Tagalog Wordings for wedding invitation

I notice there are lots of traffic here in my blog from people searching for Tagalog wedding vows and since our whole wedding was done in Tagalog I just thought of sharing our invitation wordings which is also written in Tagalog. This might help those who are planning to have Filipiniana theme wedding and would want to have their invites in Filipino (Tagalog) language.

Our main invite said:
"Sa biyaya at habag ng ating Poong Maykapal,
kami Rudolf at Raquel
sa pagpapatnubay ng aming mga magulang

na gaganapin sa Biyernes, ika 21 ng Abril 2006
sa ganap na ika lima ng hapon,
Sa Lumang Bahay, Maharlika Hi-way, Cabanatuan City.
 Kasunod nito ang munting salu-salo,
Ipagbigay alam ang inyong pagdalo.........
Kami ay naglaan ng __ upuan para sa inyo

here's what we wrote in the entourage card :
Punong Tagapagdiwang -Officiating Minister)
Mga tatayong saksi at gabay sa aming pag-iisang dibdib - Principal Sponsors
Piling Maginoo - Bestman
Ginang Pandangal - Matron of Honor
Mga natatanging ginoo - Groomsmen
Mga natatanging binibini-Bridesmaid

Magbibigay tanglaw sa Aming Bagong Landas - candle Sponsors
Magbibigay sukob sa aming pagiging -isa - Veil Sponsors
Magbibigkis ng tali ng katiwasayan - Cord Sponsors
Taga-pagingat ng sagisag ng aming pagmamahalan _ Ring Bearer
Taga-pagingat ng sagisag ng aming kasaganaan - Coin Bearer
Taga-pagingat ng sagisag ngaming pananampalataya - Bible Bearer
Mga munting natatanging Ginoo - Little Groomsmen
Mga munting natatanging Binibini - Little Bridesmaid

We also have a prayer written in Tagalog in the last page of our invitation and our verse as well.

The whole ceremony was in Tagalog also, it was a bit hard as I have three foreigner guests but everything went fine.

I wish I could credit myself for all those translation but nah..I also did search from everywhere and just edited them for my preference.

On wedding preps again

I'm officially on full wedding preparations again. And as usual even if it is not my wedding I get too excited about it. My brother in law's wedding is 30 days away and though we we have limited time for the preparation I still think it's gonna be a beautiful wedding. I already mentioned before that the theme is "travel" and yesterday they got their "passport invitations" and they were happy with the outcome. For a 50.00 wedding invitation made in somewhere in Recto, I think that's a steal, embossed and with a nice envelope with silver lining. I forgot to take picture but I promise you, I'll post it here.

We also did the ocular visit of the wedding venue (Aerospace museum) last Saturday. I now have in mind what to do for their background and for some venue styling. I just hope I'll be able to do it, with the help of my husband of course)

Now, our next to do is the ring, the bride asked for my help to find a good but not expensive wedding ring. I wish I could refer her to look for the grandest diamond ring she can find but not now. Not when budget is a big issue. Maybe someday :) Anyways, I have said this many times actually-that having the most expensive everything for your wedding doesn't guarantee you an everlasting love in marriage and that happiness is not having the most priced wedding stuff.

And like ours, maybe this wedding is a budget wedding but I know the couples will be happy because they were God's best gift for each other :)

April Wedding-Mostly DIY

I realized I haven’t been posting about weddings here for quite sometime now and to think that this used to be our wedding blog and most of my posts from before are about weddings..

I coordinated a dear friend’s wedding last April, she started preparing last year and I gave her ideas on what she can DIY for her wedding day. And this is what she came up to.

The wedding Cord:

And the luminaries which I think is beautiful! I love the glow of the orange light in the dark. She painstaking made all of these luminaries.

Hats off to the bride! :)
And should I say hats off to me and to my husband also for doing this canopy?

