Scary prank call

Have you ever experienced receiving annoying phone calls from strangers? I remember one scary experience I had was a phone call from someone obviously I do not know, it was nearing midnight and I guess I was the only one awake at that time, the phone rang and though I’m quite apprehensive to pick it up I did somehow and whoaahh..I was like so scared because the voice on the other line made some scary sounds and didn’t speak at all. How cruel. So sad that we don’t have yet caller ID at that time.

Now this one is another online wonders for me. Don’t you know you can identified those prank callers at the Caller Identifier site. Basically, you just give them the number that registered on your phone and they’ll identify it for you. No more unwanted and unsolicited phone calls for you now.

How I wish it’s available here now.

No work tommorrow!!!

And I couldn’t be happier..hehe! and though have many things to do online and at home and looks like another rest day is quite impossible, it is still another day “off from work” to look forward to.

If our original plans pushes through, I’m off to Pansol, Laguna tonight for our music ministry team prayer retreat, I actually am wishing for that to push through because I need a change of environment and even if it’s one day lang I’ll very much appreciate that.

And if not, well, I’m going to finish all tasks tomorrow and do another general cleaning at home, probably the bedroom this time.

Let’s see later.

Online Auto Loans

No, we are not having one not in the near future I guess. I was just amazed on how technologies changed our lives because I know before it would take you months or weeks to apply for an auto loan, you know the process of filling up thick forms and then submitting loads of papers to prove them that you are able to pay them and then waiting for someone to do credit investigation and a whole lot more of work.

Today, it is very different. You can apply for Car Loans online, and when we say online that means you don’t have to get out of your home and you can get results fast. Try visiting apexautoloan.com and see for your self.

I wonder what’s going to be available next online.

What FAmily Role Do I PLay?

You Are the Mother

You have an abundance of love for humanity. You care about all the people of the world.

You love helping others more than anything else. You love to be needed.

At your best, you unconditionally love people. You are very nurturing.

You are a wise and gentle teacher. You are happy to guide anyone who needs your advice or explanations.

At your worst, you are controlling and overbearing.

You smother people with affection and gifts. And with this attention you give, you are expecting something in return.

Take the quizz here
*************************************************
You see? I know I'm gonna be a mom someday!!! :)

Work abroad

I used to dream of working abroad when I was younger. At that young age, I know that when you work abroad you earn dollars and by that your family live comfortably pretty much here.

And even now, if given the chance I will still do it, even when the financial status of the US is not good I would still grab the opportunity to work in that country. Especially that I have friends and relatives there, For sure finding a job would not be very very hard though I read in some news that jobless already reached the 7 year high in the US. I can always look for San Francisco jobs, or even to anywhere of the 50 states, even in the suburbs. I don’t certainly love the idea of being away from my family (hubby has to come with me of course) but seeing how I would be able to help them would be an enough motivation.

Now if US is not possible, Canada, Australia and Dubai are good options too. Only if given the chance and the opportunity. Why not di ba?

But the thing is God has other plans for me. yun lang.

Good morning!

Happy Monday morning everyone!
It's a good day!!! Isn't it? Woke up early and was here at the office early!! That calls for a celebration..hehe.
I think it is because I slept the whole day yesterday and I was well rested.

I will lose that weight!!!

See my post below re : TOTAL TRANSFORMATION, I think I need to be more motivated to achieve that because weight loss is not just about exercise I know it has something to do with diet too. And boy, I am a big eater talaga.

For always the best solution is this;

DIET + EXERCISE = WEIGHT LOSS

For now, I feel bit motivated to exercise, even it is only walking, I was also motivated by Raquel, a fellow blogger, see how she lost weight by walking and of course less food intake too, that’s just pretty amazing and I’m gonna try to duplicate that.

For now, the use of weight loss pills is still not an option for me. I know I have tried several of them when I was still single but since I am TTC I will have to resort to natural dieting and exercise.

Wish me the best my dear!

Thankful Thursday

Today’s Thankful Thursday theme is Change.

Change is inevitable, whether we like it or not we have to deal with change at some point in our lives.

Last year, there was a big change in our church that affected me so much and the whole church as well but however painful it was I dealt with it and as a matter of fact still dealing with it. So should I be thankful for it? Definitely YES! That was a major change but we trusted God with it and HE showed us that whatever happens to whom. HE is still GOD and that can never and will NEVER CHANGE.

I thank God that HE continue to mold me through that change, I was hurt but it is for the better, I somehow grew more mature and learned a lot through it.

