SKYWATCH FRIDAY

One of my favorite shot ever :) This was taken during our trip to the Northern part of the Philippines (Ilocos Norte) This is one beautiful morning I will never forget. We woke up early that day went to the beach, had some picture taking and then we pray and worship the Lord, the creator of all these majestic views in this world. Breath taking indeed. Right there in that beach, we stood in awe of God and the greatness of HIS creation.

I pray we can go on vacation like that again and I pray it would be longer. I know with the economic situation today aiming for a vacation is not practical but shouldn't we deserve sometime for our self? and beside vacation doesn't really mean expensive especially when you do plan it in advance like what I did with that trip. I wish there were also some kind of Barbados villa rentals here. This December I am planning a family vacation and I wish this will push through. I want to take the opportunity of that long holiday break.

Thankful Thursday

♥ I want to thank God for sustaining me this week. I had lots of works in the office and in the ministry as well so I praise HIM for being my strength. I am so much thankful that we are secured in His hands and though we don't have any health insurance as of now, we always have HIM.

♥ I thank God for the wonderful time of soaking in the spirit of worship last night in our church. It was the very first in our church and we had a good start. We expect more next month.

♥ I want to thank God for teaching me the “humility” again. He was a humble God and He was exalted. I thank God for the forgiveness and for teaching me to forgive everyday.

♥ Thank you Lord for what you are doing in the music ministry. For the unity and commitment each one of us is showing. Thank you for the privilege of leading your people into worship not just every Sunday but in every worship service we have.

♥ Thank you for the wonderful people who are helping us raise funds for the Christmas gift giving. Thank you for helping us with the benefit concert. I know each one of you is Blessed to be a Blessing.

♥ of course, I want to thank HIM for the 5 senses we have. I can’t imagine a life without anyone of them. Praise God I can hear, see, smell, feel and taste. Sometimes we hear bad news, we see nasty things around us but still we should be thankful we can. Others live in pure darkness and silence.

Happy thankful Thursday everyone and If you want to join you can just visit Iris’ Grace alone site.

Poster layout

It’s a busy week for me, good thing I’ve still manage to post at least once in a while. The benefit concert we’re organizing is eating up all my time day and night. Last night was the band pictorial and though it is not a professional kind of pictorial we still exerted the best effort. The poster is okay now and hubby will take care of the printing and the ticket which I rushed this morning. See the poster below. What do you think? For the meantime, I’m off to search football trophies.

Wordless Wednesday

MY Superhero!!!
Captain Barbel? Superman? Batman?

See more of wordless here and I have another entry here.

Dream big dreams

And who among us is not dreaming to become rich? Ever since I was a kid I have been dreaming to be one of those rich kids, someone who lives in a big house, someone who goes to a super exclusive school, someone who has her own car and someone who can go anywhere she want and eat anything she likes. I dreamt of that because I was born poor. Probably not that poor like we still eat three times a day but I know we aren’t even living above average that time.

I still dream of being rich today but of course reasons behind that dream have already changed a lot. I know it is not only for my self but for so many noble reasons.

I read the story of the founder of Days Hotel and I was inspired a lot by him. He was born poor but he managed to establish the Days Empire all over the world and he is a Christian. He was very good in real property investment and he didn’t even study real state broker course. Now a days people can go to school where you can learn specific fields of expertise.

Probably by now you have already heard of Nouveau Riche Scam. I am not in the position to tell you if it is indeed true but you can research for your self.

Upon looking at their site I saw a lot of testimonies about how their lives have changed by this university so I really do not know if Nouveau Riche Scam is just a bad publicity or not. I wish though it is not and that all these people testifying in the website are for real. It feels good hearing and seeing someone realizing their dreams right?

SO, have you read any Nouveau Riche Scam in the news? What do you think about it?

Intimacy in marriage starts in friendship

Are you friend with your spouse? I am, because I think every married couple should be. I pray though that the friendship we started even when we aren't married yet will last until our lives here on earth is over. Sometimes it is hard to maintain the friendship and I am deeply sadden to see couples slowly drifting apart.

I read this article from my women's devotional book this morning and I just thought of sharing it here. It's from "Make your day count book and written by Brenda Timberlake- White.

Most couples think they are friends before they marry but somehow “lose” their friendship after the wedding. Yet the person you are married to should be the best and most intimate friend you have!