Although it was not as beautiful as I wanted it to be, still hats off to him, he needed a trailer hitch to transport all of the materials and he assembled it under the heat of the sun..

and last but not the least..hats off to me and to Jemay for doing the table set up (table napkins with a rose) also under the scorching heat of the sun!

Weddings and Beyond Expo 2011

It's been a while since my last wedding fair and because I am helping a friend for her wedding, I invited her to go to Wedding Expo last Sunday. . We were only after ring suppliers as this was the only major stuff she haven't booked yet.  True enough, she saw a nice wedding ring design from a major sponsor of the expo but it was way out of her budget so we went looking for other suppliers, and call us wise buyer but she ended up having the same ring design but for a much lesser price :) I will try to make a separate post about it. I think I like the supplier she chose but before I made any rave I have to see the finish product first.

Anyways, so on with the the Expo, it was jam packed because we went the last day and last few hours. There were many people lining up in every photo booth. I guess everyone wants to have their souvenir just like everyone wanting tradeshow giveaways. Of course we are no different and besides our church mate who went with us is really looking for a photo booth supplier for her daughters' 7th birthday. So we ended up trying all the booths. Look at what I've got here;

And my friend ended up wanting one for her wedding too :) It's quite fun and guests would love it for sure. Back when I was preparing for my wedding you won't see such in wedding fairs.

What I notice about this bridal fair : few invitations suppliers, a lot of pictures of Ogie and Regine- Their photographer  was there and so was their caterer.  A lot of wedding venue booths but they are all pricey and high end. Misibis, Fernbrook, Fernwood, Bellarocca, Oasis and a lot more.

What I miss?  booth from W@W :) I am used to seeing them in every bridal fair :)

And these wedding rings are simply gorgeous!! I still dream of buying our dream wedding dream and I hope after ten years of being married we can have that rings already.
I love the gold one which is also cheaper than the white gold. Nice no?

Wedding Planning!!!

Am back to wedding planning again! and I am excited though Grace told me to be mum about it pa, eh sa excited ako eh..haha!

Grace is a good friend. An Indonesian by birth but a true blooded Filipino na.

So she'll be having a blue and silver wedding-which makes me even more excited because that's the original colors I wanted for my wedding but of course I had blue and yellow instead.

Wedding always makes me excited -lalo na if it's a close friend's wedding. So now, I am looking forward to two friends wedding this year.

One this coming May and another one in November.

I guess I really have to force myself to lose weight this time.

Most celebrated milestone in life

I missed two coffee breaks already and I know I’m late for this week but nevertheless, I still want to make a post about it.

For now, I consider my wedding as the most celebrated milestone in my life. Why the wedding? because it is indeed a milestone, a change in status, a change in environment, a change in lifestyle. It is a total and complete change of life.

And also our wedding was by far the most memorable event in my life, from the preparation to the exchange of vows to the reception. Everything.

I am still waiting for a bigger milestone to happen in my life that would topple the day of my wedding, probably that will be the day when I give birth. But since it is not happening yet, I still have my wedding day in top of my list.

Well, I guess I’ll consider learning how to unlocked cell phones too as a milestone but I guess hubby would be first to do that because he is more techie than me.

Sonya's Garden Wedding

I'm excited! as excited as my friend J-mie who is getting married there come November 28, 2009. One more year to go. Oh yes, it's still 12 months but we are excited. Sonya's Garden is such a nice place, we already visited the place twice and it never fails to amaze us of its lush gardens, the beauty of the flowers, the serenity of the surrounding. Perfect for a wedding venue. Perfect for a place to exchange vows before God and men.

Can't wait to see her walk here with her wedding gown!

And of course..can't wait to eat this healthy and super yummy salad again! For details on how to go there, you can visit their website.

Can't wait for a beautiful Sonya's Garden wedding. :)

I'm on rest

And so God made me rest for today, probable even without me verbally complaining that I feel tired and exhausted He heard me and in a way given me some reasons to be stuck at home and rest. So Lord, thank you for the flu and the slight fever. I am resting now and blogging at the same time.

