Rapha's 1st birthday photoshoot

These photos were taken before Rapha's 1st birthday, I think this was taken December of 2019. Of course he is much bigger now. He is after all 25 months old.

I have a toddler now :)

I really regret not blogging the past years. For now, I will be posting old photos and milestone of my son just so I have something to look back and read or maybe even show him someday :)

My husband and I did the styling here, Camille took the photos :) venue was from a nearby park. I am so grateful we were able to do this just before Covid came into the scene.

Rapha at 2 months

Why you grow so fast my son? This photo was taken last Mach 26 for his 2nd month birthday celebration.

Looking at the internet, I'm amazed and somehow jealous how some parents can be creative for the monthly photos of their kids. While us? oh well, let's just say we're satisfied and happy of his photos so far. Maybe not instagram worthy but worthy of all our love :D Let's see how big he'll be on his 3rd month.

Mother's 78th Birthday :)

Hi everyone! I just thought of updating my blog today and what a better way to update than to post these beautiful photos of our family taken last October 8, 2017.

My Nanay was tearfully happy :) I hope that even if her mind/logic is not properly functioning anymore (due to that very tragic accident) she still feels the same love or even more from us, her children.

It was a simple celebration in a not so fancy eat all you can restaurant but the memories we made are priceless!

the three daughters :)

we look so happy right? because we are indeed happy. Recovering well :)

First time

In the Emergency Room of Makati Medical Center. Thankfully, it is not that bad. I was discharged 4 hours later.

It happened last Saturday, February 11. Severe headache and nausea. I can't even get up from the bed that morning, I was scared I might fall if I tried to do so. Sad thing is, I was alone in the house with my toddler nephew. Praise God for mobile internet and facebook messenger. I was able to send messages and it reached my husband. He came home rushing and we immediately went to the ER.

Also, I am praising God of our emergency card (provided by our office) it was a BIG help. I paid nothing. Thank you Lord talaga.

Now, the verdict is "Migraine Headache". I was advised by the doctor to rest for a few days and then to consult with Neurologist. I didn't know migraine can be that bad.

My husband took this picture and posted it on Facebook with  a caption " This is our date" :)

He was probably thinking we  did not go out for a dinner on my birthday which was last February 8 and Valentines day is coming also :) so yes, that was a date for him.

But wait, just today, we had lunch together at our favorite neighbor restaurant. It was a quick lunch but I considered it a date (at least not in the hospital bed)

Here we are celebrating life and love after that scary trip to ER.

Now this photo is a lot better di ba?

Hope you are all feeling better my friends! Take care and belated happy hearts day!

Happiest birthday mahal! know that you are loved unconditionally by our Father and that He delights in you. You deserve this birthday gift and blessing because you have a very good heart. Excited

~*~*~*~*~

We have been planning (dreaming/wishing) of getting our own vehicle since time immemorial..hehe, we were actually looking at second hand cars but God has other plans for us, He did not only give us a second hand but a brand new one and what's exciting is that -  it is not a liability in our part but an income generating as well. We are now part of Uber family :D Now he's ready to save for his music studio, maybe this pod xt live is next on his list.

Thank you Lord for your birthday gift to my husband!

A masquerade party

The stage backdrop, we made the picket fence :) I wanted to paint it white but the debutant's mother want it in black.
These are the big mask we used in the stage
I also made these for the centerpiece
I added that mask on a stick to the simple centerpiece provided by the caterer
the birthday  girl  in the grand staircase!

I enjoyed putting this party together with the help of my ever supportive husband of course, he was in charge with the music and sound system (as always). Unfortunately the venue's sound system is a disappointment for him. It would have been great if we contracted a live band  (that would excite my husband!) you know how music excites him. Even this woodwind and brass instruments from WWBW.com will surely delight him.

Anyways, what matter is that the birthday celebrant, her family and their guests enjoyed the evening.

Happenings

February will soon be over and I only have two posts, but of course that does not mean nothing is going on in my life :) In fact, it is because I only have little time in front of the PC to do personal stuff such as blogging. Anyways, here are some of the happenings this month.

My birthday!!

We had a simple celebration with the family of my Pastor who happen to have the same birthday with me. We went to a campsite in Batangas and spent the one 2 days/1 night  there. It was such a refreshing time and my husband enjoyed the trees and the peaceful surroundings.

Couples Night

My husband was invited to sing a few songs in a Valentine event of another church, I was invited too :) whether they like it or not! hahaha!. It was such a lovely evening. They had a game wherein we were asked to write a note for each other. We had fun!

My love note for him :)

Tagaytay Wedding

Hetty and Toph got married last February 18-  You can view some of the pictures in my recent blog post. http://www.godsbestgift.com/2016/02/love-is-in-air.html
The husband was asked to sing again and it was very special because he was asked to sing his very own song (original composition) we learned that it was one of the couple's favorite worship song :)

 Another wedding coming up!

