Thankful Thursday

from Iris' post... "Remember - no matter how bleak your day might be - God with clothe you with gladness…"

I really need that. I need the joy that goes deep down in my heart. The past weak has been bleak for me and hubby as we suffer from different sicknesses probably emotional, physical and spiritual, and last night while we were talking I can sense that hubby is getting tired of what he is doing, I can very well sense the stress that is on him. I told him to just seek God and hear from HIM. I hope he feel better today.

But anyways, I still want to thank the Lord for the constant reminder (like this one) that HE is always there for us, ready to turn our mourning into dancing.

I am also thankful that I have recovered from the flu last week.

I am so much thankful that the X-ray result of hubby's lower back is negative, no fracture bones or whatsoever. Praise God!

I am thankful for my family especially my sisters who are always there for me too. I am so much thankful that I can always run to them in times of need.

It's still a beautiful Thursday and Praise God for He makes all things beautiful in HIS time!

See more of thankful souls here.

have you heard about this?

Something good and beneficial about the menstrual blood? honestly this is so new to me and several clicks of the mouse and I have loads of information About the Science of stem cell. Isn’t it amazing? From what we consider a human waste comes a potential of something that could be use to treat diseases? I must say whoever studied this is a genius.

From what I read, the menstrual bloods have unique components and those are good source for stem cell and are easier to collect compare to bone marrow and cord blood. If it could help someone that is sick, why not? After all menstrual blood, as I have said was considered human waste.

And now, be amazed even more because with our technology advancing everyday, you can now collect your own stem cell from your menstrual blood. Of course you do not collect it with some jars or buckets, you need to buy a kit from C'elle I think is worth it. If you want to do some research about them, then hear from C'elle Client Testimonial and see for your self.

But still, let us be reminded that the best cure to all diseases out there is prevention so I must say we should all take care of our health and remember always that health is wealth.

health and money issues

This I thought because I got sick last week and at the same time hubby needed to consult the Doctor for his recurring back pain. I didn’t take any medicines at all but last Friday night hubby wanted to bring me to the hospital for the high fever and the abdominal pain. I didn’t want to because I think of the money we will spend. Susme! I think it would be more painful than the stomach pain. Lol

But the again, I know there could be times where I would need to go to the hospital ( Hope it would never happen) but we live in reality, we get sick and we need to see doctors. I only hope that by then I have a health card or an emergency fund. (which means have to work even harder)

Honestly, I felt derived at that moment, I mean I’m sick and I know I need treatment and yet I worry about the money. Good thing the pain lasted only for hours. God is good talaga.

But I don’t want it to happen to us again. Sana hindi na maulit.

I have always been like that, depriving myself but meeting others needs. When will I learn to love myself better kaya? Tsk.tsk.

Buying your own domain?

Buying your own domain? Looking for a web hosting that is cheap? If yes, do a lot of researches, compare prices, and compare customer’s satisfaction. If possible get a lot of tips in choosing a domain. It pays to be informed, after all the money you are going to spend is money hard earned right?

I suggest you visit webhostingrating.com. or any other webhosting rating for that matter. I wish I did when I’m about to buy my own domain and choose the best web hosting there is in the internet world. Why take a look at those sites? Because they offer a wide web hosting directory and ratings from their customers all over the world. From there and then you can have the idea which is best among the rest and which is cheaper. In that case you can never go wrong in choosing the best web hosting facility for you.

Happy web host hunting!

The Funeral

Got this from my e-mail sometime ago, posted this to my other blog too and i find it's worth sharing, hope you get something from this too! enjoy reading!

THE FUNERAL
============

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big sign on the door on which was written:

Yesterday, the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up.
Everyone thought: 'Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!
One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it, they suddenly became speechless.

They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin; everyone who looked inside it could see himself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: There is only one person who is capable of setting limits to your growth: IT IS YOU!!!!!

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your husband or wife change, when your company change, when your church
changes, when your location change, when your money change, when your status change...

Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs.