Well, I will actually be out later tonight for dinner, it’s J-mie and Venus’ birthday celebration so they’re treating us for dinner and of course don’t want to pass on it. After all, the group seldom sees each other, only on special occasion like this.

I’m hearing more wedding discussion tonight because J-mie is getting married next year, I’ll tell her about the bridal lingerie I saw online a while ago. I’m sure she’ll love it!

But, going back to the dinner, we haven’t think of a place yet, we’ve searched around Makati and Manila but have still not decided where to eat. Any suggestions?

Excited for Saturday

"Thank God it's Friday"

Favorite Yahoo Messenger status in the office every Friday. For the office working girls like me, it's also one of our favorite days right? end of workweek eh.

Last day of the 2nd week of July, how time flies indeed. next thing we know it's August already. There is nothing special for today except that office hours is shorter (now, I think that is something special!)

But tomorrow..is different..We're going to Tagaytay or more specifically "Sonya's Garden". We're having lunch there so I'm quite excited for that. My good friend Vhon and J-mie want that place as wedding venue so we have to go and try for their food and ask for wedding packages also.

In the afternoon, we will watch Rommel Guevarra's concert in strumms, busy day again tomorrow, but that's fine with me. For now I am enjoying my busy Saturdays.

The sad part of it is that I will have no time to blog and visit my friends blog, so if you don't see me in the blogoshpere this weekend, please do understand.

hay, sana 5 o'clock na...

remembering our wedding day

That's a copy of our invitation, the chocolate lollipops were given to us as a gift and were given to guests as well, my friends who made it actually tried to imitate our logo which was a cross in the middle of two R,which indicated me and my hubby and the Lord in the center. I know it doesn't excatly look the same though :) but still I appreciated thier effort. as in.

This is the logo in the backdrop, made by hubby of course..he's so payat pa jan, pero now he's as big as me na yata..and let me say..he's more pogi now.naks! galing ko nga daw mag-alaga.hehe!

a fruitful weekend

Happy Monday morning everyone!

How’s your weekend? Well, mine was indeed a fruitful one…timing with the Sunday Message in our church.

I was out practically the whole day of Saturday with two of my friends whose getting married soon. We went to Paco Park in the morning to have Lester & Jerlyn’s (kunwari) pre-nuptial since this is not included in their package. Carmel and I volunteered to do the honor..hehe! saying that I don’t have the copies of the pics yet but will post it here as soon as Jerlyn’s approved it. We only used her point and shoot digial camera but I believe we were able to capture some good shots din, though not all of them are good..kasi naman Lester is so stiff..haha! di sanay mag artista..after that we had an early lunch in Robinsons Manila.

Jerlyn, me and Carmel

Later in the afternoon naman, we went to Teatrillo in Intramuros, we had food tasting with Eloquente, this one is for Carmel and Andrew’s wedding naman on June 6. And since I am the one who got married first, I am now their appointed wedding coordinator..which I so loved siempre. I enjoyed my wedding preps too much and I’m enjoying helping these friends of mine too.

I don’t know, they have not decided on having Eloquente yet, but I guess they’ll go for them, kasi the package is good plus the foods are ok naman. The only thing they’re not ok yata is the additional fee for the ceremony. I understand kasi these two are both full time missionaries so they are really on a budget wedding. Hope we can have some discount kahit sa ceremony set-up lang.

After that, we had the regular practice for our church worship team. It’s a bit tiring somehow and I don’t feel so good because of the colds but it’s very fulfilling.

Sunday, of course we went to church..later in the afternoon, Jerlyn’s entourage had the first fitting. Did I mention that my sister is doing the entourage gowns as well as the mothers?

After the fitting..I rested and slept till 6 pm..I still have colds now and headache but I think I’m re-charge for the whole week.again..happy monday mornign everyone!