On other things-

I thank God for the provision for our Praisin’ Kid’s town (ala school fair) activity on Saturday. At first we were worried about the funds we would use but God showed us again that HE IS OUR GREAT PROVIDER. Thank God for the people who helped us, our church mates, the whole team for working so hard, sometimes they work overtime to finish all the stuff we need for the games, yes, all the games such as basketball (the board and the booth), ring toss etc are all DIY.

God is good all the time!

Thankful? Join us here.

TOTAL TRANSFORMATION

Do you exercise? Do you diet? How many pounds have you lost since? Sometimes exercise and diet can be boring, I know I’ve been to many programs before, south beach diet, the seven day diet etc. At first I’ll be successful especially on the first few weeks but will eventually get bored on succeeding weeks and finally giving up on the whole program.

I also tried going to gym with a friend but it is so hard to wake up early in the morning, head out to the gym and then exhausted and tired go back home and head out to the office. That’s not very appealing to me though to some it might be the perfect one.

So what now?

Here comes XFLOWSION to the scene, I don’t know if this is very new or not but I love to have the DVD’s. I have never owned a DVD work out in my entire life and the thought of working out right in your home or even to your own room at the time most convenient to you seems to entice me that much.

XFLOWSION is a new exercise program that boasts of its “revolutionary triple training” meaning every aspect of training is there thus it is really TOTAL TRANSFORMATION. Now, who wouldn’t want that? I so want their DVD’s now and start right away with the program, just talking about it motivates me to do it soon.

On broken relationship

Time check 12:45 AM

As usual it’s way past bedtime, but I am still here. I just came from my Facebook account which I so seldom open now for so many reasons. Well, at first I was a fan but things changed, not that I don’t like facebook anymore, only few people on my friends list. I wish I could edit my friends list and delete some without them knowing it. That would be great but I don’t know if it is even possible. So as not to be annoyed by these people I steered away from facebook and decided to just check on it only once in a while. That once in a while was a while ago, but left immediately after reading someone’s status that made me feel bad, sad and mad. Whatever!!!

Relationship is so important to me that is why it is painful to see it flushing down the drain day by day.

I deal with broken relationship and broken friendship and it is hurting me bad.

It’s been a year now and yet I am not even in the acceptance stage. You know those stages you go through when you grieve.

1. SHOCK
2. ANGER
3. ACCEPTANCE and
4. HEALING

I don’t know if it’s right but as of this time that is how I remember it. I think I’m still in the ANGER stage which is bad because it’s been a year..hello!!! There are times though when I would feel I am already healing but when you hear something about it again, the pain and the anger will just resurface.

At least I am just angry not hateful coz that is such a strong word. But then I also wish I HEAL soon.

Time check 1:04 AM

general cleaning time!

I've been cleaning this small abode of ours since morning and as of this time I am not done yet it’s because I’m also doing some things on the side like dropping entrecards and bloghopping at the same time. I wasn’t able to drop and hop yesterday because it was such a busy day at the office and I slept so early! Yes, I think I’m already snoring even before the clock strike 11’o clock, that’s very unusual for me.

In a while I’ll be going down for our music ministry practice but before that I’ll have to browse a site for air conditioning compressor, no I don’t need as of today but who knows?

I’ll visit more blogs tonight after the practice. Happy weekend everyone!

Thankful Thursday

♥ I am thankful for the TRUTH in HIS words. I can always hang on to HIS promises because I know there’s truth in it. Even if it seems to me it’s taking time to fulfill His promise I’m sure HE will do just what HE said because HE is one true GOD.

♥ I wanna thank HIM also for the TRUTH that hurts but set us free. Just last week, we have to endure the painful truth about someone because our Pastors knows that even if it could hurt some people, the truth should be told and that we have to deal with it.

♥ Thank God giving hubby another year, thank you for the simple birthday celebrations he had last Sunday, for the his good health and for his wonderful friends who remembered and for everyone who surrounds him with love. Thank you Lord for those great people who have always stood by him through the years.

♥ Lastly, I want to thank God for these words:

Psalm 37:3-5 (New International Version)
3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

And I thank God for all of you my dear friends because you are all such a wonderful blessing to me. Thank you IRIS for hosting TT, God has used this tremendously to connect Christians all over the world and be a blessing to each and everyone of us.

Happy Thankful Thursday everyone!

How would it be?