This Sunday, we will have another out of town wedding to attend to, I'll be one of the Principal Sponsor and my husband's band is singing again :) We are honored and humbled by all the invitations.

It was a busy month for me both work and personal, I just hope I can go back to regular posting soon. I miss blog hopping!

Thankful

Last October 10, we celebrated Nanay's 76th birthday. We went home to be with her, we did not have any grand celebration like what we had last year but it's still meaningful. What matters most to me is that we got to spend time with her, letting her know that she is loved by us.

She said days before her birthday she dream of my Tatay, in her dream, he was asking her to come with him and stroll somewhere, glad she didn't go :(

When Tatay was still with us, he would always remind us of Nanay's birthday and will often ask us of what are we going to prepare for that day. No doubt, he loved Nanay, 56 years of marriage, it was only death that separated them.

I just hope, we made Nanay happy even if we did not do anything special on her birthday, we were just there together with some relatives and her closest friends and yes it was such a happy time.

I love you so much Nanay, I am so glad you have reached 76 and am looking forward to more happy birthdays to come. May your prayers be granted.

Her special prayer is that she be given more years, for her to see her grand kids graduate in college. My eldest nephew is graduating in 2018. I'm sure she'll be there to celebrate with all of us.

'Tis the SEASON :)

Oh hello September :) hello "BER" months.

I can sense everyone's excitement with the arrival of the ber months, as you know this signifies the beginning of Christmas season, yes Christmas season here in my part of the world, yesterday I heard some radio stations airing Christmas songs and on the evening news are people buying Christmas decors as early as now.

I am excited for that season too. BUT before that, husband's birthday comes first-he'll turn 34 on the 14th of this this month. I have no plans yet on how are we going to celebrate, I'll see what I can do or  come up to on the day itself  :)  I am such a very good wife..hahaha!

I just  hope September will be better. Not only for me but also for all of you.

Blessings everyone!

Happy Monday!

Starting the day right. It’s Monday, new day of the week and it is but right to start happy and positive
I need to do this or else I’ll be overwhelmed with work in the office and it would be easy to get depressed and tired which I don’t like at all.

Anyways, this week starts a new challenge in terms of work. I just hope and pray I will be able to deliver of what is expected of me.

My weekend was spent with the husband and my side of the family, this not so little girl anymore celebrated her 13th birthday last Sunday and she had her first Starbucks coffee too. I just want her to experience it because that coffee is too expensive for us (we are not rich that’s why). She’s happy that at least she was able to try it.

Speaking of my family side, my Mom is here again in the city with us and just three days after her arrival, she is asking me again when I will bring her home in the province. She is really not comfortable here and much as we want to we can’t let her be alone in that old house of ours.  First, the house needs complete renovation, the roof is leaking, and some of the wood pillars and flooring upstairs are not safe anymore because of termites. I have long been praying and hoping that we’ll be able to do the renovation soon so Mom can see it, for sure she’ll be happy about it.

Anyways, searching for pest control brought me here, and because I am not in the US maybe those who read my blog from there can benefit, check this  Orlando critter control they specialized in nuisance animal removal . Cool no? here in my part of the world, you only hire pest control and that’s it, if it’s  wild animals I don’t know, in the province some people will just get it and make it their pet. Dead animal removal, pest animal damage repair, they can do it all.

Ok, going back, pest control is not an option for our old family house anymore. Renovation is the solution and MIRACLE because where will we get the money for that?

Maybe, if I work and work and work and work even more.  Hopefully, a blessing will come and my dream of renovating it for my Mother’s comfort will become a reality.

Well, this has been a long post. Thank you for at least getting this far.  Happy Monday everyone and enjoy the rest of the week!

18th Birthday photos

The preparation for this birthday celebration took me a lot of time because Mharu (celebrant) is one special girl. All efforts paid off as we saw how happy she was with the outcome :)

Enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed everything in the party :)

That is our centerpiece-I made them myself :) I wrap a burlap cloth around the the recycled jars, put some lace and twines, bought a nice but inexpensive flowers and tada! Actually I wanted this kind of centerpiece (pic below) but the slab of wood didn't make it, I used paper doily instead.
Our guest table
The dessert section (without the desserts yet)  That twigs with flowers are also DIY by yours truly. And that ferris wheel cupcake holder is a star!

Would you believe we made all those paper decors? Spent a lot of nights folding and pasting them :)
The celebrant in the middle with her friends
part of the 18 roses
part of the 18 candles
The venue
The photos from the official photographe are more better but I don't have copies yet, but even with these not official photos. I am over all satisfied with all that labor we did for this event.

Four days after this party, I coordinated and a Christian wedding which I also got good reviews :) not to mention an extra pay..haha! so yes, March is a busy month but it was also blessed.