If your marriage lacks intimacy, you may need to be back track. A house must be built upon a strong foundation that has had time to settle in order for it to be sturdy. Likewise, intimacy doesn’t happen overnight. It is not love at first sight. You can have the “hots” for someone you see for the first time, but you cannot love that person because you do not know him or her. Intimacy has to be developed over many hours of conversing; it involves knowing the heart of the person.

Intimacy in marriage is partly sexual, but it involves much more. It is a close relationship between two people who deeply love and appreciate one another, regardless of shortcomings and failures. It loves like Jesus loves, laying its life down for its friend, loving without limit. It is totally accepting and forgiving. An intimate friend loves out of commitment, not on condition.

Developing intimacy in marriage takes a lot of hard ork, but there’s nothing that can compare to being married to your best friend. It’s a little bit of heaven, right here on earth- well worth the investment.

Make your day count! If you are married, make a date with your spouse to just talk. Treat your spouse as you would a friend you are trying to get to know better.

Sad but productive Saturday

It was a lonely weekend for me, as I have said in my last post hubby is away until tomorrow. It was sad but it is a productive day for me as well. I was able to clean and organize some stuff in the room again. Tiring but it's okay.

It was such a hot day no? I was like perspiring the whole day. Aren't we suppose to have colder weather now because it's "ber" months already. Global warming is real.

Anyways, I was happy about something the Lord is doing in my life. I'm seeing things and situations in different level now. Of course it doesn't mean I am not hurting anymore but the love of God is just overwhelming. His love sets me FREE. Free of anger to anyone who have cause me pain. Free of bitterness in situations I couldn't handle. It's so good to be free.

And so the feelings when I wrote this post is completely different now. And I feel bad of writing that but I won't delete it. It will serve as a reminder to me that God deals with what I feel and that HE is concern to all my reactions in every situation.

And if I hurt anyone out there with that post (as if naman binabasa nila blog ko no? just in case lang po na nabasa nyo) I just wanna say sorry. I can not say I understand you now but I just feel God's love overflowing eh. and yes it's true.I am no better than anyone of you and I should not regard myself as one.

Anyways, It's already 2:47 am and I still have some songs to type. Puyat na naman ever! I have to wake up early pa tomorrow because it's Sunday.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone! and please spend some quality time with GOD. HE will appreciate it I'm sure.

Update on our fund raising concert

It's Friday once again! and If I'm not mistaken 62 days to go before Christmas. How time flies no? It's been a rough week for me but it's a good one. Last night I really felt God's comfort during our personal worship. I cried and told HIM all the hurts of these church issues and He lead us into worshiping HIM instead of magnifying the issues and all. We were so glad with that. Sometimes it is hard to forgive when you are still hurting but we really cannot do it alone, we need GOD so we could forgive and let go and moved on. It is so comforting to know that we have a God whom we can always come to. MAGNIFICENT AND AWESOME GOD.

I don't know what to expect this weekend, Hubby will go to Laguna for the ALS test. I have second thoughts of joining them because I have lots of ministry works to do. We were scheduled to distribute tickets for the concert this Sunday as well as the posters but we haven't finished even the lay out yet.

I was basically on the phone the whole afternoon making follow ups in the venue, and then the Mayors Permit and then to the treasury department of the Pasay City Hall. I was like overwhelmed with the huge task of organizing this concert. Good thing I was motivated of the needs of the beneficiaries of this event and I'm sure they will be very happy when they received this just in time for Christmas.

I'll be posting updates for the concert from time to time and if you feel like you want to help, you can contact me through the comment section. The ticket for the concert is only 150.00. If you think of it, it's only one happy meal or one budget meal from Jollibee or Mcdonalds. It won't be easy to give up on that for once and give the amount to the less fortunate kids right?

Oh well, this has been a long post. If you guys want to know what ministry we were working with you may visit the International Teams Philippines website and click on the Ministries and then click Fishnets under Urban Poor ministries. OR just follow this link; http://www.itphilippines.org/ministries/fishnets.htm.

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Press Release:

“The Economic Report” show to feature Heritage Web Solutions

October 22, 2008, Deerfield Beach, FL – The producers of The Economic Report are pleased to announce that Heritage Web Solutions will be featured in an upcoming episode as part of the show’s Business and Technology series on The Power of the Internet Supporting the 21st Century Business Environment.

The internet has revolutionized the ways businesses market themselves. It is essential for businesses, both large and small, to have an effective web presence. A company’s website essentially serves as their electronic store front, communicating the company’s identity to website visitors.

Today, there are approximately 970 million internet users thus making internet marketing the most effective way to appeal to customers from around the world. Websites overcome the limitations between countries and continents thus making a company international. Having a website also means that a business is open and reachable at any time and allows for quick customer response time.