As I sit here and ponder, I wonder how would it be for me and hubby when God blessed us with our little bundle of joy. Of course if ever I’ll be the first to know and even now I’m thinking of some creative ways in telling my hubby the good news, would I wrap the pregnancy test and give it to him as a gift? Would I just embrace him tight and call him daddy. Or I could send him cards like of those personalized Holiday Photo Cards. I think that’s so cute.

Geesh. I can think of many creative ways, I just hope I can at least do one in the near future.

For the meantime, if you're looking for some cute cards for the coming christmas season, take a look at photoaffections.com. They have great designs, so ideal for any occasions.

Am I addicted?

You won't believe me..it's already 3:09 AM and I'm still up, blogging and dropping entrecards to the max! and not only dropping coz I also read updates..

How I wish I could stay up so late like 5AM and then hit the sack and wake up at noon time but just can't do that. I have important things to do tommorrow..ay later pala!

So would that mean? I'm sleeping now? no not yet..probably right after i drop some more.

happy blogging everyone and have a wonderful weekend!

Thankful Thursday

♥ I want to thank God for the computer that was finally fixed last Monday.

♥ Thank God for the provisions, He really is our great provider.

♥ Thank you LORD for sustaining the scholarship ministry, many time I feel lost and don’t know what to do for fundraising but I am holding on and trusting God.

♥ Thank you for the many hands that are helping me and hubby in our feeding ministry. For those who volunteered to cook food every Saturday morning. We are so blessed to see people being used by God even in the most simplest way.

♥ Thank you for the conviction of the Holy Spirit always, to do better, to be more closer to God.

♥ Thank you for my parents who despite of their old age are still healthy and still helping my siblings in taking care of their grandchildren.

♥ Thank you for the HOPE that we will be blessed with a baby IN HIS TIME.

Vist more thankful hearts here. let us all give thanks and parise to our wonderful Father in heaven.

Wishing.Dreaming.Praying.

I know I’ve posted several baby items here and as you all know I’m still TTC as of this time and negative so far, but that doesn’t stop me from browsing baby stuff site, even when we go to malls, I love to look at small dresses, those cute baby items. And yes, many times I wished I am buying for my baby. And look what I’ve found tonight, here are very nice strollers from babyearth.com.

I love this one. Nice and durable because the frames are welded and the color is so earth toned. It also looks so comfortable for the baby.
And if ever I’ll have twins, I’ll get them this one and see the color? Isn’t it obvious? I love earth colors.

Wishing. Dreaming. Praying.

Computer repaired

Finally, the computer at home is now working but it cost hubby one thousand and four hundred pesos. We don’t want extra expenses sana but the computer is one of the most important thing in our home besides any home furniture that we have. We lost some programs like hubby’s music making stuff but today he’s re-installing them, I also downloaded Google chrome browser and it is quite fast compare to IE. I still have to download Skype.

So I’m happy because I don’t have to do my post here in the office anymore but of course will still do some bloghopping and entrecard dropping. Speaking of entrecard, I don’t know but I see some guys selling their EC so I thought of selling mine too.

Anyone out there buying EC? See that note on my entrecard widget? Message me if you're interested.

Birthday thoughts for hubby

Hubby’s celebrating his birthday on the 14th and much as I want to give him something or treat him somewhere else, we both know we cannot afford it this time. I really wanted an overnight stay in any of the not so expensive hotels in town since his birthday falls on Sunday and Monday is no work for them but sigh, have to think twice about it.

I even desired luxury vacations for us, last month there were tempting offers from travel agencies like cheap rates to Boracay, Palawan, Bohol and other local tourist destinations and it’s really tempting to book and swipe that card but I made a promise to myself that if I cannot afford to pay it in cash then I really cannot afford it. So the out of town trip is really out now.

I don’t even think we could afford to treat our closest friends, how sad. But that is life, after all these are tough times. OR it could be the other way around, they can treat hubby and me as a gift. LOL :D calling all my good friends out there!!

Anyways, hubby will be delighted still because I’m buying him the Fireflight CD he’s been asking since last month. Of course that will still be a surprise not unless he got to read this before Sunday.

IN HIS TIME

In HIS perfect time. I was deeply encouraged by our Pastor’s message last Sunday. The theme was “Understanding God’s plan and timing” and as we were singing IN HIS TIME, I just cried and cried and trusted the Lord that in HIS time, he will give us the desire of our heart.

We also have to do our part. I have heard many stories of PCOS women who have successfully given birth, so it is very possible medically. The only problem is that we are not rich, we do not have the money to go through all those treatments and mind you they are not cheap. One ultrasound can cost us a thousand pesos or less than if I go to a cheaper clinic. A pill that helps you ovulate cost also more than a thousand pesos, and there are lots of treatments out there but boy oh boy, they will cost me my arm and leg.

