Rest house

This is the house we stayed in at Mariveles, Bataan. Simple and quiet. I so love the place and the furniture. I wish someday I'll have one like this and of course I hope it's beside the mountain and near the beach. perfect location!
the stairs going to the mezzanine and bedroom

The dining table..I love it!

and this is so nice..in front of the house

everyone love to sit here!
and most of all..the rooftop, from here you'll see the ocean and the mountain
that's my husband probably composing a song :)

Now, i think i should stop dreaming about the house I want and start reading about inogen oxygen concentrator.

Good night everyone!!!

Love story

Four years and three months of being married.

Three mission trips abroad.
7 trips to different beach..

Numerous fights, several disagreements.

Thousand wonderful times of togetherness

We are blessed.

And though our love story was not as grand as others and thankfully not a romeo y julieta type of story, I know in my heart God has written a beautiful story for US.

We are just starting and the best is yet to come.

I see more mission trips together and maybe a pleasure trip once in a while.

I see more trials to overcome, more learning to do.

We welcome each page with our hands held together in prayer.

School dilemma

I’ve been scouting and calling universities since last week. My two nephews who are staying with me are taking admission tests for some good universities but I didn’t imagine that it is quite that hard. You see, theirs is a special case because they are taking ALS (Alternative Learning System) from DepEd and apparently, the universities we inquired needs to see the result of the exam first. Result will be on February 2011, by then, admission test from the school they want is over. How I wish I could convince them to just go to any school like a medical assistant school or a small private school that is not so strict in admission then transfer to the university they want next school year.

But of course, we are still hoping they can at least take the admission test this October.

And I do hope they'll pass the ALS test too.

Laptop I want

It's been my ultimate wish list last year, but because we moved house I let it go, this year I had the chance of buying the cheapest available that is alright with my specifications but again I had to prioritize other things and I don't regret because this year I traded that "want" for a mission trip to Malaysia and really i do not regret it.

But still, am dreaming I would have one with laptop insurance someday, and I hope that someday is this December or early next year.

A laptop and an itouch for hubby-perfect gifts for ourselves. I know I deserve it, I've been working hard for ages now and I haven't buy anything big to myself. So looking forward to it.

Instant Vacation

Hello everyone!!

Rudolf and I had an instant vacation for three days :) Well, not actually pure vacation because it was a ministry trip but we enjoyed it so much we wanted to call it a vacation :). We were in Mariveles, Bataan and just got back yesterday. The place is so quiet and calm, so different from the busy Metro Manila and I thought I just needed that break from everything I am doing here. Life there is laid back, no internet which is good! so my husband and I had all the time to talk and discuss some important matters. The only regret I had was I wasn't able to bring any books with me (except for the bible). The place is so conducive to reading.

I will try to upload pictures in facebook tomorrow but I'm leaving you with this to give you a preview :)

Marriage counseling

Last night I stayed up late with a friend I am helping with the wedding preparation and I somewhat ended up “counseling” her about marriage life. Well, most of the things I said were also from the counseling sessions we had before our wedding and of course most are from personal experience such as how important it is to spend quality time together.

Which made me wonder, is being married for four years enough for me to be able to counsel and have a say about married life? I guess no because even if it’s been four years, I can still feel we are just starting and that we are still on the process of learning about married life.

Well, as I have said, I ended up “counseling” her and from the looks of it I thinks she learned something from the conversation and hopefully I imparted some good points about getting married and all.

For my married readers, how long have you been married? Do you find yourself sometimes counseling others who are getting married or those who are newlyweds?

Did you have counseling sessions too before getting married? Wanna share some tips for those who are getting married?

Hair cut this weekend

I should have had my hair cut last week. My hair needs it badly. I have lots of hair issues. I even noticed yesterday that I already have many gray hairs (gosh!!) and yes I was shocked. Plus the never ending hair fall, good thing I am using a somewhat hair growth shampoo and conditioner and I think it even helps with my dry scalp.

I was looking at an old photo the other day and I am thinking of getting the same hair style and hair length. It looks good on me two years ago and I hope it will still look good on me today.

I will definitely have my hair cut this weekend.

My blog is up finally!!

I can now breathe..hehe

It was down for 3 or 4 days I guess and you can say I was worried. I had a problem with google check out because they only accept credit cards or debit cards which I don't have (I already canceled all my credit cards) I forgot that my domain name will renewed automatically and all their emails and notifications went straight to my spam folder which I rarely checked.

Well, at least it is settled now and yes my blog is already up and running!

back to business :)

Project: Closet Space

Do you need closet space? I do. I am tired of seeing our closet that looks like junk and I know to organize it I will surely need powers and extra strength. Hope I can do it this weekend. Anyways, I searched the internet to look for some closet saving tips and here's what I've found. (tips from containerstore.com)

1. 2 Year Rule- I have clothes I have not wear for more than 2 years now so I guess I have to let go of my sentimental side and just let it go. I need that space.

2. Get rid of anything that doesn't belong there in your closet - That I have to check because I think everything that's in there at the moment belongs there but I'll see this weekend.

3. Remove empty hangers from the closet rod - :) Guess what? half of our closet rod contains empty hangers.

4. Utilize the back of a closet door to store shoes, belts, jewelry and other accessories.- I already did that.

It's a big work for me who is not so homebody but nobody will do it except me. At least I won't be needing hydroxycut or any diet pills because I'll surely lose some pounds there.

happy Organizing to me!

Blog and pregnancy issues

Wow! It's been 5 days since my last post. Looks like I've neglected the blog huh? but of course not. It's just that I do not have anything special to write about. Well, I did some short but very personal posts in my other blog and you might want to check it sometime.

But since this was our wedding blog, I refrain from posting such personal feelings that only includes my emotion. As much as possible, all I want to write here are about weddings, marital issues, household topics, health, our journey to pregnancy and the like.

Oh..I guess I should have not mentioned pregnancy, because I admit. I'm at the end already. I'm losing hope that I would still be able to get pregnant and that HURTS me MOST. I'm 36, I'm fat, I'm Polycystic which means a lot of hormonal imbalance, and lastly we are not under any treatment right now. So why expect and hope right? I guess not hoping and expecting would somehow ease the burden.

Other than that. I'm fine. We are fine.

Nasi Goreng with Pinoy twist

Nasi goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" in Indonesian and Malay, can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice, a meal including fried rice accompanied with other items, or a more complicated fried rice, typically spiced with tamarind and chilli and including other ingredients, particularly egg and prawns. (wikipedia)

We finally ventured into a a home base food business. And as will see in the pictures below, it is somewhat "rice in a bowl" type of food, our difference only is that we serve Nasi Goreng with special nasi goreng flavorings from Malaysia. We added some pinoy twist though by topping it with all time favorite pinoy food such as adobo, porkchop and fried chicken.

We are just starting and it's a good start. I feel we can go a long way with this business. Food is a necessity and with our super affordable price.I know we can make it!!

Nasi Goreng with Fried Chicken
Nasi Goreng with Longganisang Vigan
