SIGH...

I am not just stress..it's more than that. I know. Do I only make things sound complicated or is it because of my hormones (PCOS) to blame?

I don't even know what to think or I don't want to think anything right at this moment.

Honestly, the work is draining me up or it may not be the work. I don't want to say the word.

I need to go..I need to let go of this or else I'll be sick for the rest of my life.

Should I buy shoes online?

Just so I will not have to walk and walk and get tired.

Last Saturday, I tried to shop for a new pair of shoes or sandals. I needed one already. I don’t buy shoes unless I really need them, the one I am using everyday to office has given up on me and so it needs replacement.

I spent almost two hours at the mall trying to look for that best pair, well best means it is not expensive, it is good to look at and most of all it should be comfortable. You may guess I was not able to buy one.

And the sad thing is the money I have allocated for that new pair is also gone. If only I am an expert in buying things online then I would not have to bother to go to the malls and walk an hour just to find one. I am actually trying to learn tips and what nots when buying online, here's a shoes buying guide from shopwiki.com. I am sure you'll learn something from this also.

Rachel's barbie party!

I am the official event planner of the family and I am a happy one. We don’t hold super grand occasions because obviously we can not afford one but we do hold parties for the kids from time to time. My eldest sister made it so sure that her children will have parties in every birthday until they reach 7.

So last May 31, we celebrated Rachel’s 7th birthday. She chose her birthday theme which was Barbie. She loves Barbie, she has been waiting for this since last year.

The look on her face when she saw her Barbie cake is priceless!! Here’s the picture of the cake I ordered from Kitchen Krafts. It’s so beautiful!

Sad that the rain spoiled her party, my sister made a mistake of not booking of the place where she usually held her kid’s birthdays, so she opted to do it just outside the Barangay hall with tents. It’s been raining that week and it rained even harder that day.

Nevertheless, the kids had fun with their Barbie prizes, the Barbie loot bags with everything Barbie inside.

The adult had a blast with the dishes my mom prepared, She's a great cook! and what more? we had lechon :) a favorite of the family so you bet we all need fat burner from my dad down to my eldest sister and her kids!

Kudos to the birthday planner! Hehe :D and that’s me!

More tips on how to have a beautiful barbie party here.

Cheapest Flight to Singapore

I am keeping my fingers crossed. We are visiting Singapore next year.So as early as now I am trying to look for the cheapest flight. Cebu Pacific goes on sale from time to time so I'm checking it always. This morning I saw from a newspaper that Jetstar is also on sale. here's what I saw on the website.

Manila to Singapore - $80 RETURN FLIGHT - $0 or in other words FREE!! but of course there is the terms and conditions ;

*JetSaver Light fares have no checked baggage allowance. Carry on baggage limits, including size restrictions, will be strictly applied. Passengers with more than the applicable carry on baggage allowance will need to check in baggage, and charges will apply. More details on cabin baggage

Of course you can also choose a JetSaver fare for just $15 more - with the full 20kg checked baggage allowance.

Terms and Conditions

* Sale starts on 8 Jun and ends on 16 Jun 2009 and travel between 1 July - 31 Oct 2009 only.
* Depart Fares quoted are on one way basis and include airport taxes
* ^$0 Return Fares quoted do not include airport taxes of RM68, USD20, TWD631, and THB669 which are payable for the respective cities.
* Seats are subjected to availability and fares may not be available for peak periods and public holiday.
* A service fee (per person per sector) is applicable for booking through Call Centre and travel agents.
* Applicable to Jetstar (3K) and Valuair (VF) flights arriving into Singapore.
* Fares are non-refundable. Limited changes are permitted, charges apply.
* Terms and conditions are subjected to changes without prior notice.

I think Cebu Pacific will still be cheaper as long as I can book while they are on sale. Like what we did for our Macau trip last year which we only paid Php450.00 one way. Very good deal! Of course travel medical insurance is not included, but still that was best deal ever.

I hope Cebu Pacific goes all out sale again before the year ends.

PCOS and diet pills

I do not know what the best diet pills are available in the market. I am not an expert and have not been using one for ages. Will I use one? well, maybe when I already have kids but not at this time that we are trying to conceive. The OB said it might not be of help. The best for me is to lose weight on a natural way, exercise and eat the right amount of food.

I know I am still overweight at the moment, in fact I think I am not losing weight but gaining still. This is a big issue for me specially that I have PCOS. I tell you it' so hard for me to lose those pounds. I lessened my rice intake and yet nothing happened.

Still..resorting to diet pills is not an option for me.

Randomness

hello! how's your weekend guys? I had no post over the weekend because we have no internet connection at home which is very very sad. So I guess I have to make blogging in between my office work & time again ( sorry boss!)

anyways, my cousin, a friend and I were talking over yahoo messenger a while ago and guess what we are talking about? BUSINESS
yes, everyone of us wants to venture into business, only we do not know what business and where to get the money for business..So we are literally dreaming on a broad daylight. :)

But then, there's no wrong in dreaming, as long as you try to do your best to reach your dream. Seriously, I want to have a small business and be my own boss someday.

hey! I forgot to blog about this..I had my hair cut two weeks ago and I'm lovin it! I've been wanting a new hairstyle for ages and so glad I have it now. The hairdresser took half of my hair but it's okay, have no more hair falls and it's easier to manage now. So I don't have to use hair loss products anymore, I was worried before because I have so many falling hair, thought I might end up to hair loss treatment but it seems ok now.