But, it isn’t as simple as just setting up a website. The only way for a company to be set apart from other online competition is unique website design. Businesses turn to internet technology companies for the development of a professional and search engine friendly, website.

Utah-based Heritage Web Solutions specializes in designing and hosting affordable websites for small and medium size businesses. In business since 2001, Heritage designs all websites to custom fit each company, giving each client a unique, original and authentic design. Customers of Heritage also have access to custom flash graphics, Ecommerce development and assistance, database creation and management, traffic driving resources and more.

“As a global community, we are evolving into a technology-based world,“ said Brad Stone, Managing Partner, Heritage Web Solutions. “Rarely we pay cash or write a check anymore. More of our purchases are made online, or at least we research online before making a purchasing decision. Our checking, savings and credit card accounts are maintained and paid for online. Our socializing has moved to FaceBook, YouTube and MySpace. Our communications are emailed, texted or Skyped. Breaking news can now be fed instantly via RSS feeds to our computers or cell phones instead of waiting for the six o’clock news. The Internet is very much a main part of human society today.”

Thankful Thursday

This week’s topic is Friendship.

And yes, I read and ponder about that “Elizabeth” devotion and to tell you honestly it hit a sensitive part of me because probably I’m still in the healing process.

Healing about the pain of losing an “elizabeth” in my life. Lost in the sense of broken relationship. I stilll see her sometimes but it’s as if we never had that special relationship at all and it’s painful. She’s actually a spiritual sister to me, Sad that the friendship has to go when they left the church. Life has to go on so I'm moving on and I know I'm doing good.

But of course I am thankful for I still have the original Elizabeth of my life.

My friend TERE. A very special friend, my best friend ever, and though we seldom talk and see each other we knew in our hearts that we will always be there. We share every milestone in our lives, every hurt and every achievement. We had lots of good memories to share, we had lots of things to tell to our kids someday. We had fun and we enjoyed life especially when we were still together in the same job. And yes, I am very thankful I had and still have her in my life. She’s my precious Elizabeth.

I am also thankful for the Lord's been teaching me to trust HIM more and more. Specially in the financial area of my life.

I also thank God for giving me my husband- I've been to different moods this week but he always always understand. God really chose the best for me.

Writing and Weight Loss

I’ve been thinking of what to post or what to write. I was given an assignment about CDL training and I have no idea what it is. I realized I am also learning while earning through this blog of mine. Most of the time I was given task about things I do not know that forced me to go to the site browse and absorb everything there is before writing that particular task.

Anyways,on entirely different note,

Tonight I only had salad and some papaya for dinner. I’m happy on how our choice of food has changed even hubby loves green salad now after that Sonya’s garden experience. I wish we’ll do this for the rest of our life. I wish we could practice healthy lifestyle too. Now, I have to start motivating my self to get back into walking regularly. That would be a big help not only in my weight loss but especially to my heart.

Coffee Break 1.40

This was the latest, we went to my sis house last night and had some fun conversation with my two pamangkins.

ME : Love ako ni Nanay kasi anak nya ko eh
Rachel : Hinde, ako lang love nya kasi inalagaan nya ko nung baby pa ako
ME : Eh ako din inalagaan nya nung baby pa kasi nga sha ang nanay ko
Rachel : Hindi! Si Tito Rudolf (my hubby) nag-alaga sa'yo.
ME : Sino nag-alaga sa Mommy mo nung baby pa sha?
Rachel : Eh di si Daddy!

Nyahahaha! because gusto nya sha lang love ng nanay ko :)

favorite ko sha gawing model..:)

Microtel- A new hotel in Cabanatuan

This morning while searching for a hotel in Davao, I saw that Microtel Inn and suites is now also in Cabanatuan and was surprised that an overnight stay will only cost you like less than 2,000 pesos including tax. In case you do not know, I am from Cabanatuan City, I used to work there and had my wedding there too. During my wedding preparation, I searched all through out Cabanatuan for a cheap but nice hotel where my guests can stay but to no avail. So seeing this from the internet is something for me. That’s what I was looking for noong wedding ko, one that I can do booking online. Now, this excites me to go home and try probably on Christmas. They have outdoor swimming pool and looking at the pictures from the website I think their indoor lighting is awesome too.

Comparing web hosting

It has been 4 months since I bought my won domain name, so far so good, I am enjoying it and I think I’m getting all the benefits I can get as far as my blogging is concerned. With that I am now planning to buy another one for my personal blog and it would mean I will now have 3 blogs under their own domain name. Now I am thinking would it be best for me if I also move them all to a paid website hosting?