So how do I do my part then?

Complete lifestyle change-and that should start on my food intake, I should stop blaming PCOS for my continuous weight gain. I can do something about it. If only I could make some magic to make my estrogen and progesterone balance but there is no short cut to it, I should work hard for it.

Right now, I am not taking any medications except for the ferrous sulfate vitamins, and since my CBC result is now normal I’ll start taking another vitamins soon, I heard about Rogin E from my egroup and we might try this one along with new exercise and diet program.

Easier said than done I know but I have to at least try it.

IN HIS TIME.
the reason why I am becoming the photographer now a days, I hate to see my self in the camera, such a shame, from my 130 lbs weight on my wedding day, I am now 178 lbs after 2 years and 4 months of being happily married.

Our weekend gig

Happy Monday morning everyone!

Again, I wasn't able to do anything about blogs last weekend for the reason that our PC is still not ok, hubby will bring it to the specialist today and hopefully when I get home tonight ok na. So all my blog works I have to do in between breaks here at the office.

So how's our weekend? Busy as a bee, our Saturday was so full untill 10 in the evening. We already started the feeding ministry in our new area in La Paz, Makati City. You can check pictures here. It's tiring but it's fulfilling.

Then we went to Manila Polo Club for a birthday gig (the first for the band), our Chinese neighboor invited hubby to play for their daughter's 7th birthday party na Hannah Montana ang theme, since the music ministry is doing some fund raising for the LCD, we accepted the invitation. It was such a very nice party, from the decoration to the prizes, to the give aways. Here are some of the pictures ;
That's the band singing Hannah Montana songs and me? official photographer hehe! Have a nice week ahead everyone!

HOPE in HIM

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His heart

He sees the master plan
And He holds our future in His hands
So don't live as those who have no hope
All our hope is found in Him

These are few lines form the song "Trust His Heart" which I found today at Nancie's blog. It stuck on me as if God is telling me that He's never mistaken, that He knows what's best for me, what's best for us.

And as I wait for that "child" as our gift from Him, I will have to put my HOPE in HIM.

And as I go through struggles in our marriage and personal lives, I will have to put my HOPE in HIM.

And as I die to myself everyday, I will have to put my HOPE in HIM.

Reminders for you

I’ve been blogging about Christmas, I actually have two posts about it now, see? That could only mean I really can’t wait for it. I am as excited as a child. And we cannot deny the fact that it’s the busiest time of the year, mails sent through postal mail could take a month or two before it reach you.

So for my dear readers who are US residents, if you are planning on sending your gifts or greeting cards in the Philippines through postal mail I suggest you start mailing it now otherwise it will reach your recipients weeks after Christmas. And vice versa, I'm actually writing on my Christmas greeting cards now.

And for non US residents who buy gifts online and you worry that they won’t ship outside the US as most US retailers do, Access USA can be the answer to your problem. You see? They offer this one of a kind service that allows you to buy online and let them shipped it to your personal US address even if you don’t live in the US. They will then ship the item to you wherever you are in this part of the world. Isn’t it cool? Visit MyUS.com website now and see for your self. I’m sure a lot of my friends who love to shop online will be glad to explore this option.

Happy early Christmas shopping and for my friends out there I'll post my detailed wish list soon! LOL :)

Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday once again and this week I am thankful for the following:

♥ I thank God how he maneuvered my life, last night I was talking with my two friends and without me noticing it, I was already telling them my testimony, how God picked me up and brought me back in HIS arms.

♥ I am thankful for all the pain I had in the past because God used them to make me stronger and to minister to those who are also in the same pain I went through.

♥ I thank God for the total forgiveness HE bestowed upon me. Truly “a broken spirit and a contrite heart, he will not despise”
. I am thankful for that night years ago when I cried to HIM and then I remember how peaceful I felt afterwards.

♥ I thank God for my former Pastor, who even in my lowest moment knew and keep on telling me that God will use me someday-and yes HE is using me now.

♥ Thank God for all the blessings this week, for the HOPE you’re giving me. Thank you for teaching me to TRUST you in every circumstance of my life.

So what are you thankful for this week? Come and share it with us. Visit Iris site and see more thankful hearts!
Have a blessed Thursday!

Spread the Christmas Spirit!

Let us all spread the spirit of Christmas! Thanks Jeng!