Examine yourself, watch yourself. Don't be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses. Be a winner, build yourself and your reality. It's the way you face Life that makes the difference.

Planning your December vacation?

It’s very seldom for me and hubby to have a vacation so when we do we make sure to make the most out of it, because sometimes we only have few days to spend over. The last time was our Puerto Galera trip with friends, this trip was fully organized by me so I’m quite proud about it. I was able to book us a cheap but nice place and probably our next would be on December if our finances allowed us to. Online travel guides are big help of course. Thank God for the internet.

Never been out of the country for a work or vacation but given the chance, I want to go visit New York, I wanted to try the ever famous New York double decker bus, I wonder how it feels to be touring the city of New York. The city that never sleeps, the Manhattan and the Brooklyn. It should feel good I guess.Or maybe hubby would be interested in seeing the Madame Tussauds wax museum.

For those of you who are planning as early as now their December vacation, and you’re looking for best place, best rates and best value for your money, I suggest you visit trustedtours.com, they even have an ongoing promotion now, by signing up to their enewsletter, you’ll have a chance of winning a $150 Magellan’s certificate. So hurry up..It's gonna be December soon!

God is great!

Once again God proved us that He can give us the desire of our hearts, we badly wanted to watch the Sonicflood concert but we don't have the money to buy the tickets, but see what God did? He gave us Patron seats tickets for free. It's like we have been given a 4200 pesos in an instant! God is great! See some pictures here.

Mich, thanks for this overdue tag of mine, I still have to finish at least 3 remaining tags tonight and I'm done. For the meantime I'll have to look for promotional products or cheap give aways for our next church event.

I'm not gonna tag anyone anymore but feel free to grab this to those who haven't done this yet.

Long weekend

Guess what? I started my long weekend early.

I’ve been sick since Thursday and last night was terrible for me. Hubby nearly brought me to the hospital. I thought it was only flu but then I had fever and stomach pain and then LBM with vomiting last night. Shucks, I think I lost at least 10 pounds. Should I say thank you then?
It was not a very good experience, good thing hubby was there with me, I am so thankful that he is so enduring, he prayed, he cuddled, he massaged me with ointment, he cooked for me. I couldn’t ask for more. And to think that he is also having back pains and just had an X-ray for it.
Praise God for the best husband ever.

So, I’ve been lying in bed for 3 days now and I think It wouldn’t make me feel better so I finally decided to get-up, had a nice cold bath and check blogs. Still with a lot of coughing.

I bet I’m gonna be like this for the rest of the so called long weekend.

happy blogger

It’s been a month since I acquired my domain name, sure it was hard telling people to change the URL link from their site which I think up to this moment some of them haven’t updated yet..wink..wink. But all in all my I’m pretty satisfied. It’s not easy maintaining your own site but it’s all worth it. I guess you just have to choose one the best web hosting there is, one that is cheap of course. Like what I’ve got.

I am amazed on how far I have been in this blogging world. I remember when I first encounter it way back in 2005, I have no idea what a blog is, an online friend asked me to follow her on her blog because at that time we both have the same online journal and I just said what blog?

Now, I am not saying I’m an expert because really I am far from being good in blogging, I am still unknowledgeable when it comes to html or xml but I can say I’m doing better. It pays to have patience and interest in the internet world. Anyways, I know a lot of you are planning or thinking to have their own domain too, well if you are, you might want to visit this site because they offer cheap web hosting and you’ll find there a lot of web hosting sites that will surely be of big help to you. And if you are a blogger like me, you might want to visit one of the recipient of best blog hosting award.

Happy blogging everyone!

what to expect when you are not expecting

You read it right, “what to expect when you are not expecting” I hope there is a book like that, I could grab one and read it the whole day so I would know what to expect.

For the last few days, I am secretly thinking and wishing that I might be pregnant, with all the cravings and sluggishness I had but NO, I AM NOT for the nth time.

So what to expect? A series of, “it’s okay you’ll get pregnant soon”. .”Don’t worry in God’s perfect time..” ..“Don’t feel bad, God has better plans for you”

What can be worse than having a flu and your period at the same time? Or maybe I’m just over reacting.