And also..I am so looking forward for this long weekend!! I love holidays!!! hehe :) Although we don't have plans yet but just the thought of not having to wake up early is pure bliss to me :)Maybe we can go to Antipolo and visit my cousin and stay there for the weekend.

gotta go now..will blog again later!

Travel Plans

This year has been good so far for me and hubby in terms of travels.

As you all know (well, those who regularly read my blog) that we had our first out of the country trip last February. We went to Macau & Hongkong for a conference and ministry work but of course we did some pasyal too.

I don't see anymore out of the country trip this year (if only we are rich then why not?) but since we have to save for another trip we are planning it next year. My cousin who is a resident of Singapore now is inviting us and I hope this will push through next year. Would like to grab that opportunity because the trip would be less expensive since we will be staying in their place. I heard hotel and hostels in Singapore are quite expensive. Only if there is something like Outer Banks rentals there. That's gonna be one premium vacation for us.

However, that doesn't mean we have no remaining travel plans this year because as early as now we are already booked to ;

Cebu - September 11 to 14
Palawan - December 29- No return ticket yet

Thank you to those airlines who made traveling a little easier on the pocket :)

I still want to go to Boracay this year but that is still on hold unless I can grab another cheap ticket and get an affordable rooms there. Never been to Boracay kasi.

I say we are still blessed. Despite the economic crisis, despite the financial crisis our church is having right now, God is still and will always be so good to us.

Wednesday Happy Thoughts

yes, it's already Thursday (I was supposed to do the Thankful Thursday Post in my other blog) but I was led to post about this weekly meme (my first). It is always nice to think of happy thoughts and isn't it nicer to write it down and share it to the blogging world? So today I would like to think only of happy thoughts. Want to forget stress and problems.

1. The availability of internet
2. Hubby's chicken adobo last night
3. Jabez' hugs ( a 6 y/o kid from the church)
4. Facebook
5. Payu2blog assignments
6. Computer at home working again
7. Foods from sis' house :)
8. a good night sleep
9. no flooding despite of the consecutive rains
10. hubby's hugs & kisses :)

ma huang?

Honestly, I have never heard of ma huang before and knew nothing about it. I didn’t even know that it is some kind of a diet pill. Thank God for the availability of internet. So I googled it and found these medical facts about ma huang.

Other names : sea ephedrine, ephedra, ephedra alkaloids, sea grape, yellow horse, yellow astringent, joint fir, squaw tea, Mormon tea, popotillo, and teamster's tea.

According to www.drugs.com :

“Because ma huang (ephedra) has been reported to cause serious, even fatal, side effects such as heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeats, and sudden death, the FDA has recommended that consumers not take ma huang.

The use of ma huang in cultural and traditional settings may differ from concepts accepted by current Western medicine. When considering the use of herbal supplements, consultation with a primary health care professional is advisable. Additionally, consultation with a practitioner trained in the uses of herbal/health supplements may be beneficial, and coordination of treatment among all health care providers involved may be advantageous.

I guess we should all take pre cautions specially in taking diet pills or weight loss supplements. It always pays to be informed.

45 lessons life taught me

This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!! Make sure you read to the end!!!!!!

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one
is up to you and no one else

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come...

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

It's so nice no? If you have an attitude and you view life like that, i don't think you'll be needing appetite suppressants to lose weight because basically you'll be happy with what you have.

ENJOY LIFE!!!

Offline and t-shirts coming!

If you notice I had no online activity yesterday, didn't logged in to yahoo messenger, to entrecard, to blogger and to face book meaning I am totally off to internet world. Why? I was absent from work because of an upset stomach. Still no internet connection at home and even if we have I don't think I could go online because I slept the whole day.

So I think I have to make up for today.

Should I say I miss my farm in farmtown? hehe!

But of course there is no time to play at work. That's a big NO. Anyways, I'll have plenty of time at home this week because I have no more birthdays and weddings to come!!

Hubs and I will try to do some designs for t-shirts and I'll see if we can make
personalized tote bags as well.

The t-shirts projects has been long overdue and I want to really push through with it now. He'll be on leave next week and I guess that's the right time to do it.

So I guess, you have to wait for our upcoming t-shirts designs and I hope you would wnat to buy one for your self too.

Magic Millions Annual Sale

I’m jealous.

A friend of mine is going to Australia for an all expense paid business trip. Who wouldn’t be jealous of that right?

But then, it is the nature of business they are engaged to. They are into horses and they are going to Australia for the annual magic millions sale. For sure she’ll be having side trips too but most of her time will be devoted to assisting her bosses in choosing and bidding of the horses. I wonder if they will buy some riding stuff like breeches.

Well, I’m sure she’s going to enjoy that trip.

Good morning everyone!

As usual I had a very busy weekend so I did not have time to blog and to visit blogs as well. I attended a womens' retreat last Friday and Saturday.I'll do a separate post about it in our ministry blog.

And last Sunday was my niece's 7th birthday. It was super raining so the kids did not really enjoyed the party because we only have 2 tents. But the birthday girl is happy specially with her barbie cake. I'll post pictures later.

For the meantime, I have to list down again stuff that I should blog just so I can't forget.

1. Grace & Freddy's wedding ( a fusion of Filipino & Indonesian wedding traditions)

2. Rachel's 7th birthday

3. Womens retreat

4. And a review of 4 more resorts I've been to this summer. (yes I so enjoyed this summer!)

This week we're back to serious house hunting (to rent that is). This has been long overdue. We were supposed to move out this month and yet we don't have a place until now. A simple house will do as long as it fits our budget and the place is nice. We don't need a glass tile house or mansion like house. I hope we can find one soon.

So there, got to go now. See you all in your blogs later!
