving gifts after Christmas..me bad, but of course it's better late than never. This time though I am gonna shop early and that means I have to save and save so I can start buying gifts before the holiday rush.

another wedding memory

Siobhan, Karin and Rosie are from England, they are youth missionaries and were here in Manila during our wedding, they made our wedding even more memorable. It's funny because our wedding was in pure tagalog (we had filipiniana as our theme) and I know they barely understood the ceremony and all but they were crying too..they said after a while that it's a very beautiful wedding and that they felt the love and the presence of the Lord in the air. It was kinda unforgettable for them too because it was thier first time to witness a filipino wedding and these girls were responsible too for my bridal shower that was so fuuunnn!!! I love you guys and we miss you so much.

Karin is coming over next month for Carmel's wedding too.

project Runway

Last night I chanced upon “project runway” at ETC, it’s a reality show, I believe the contestants are amateur fashion designers but they are good. “Christian” a 21 year old designer won the last challenge last night and I so agree with the judges, his creation is a piece of art.

I really am not into fashion, but watching the show, you can’t help but be amazed on how these people create something so beautiful out of their imagination. I wonder if they really are graduates of fashion schools or is it just a plain talent.

Fashion careers are so in today, actually my boss daughter is taking up one now. I don’t know if it’s an expensive course because I notice that most of the students who took fashion as their profession are rich kids or maybe I am wrong.

I am just wondering though, Do we have enough fashion jobs in the country today? I guess fashion schools are not as popular as cooking schools here or maybe I was wrong.

A worship experience with Tim Hughes

Hubby and I went to Tim Hughes (Worship central) last Friday. It was held at the very very new “The Tent" at Meralco Avenue,Pasig City. They were the first to use the place actually.

We registered the whole worship team pero sad na kami lang ni hubby ang nakapunta, I said, sayang if he will not go, this happen only once in a lifetime and to top it all free admission pa.

Know what he said after the concert? “good thing I decided to go. It’s worth it.” He was so blessed and encouraged, when the team called all the worship leaders so they can pray for them, hubby went immediately.

As much as we wanted to attend the worship conference the following day (Saturday, April 5) we couldn’t because of our church scheduled water baptism. Sayang talaga. I know he’ll get a lot of inputs there as worship leader. Anyway, we’re hoping there would be more worship conference coming and sana next time the rest of the worship team can go with us.

I love you Ryan

Ryan,

You’re so big na..11 years ago, we were all so excited to see you, to cuddle you in our arms, I still remember how nervous your lolo and lola were while your mom was still in labor and how I cried and prayed hard sa likod ng house nila Tita Michelle while you’re mom was screaming in pain…I can still remember how excited your Mama Weng was to go home from Manila to Cabanatuan just to see you agad.

And though it was not easy bringing you out here in this world, as we all know your Mom risked her life and we all thought we will lose her..I know she’ll say it’s worth it. It’s worth all the pain because look at you..you’re so big now, you’re now 11 years old and you grew up to be a very good boy.

Of course not perfect because nobody is perfect but still you’re exceptional, I am so blessed when I see you hunger for the word of God even at your young age, and I am blessed even more to hear your passion to serve HIM now and when you grow old.

Anak, I want you to know that I love you so much, much as I want to protect you from all the pain realities of life but I can’t. I can only pray na sana all those troubles your mom and dad has will shape you to be a fine young man someday. And all those hardships will cause you to be the best that you can be.

How time flies, parang kalian lang, we were buying you all the Jollibee and Mcdonald toys, now, you’re asking for real musical instrument na. I wish for you na you’ll be able to use whatever talents you’ve got to glorify our Lord.

Happy Birthday Ryan, I will always be here for you no matter what. I will always love you the way I do when I first saw you and held you in my arms 11 years ago.

You’re one of God’s precious gifts to us.

God bless you anak!

Love,

Tita Raquel

PS.

remembering our wedding day

That's a copy of our invitation, the chocolate lollipops were given to us as a gift and were given to guests as well, my friends who made it actually tried to imitate our logo which was a cross in the middle of two R,which indicated me and my hubby and the Lord in the center. I know it doesn't excatly look the same though :) but still I appreciated thier effort. as in.

This is the logo in the backdrop, made by hubby of course..he's so payat pa jan, pero now he's as big as me na yata..and let me say..he's more pogi now.naks! galing ko nga daw mag-alaga.hehe!