Thankful Thursday

Here's my list for this week.

* Like Iris, I m also thankful for the peace that this world cannot give but only God, this week there was chaos in Mindanao (southern part of our country) and a lot of people were hurt, dead, some lost their homes and several cities were struck with terror but praise be to God who gives us peace in our hearts. I pray that those people affected will also feel the love and peace from God.

* Thank you Lord for the peace I have right now knowing that I am safe in your arms, I maybe have flu but that made me all the more feel secure in your loving arms.

* Thank you for the rest you have given me today.

* Thank you for the traveling guidance you gave us last Tuesday morning when we traveled with our motorcycle from our province to home.

if you want to participate in this weekly inspirational meme, you may join us here.

I'm on rest

And so God made me rest for today, probable even without me verbally complaining that I feel tired and exhausted He heard me and in a way given me some reasons to be stuck at home and rest. So Lord, thank you for the flu and the slight fever. I am resting now and blogging at the same time.

Well, I will actually be out later tonight for dinner, it’s J-mie and Venus’ birthday celebration so they’re treating us for dinner and of course don’t want to pass on it. After all, the group seldom sees each other, only on special occasion like this.

I’m hearing more wedding discussion tonight because J-mie is getting married next year, I’ll tell her about the bridal lingerie I saw online a while ago. I’m sure she’ll love it!

But, going back to the dinner, we haven’t think of a place yet, we’ve searched around Makati and Manila but have still not decided where to eat. Any suggestions?

Our first ever long motorcycle drive

And you won’t believe me that we did it all the way from Nueva Ecija to Makati yesterday. We left at around 5:30 AM and we reached home at around 10:30 AM so it is approximately 5 hour drive. We made three stops to gas up and rest for less than 10 minute each stop.

However, I know the drive took so long because hubby is not familiar with tatay’s motorcycle, ours is an automatic and has no clutch so hubby isn’t not as familiar with this bike and it’s bigger than ours. Plus it’s our first time (and I think the will be the last.) The only road I know going to and from manila is through NLEX and because motorcycles are not allowed there we took the Mc-Arthur Hi-way or the Manila North road which is so unfamiliar too.

I don’t advise it to anyone because It doesn’t seem safe. We only did it because of our love for the father who wants his motorcycle be brought to Manila and of course he requested for the hubby to do it since he knew we drive a lot with our motorbike.

What can I say? It’s a pretty and not so pretty experience. One good side is that I was able to look at the countryside meaning all the beautiful landscape and the air (pero that was when we were still traversing the nueva ecija road pa) hubby loves the smell of the green grass. I got to see also all the commercial real estate and the housing areas that is currently being developed. I saw one big SM being constructed in Bulacan.

Tsk..I should have brought with me the camera, that picture above was during our tagaytay trip.

On brown outs and generators

I read from Mari’s blog about the unscheduled brown out in their town. I know it is hard. I remember the long brown out after the milenyo super typhoon. Every hotels in town who have generators are fully booked during those days. Blessed are those who have their own generators at home. But for those who have none, like us, we literally slept in darkness and in sweat.

So, yes, If I can afford it, I’ll have our own generator too. I think I should suggest this to our church. I still remember that we had one sunday worship with no electricity so can you just imagine we were in a big place with less than 200 people and we have no sound system. Quite hard no?

How about you guys? Will you consider buying one for your home if ever?

What makes me happy? what makes me sad?

Am still catching up on tags..and this one is from Jeng.

Start copy here:
Here are the Rules:
1. List things that makes you happy and what makes you sad..

A blog contest

Ok, so this is my 2nd time to join a blog contest, the first one is from Juliana's blog in which I won 5th prize. I enjoy that contest very much because aside from the prize money I have gained new blog friends and the constant exchange of comments helped us know each other better.

And I'm so excited to be joining another one from Mai's site, I love what she said
"Yes, we have to enjoy and celebrate even the smallest things in life."

She's celebrating her 329th birth month and the new header thus the contest.