It's so simple. Copy the photo below then write your blog and your wish this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF- LESS... something that money can't buy... something that another person will treasure dearly.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children's Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I'd be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I'd like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year :)

4.Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasm time, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren's ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

5. God's best gift by Rocks ; Every December we have christmas party for our "children of hope" ministry, this year we will do it again, and my wish is beside the games and the food, I wish we could give the family of each kid a grocery bag, something they can cook for christmas eve, hoping we could get more sponsors so we can give them that.

I want to pass this to Mari, Yen, Cee and Abelle.

It's Christmas!!

It’s only the 2nd day of September but yesterday while bloghopping, I noticed a lot of post and entries about Christmas already! Wow! Some even started the countdown. And yes, Christmas is just around the corner!

And with that, Jan’s coffee break this week is all about Christmas..Oh I love Christmas! It’s my favorite time of the year, I know, traffic is bad during this season, some commodities shoot up but still I love Christmas. I enjoy buying gifts for my niece and nephews and god children, I have lots of them mind you. As much as possible I give gifts that I’ve personally chosen for them and I all the more enjoy wrapping them and putting them under my Christmas tree.

I love to see my nieces and nephews gather around the Christmas tree on my parent’ house on the eve of Christmas. I miss it actually last year so this year I make sure we will al be home for Christmas.

Of course, I have Christmas wish list too, sometimes I do tell my sisters and close friends what gifts I want for Christmas and this year I haven’t think of it yet. But I have big list this year, I mean I really have some expensive on my list like the PSP I’ve been dreaming to buy, the plasma tv mount, the ever elusive laptop and a new DVD. Though I would not mind not getting them this Christmas as long as I am with my family, as long as we are enjoying the dinner table, as long as I can see those happy faces of my nephews and nieces I am fine with that.

Can’t wait for Christmas!

Sad News for the Christian World

I can not explain how I feel about this sad news, probably the whole Christian world is still in shock. I actually heard about this last week but was able to read the whole story only yesterday and last night I shared it with hubby and he too was stunned.

I am talking about Michael Guglielmuccie of Australia. The former pastor with one of Australia's biggest youth churches, Planetshakers, inspired hundreds of thousands of young Christians around the world as he performed with an oxygen tube in his nose.

I am actually worried on how this event will affect Christians all over the world, of course he is famous that’s why this news was all over the internet for some days now. But I do know, this happens not only in Australia, not only in big churches but something like this happens even in small church and could even happen to your church.

I suddenly remember the pastor I knew from way back who left his wife and eloped with the church worship leader.

I could enumerate more stories and stuff like that but I don’t want to. It’s not even worth remembering. It’s painful for me to see Pastors and church leaders fall and I know it’s even more painful to God.

But then, God is God and He has thoughts and plans only Him knows and understand. I cannot by anyway judge them. Honestly, reading the news and watching all the videos, I feel sorry for Michael and I hope He finds forgiveness in his heart. God is able and will always be able to forgive him as He is forgiving us in our everyday sins.

And for God, there is no such small or big time sin. A SIN is a SIN no matter how tiny it is in our eyes.
I guess we all need the HEALER everyday.

I won again!

Seems I am blessed (lucky for others term) in joining clog contest, and wow! There are lots of on going contest these days in the blogging world, it’s just that I cannot join them all, not that I’m choosy but I feel comfortable joining contest from bloggers I know and from bloggers whom I really am fond of reading their blogs.

So in that note, I would like to thank Mai of swept away for her blog contest, It is not a big amount but I appreciate it so much because she have chosen my blog post about her contest unique.

Here’s my post about it, and here’s the post announcing the winners.

And according to Mai, we just have to stay tuned for she might staged another contest again with higher prize, probably a prize we can use to buy girl stuff such as make ups or a UGG boots. I would love that!

So shall we all stay tuned?

Thank God it's Monday

So happy it’s Monday!

I know most of us slaves…uhmn.. employees hate Monday because we want to stay late in bed, we don’t wanna wake up so early in the morning and we always always wish it’s still Sunday right?

But it’s different for me today, since yesterday I’ve been waiting for Monday to come and yes for the record I am not late today. Clap.clap.clap.

You see, all of the blogging task written below this post were not accomplished this weekend, our computer at home for reasons only my husband knows crashed and I couldn’t turn it on, so I’m computer less the whole weekend. And I’ve been thinking of all the task I have yet to accomplished, that’s why I came early today at the office.

I promise to do bloghops and drop entrecard in between breaks but for the meantime it’s time to do some office works and financial reporting at the same time.

I’ll see you all later!