And what a better way to celebrate with her than to join her contest ? right? So if you knew Mai, the digscrapper pro (as mec describe her) the mom to asher, you might want to join her contest and let us celerate together.

below is the copy of her contest:

************************************************************************************

Yeah..I know it’s not that much. But this certainly is enough to fund your small whims like cellphone load credits, a nice digiscrapping kit that has been stuffed in your shopping cart for the longest time, 1000 Entrecard credits, a new domain, or however you might want to consume it. Besides, the contest mechanics is so simple and won’t take too much of your time just as a paid 60-words post would do (you know what I mean).

The prizes:

1st prize - $10 paypal money*
2nd prize - $5 paypal money*
3rd prize - 200 EC credits
*You have to have paypal accounts.

Mechanics:
1. Subsribe to my feed via Feedburner - 1 entry
2. Add my blog to your Technorati Favorites - 1 entry
**Both widgets are found on my right sidebar.

Should you wish to earn more entries, you may (this isn’t required) blog about this contest post and you’ll automatically be entitled to 3 more entries. No minimum number of words, no specified style..it’s all up to you. If you have multiple blogs, you may do so in each blog (earn 3 entries/blog). As an added bonus, I’ll pick the most creative and amusing entry to win $5 paypal money.

In order for me to validate and monitor your entries, please leave a comment here and note the following:
1. your email address you used for the Feed subscription
2. your Technorati ID
3. Your blog URL of the contest post

Corporate gifts

Looking for corporate gifts, promotional items or promotional products? Do you want personalized pens or stationary sets you can give to your clients or friends this coming Christmas? Well, I just found inkhead.com, a site where a wide variety of promotional stuff is available and you can compare prices, thus letting you know theirs is cheap. I find the pens so affordable and I am thinking of that as a souvenir next year for our church anniversary. I also love this eco friendly bag because it’s so green.
Visit the site and you’ll find more interesting items there.

Have You Rewarded Yourself Lately?

Got this in my email this morning and thought of sharing it with my PCOS sisters out there ..It's sad realizing I have not been good to my self (body) for the past 7 months. No changes except for more weight gain. ugh. I hope to do better before the year ends. It is so frustrating trying to fit in your almost new jeans and finally give up.

**************************************************************************************************

The long, pleasant days of summer will be over before long. Before you get swept up in the "busyness" of the fall season, why not take a few moments to acknowledge the positive changes you've made in your life thus far in 2008?
It's time to honor yourself and remind yourself of the good results you have created.

Self-esteem and self-respect can be major issues for those with PCOS. So it's a blessing to take time out to consider the positive changes in your life. It will help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself, and will encourage the continuance of good habits in the future.

As you reflect on the past seven months, ask yourself these questions:

• What is at least one change I have made since January to take better care of my body?
• What risks have I taken? What fears or challenges have I faced?
• How have I grown and matured as a person? What qualities have I developed? Am I more patient, focused, or financially responsible?
• How have I improved my environment? Have I cleaned up my home or office and gotten rid of unwanted clutter in my life? Have I created an environment that supports me emotionally and gives me pleasure?
• What have I done to help others improve the quality of their lives?
• What else has changed?

Never mind what you didn't accomplish. Focus on what worked instead of on what still needs to change. Make a written list of at least five positive changes you've made so far this year, no matter how modest they may be.
It's important to put this list in writing. Doing so sends a powerful message to yourself that you are worth the time and energy. And, as your self-worth increases, the world responds accordingly. You become a magnet for better life experiences.

As you acknowledge your accomplishments and growth, you build self-respect and self-trust, which support you in making healthier choices for you and your loved ones.

Living a healthier, more balanced life is more than eating a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise. It's also learning how to be kind to yourself.

So reward yourself for what you've accomplished. Share your successes with a friend or family member. Spend an afternoon at the beach or in the mountains, take yourself to the theater, enjoy dinner with a friend, buy yourself a gift or treat yourself to a massage. You deserve to celebrate your successes!

Mesothelioma- a lung disease

I never knew this kind of disease existed, thanks to the technology of internet, information is easily access and a thirty minute browsing will give you loads of information about a certain thing you want to know. And if you want to know what mesothelioma is I suggest you visit their site. From what I read there, it is an asbestos-caused cancer of the membranes that surround many of the body’s vital organs.

So beware of being expose to asbestos because it is the only confirmed cause of mesothelioma. According to the site, asbestos is a mineral that was crushed and milled into a fine particulate, and then shipped to corporations for use in building and insulation materials. You can view more of asbestos here.

And according to National Association of Certified Home Inspectors

“A common form of magnesium silicate which was used in various construction products... Asbestos exposure (caused by inhaling loose asbestos fibers) is associated with various forms of lung disease [including mesothelioma]... its extremely fine fibers are easily inhaled, and exposure to them over a period of years has been linked to cancers of the lung or lung-cavity lining and to asbestosis, a severe lung impairment.”

At least, it is good to be informed right?

Hubby's birthday is coming!

Thirty five days from now, hubby will be celebrating his birthday. It will be his 3rd celebration since we got married and right now I am thinking of what to do for him, the first time we celebrated it as husband and wife, I prepared a lunch for our close friends in the church which was a surprise to him, and when I say surprise it really is because I’m so good at it, he didn’t even notice I prepared something more so of a lunch.

This year, honestly I wanted to surprised him of at least a 3 days 2 nights get away anywhere in the country, I would love to go to Boracay and how I wish we could afford it now, but who knows? We serve a big God, If HE wills it then it will happen, He will provide. He can even give us an Outer Banks vacation if He wants to.

If we cannot go out of town, I’m thinking of surprising him a simple dinner with close friends again or would it be better if we’ll just go on a date, just the two of us? What do you think guys? Any suggestions?

Want Some Pearls ladies?

Take a look at these! Aren’t they beautiful? Those were Tahitian pearls I found in this site. I know pearls can be expensive but again they are an investment and I also read from pearl parides.com that pearls are unique gems because it’s the only gem that is grown inside a living organism. I have an officemate who are really into pearls and looking at her pieces, wow! They’re all nice.

This Bridal pearl set is only $185. I wore something like this on my wedding day but of course not as good as this one.

Thankful Thursday

I know I am late this week, it's now Friday in my part of the world but...I love this week’s theme for thankful Thursday. HOPE.
I am always and will always be thankful of the HOPE my God has given me.
If you regularly read my blog, then you know by now that me and hubby has been praying for a child. I was diagnosed of PCOS last year and it’s as if the world crushed on us, but thanks to our ever faithful Father who gave us HOPE.
I am not yet pregnant but I know and hope in God’s perfect time.

HOPE keeps my faith in HIM alive.

HOPE gives me strength everyday in my battles.

HOPE inspires me.

On Infertility and detoxification

French scientists discovered a connection between infertility and environmental toxins in the 1850s. In addition to an unusually high rate of miscarriage, they noticed that lead workers' wives had trouble conceiving.

Their discovery was hardly groundbreaking; the Romans had already made the connection between infertility and environmental toxins in the second century!

As our environment has become more toxic, infertility rates have skyrocketed, too. In the United States alone, infertility affects over six million American women and men, approximately ten percent of the reproductive-age population, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.1
Infertility is now such a critical health problem that in 2006, New Jersey Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. unveiled his plan to set up infertility task force legislation. The group called for more research related to environmental toxins, citing specific examples of increased infertility in patients exposed to contaminated water.

Now, I'm wondering should I begin detoxification? will it make my hormones balance? Sigh. How I wish I knew the answer beforehand.

I spoke with Tere again last night and she too was now desperate to have a baby and she ha snot been back to her OB too. (birds of the same feather flock together) It's been a year since my last check up too and I am planning (for the nth time) to consult another OB. Sometimes I think of the money being wasted but I guess I have to make sacrifices.

I am still hoping and I don't get tired of praying and asking God for our gift. I know He will hear me and bless me soon.