I did a bit of research and learned that there are many options out there for me. The research brought me to a cheap web hosting also that is only $4.95 per month and offers unlimited space and traffic. I also saw some best blog hosting that is not as cheap as the above but offers free domain and has a very good review. It’s $7.95 per month for one year now If I avail of their service for two years they’ll reduce it to 6.95. Not bad really but have I still have to consider that monthly payment.

By the way, if you’re also doing some research and comparing prices of various web hosting sites you may want to visit webhostingrating.com. I did mine there and it’s very good. Very informative.

Little Nicole is sick

My godchild Nicole is sick, we brought her to the hospital this afternoon because we got worried, her fever last night reach as high as 40. The doctor said it is Pneumonia because she’s breathing hard, they nebulized her twice now. How I wish we adults could take the pain and the uneasiness to her. She’s not eating and she’s been throwing up so she’s taking up glucolyte also, the doctor said it is like dextrose. Her parents are both missionaries and they don’t have a regular income. They live by faith. I am yet to be parent but I can see from them the feeling of how hard it is when you’re child is sick. Nicole is pretty much like a daughter to us, they stay with us every weekend and goes home to Las Pinas on Tuesday. So we’re kinda developed special attachment to her. We love to take pictures of her, in fact she has hundreds of pictures in our hard drive. She’s a happy sight everytime I see her when I come home from the office. Below are some of her pictures. She loves to sit in my lap whenever I am in front of the PC

Oh and did I mention she loves the yellow lighting in our bedroom? Whenever she cry if she’s with me I’ll just show her the light and she’ll look at it with all her amazement.

So dear Nicole, please be well now. We love you!

It's Friday!

Although weekend is not totally rest days for m, I still look forward to it every week. As a matter of fact I think I have more things to do on weekends than weekdays. Finally, I will be able to sit down and work on the fund raising event we are planning. It’s quite a shame that I only manage to finish 2 of my to do list for this week. So as usual I see a busy weekend even with my online life, I’m thankful of many online opportunities that are coming my way. God knows we need it. Good thing I enjoy surfing and looking at the sites that were being assigned to me, like this Rimowa from luggagesource.com. I know someday me and hubby will be needing this especially if we are to go out in the mission field.

Please join us in our prayers

Our Prayer requests :

1. Our fund raising concert - pls. pray for the needs, the venue, the people that will work on this event, the band, the guest singer, the financial provision and please pray also for God's presence and leading about this concert.

2. Please pray for our passports. We will apply probably first week of next month. Pray that every documents we prepared are okay. Please pray for the provision too as this is not included in our budget.

3. In regards to our passport - because we will be needing it come February, we want to attend the Regional conference in Macau and have our very first mission exposure outside the country too. Pray also for God's provision for our Macau trip. Registration is at $210 for each participant excluding food and airfare.

4. My 5 year old nephew will undergo "eye operation", we don't know when but the doctor said it has to be soon or else he'll be blind. My heart was broken when I heard this but I look at this as God's way to show us how powerful and might HE is.

Thank you for praying for us and may the Lord bless you all and keep you.

Am I a phone directory?

I am my boss’ phone directory. I mean he expects me to know all the phone numbers of people we are in contact with, so I make it a point to remember them, sometimes even when I’m home he’ll call and ask for someone’s number. Of course I have my own directory too just in case I forgot. Yellow pages is a must for me. Online directories are very popular now a day. It is so nice that I can Search Area Codes anytime and not only phone numbers but with additional information as well.

We talk about what?

I just came home from a friend’s house. We had dinner there, it was supposed to be last Tuesday but because I was so tired then I gave my regrets to the invitation. It is good to hang out with friends sometimes, especially when you all have your own lives now, married and trying to establish a family. We only gather and meet once in a while so you could just imagine how sad that the time flies so fast for us as we dine and chat. I’m just amazed how each of us changed, matured and grown in emotional, mental and spiritual level. You can say physical too because I noticed we’re getting bigger everyday.

Before, we used to talk about beauty stuff, make ups, lipsticks, lotions and colognes, sometimes men (wink! wink!) and movies but now it’s so different. It is so common for us now to discuss something about our homes and we love talking about kitchen hutches and kitchen stuff, about curtains, about beds and linens. We don’t have kids yet so we don’t discuss much about parenting and kids.

I don’t have my own house yet and I live in a very small room for now but once I get to move on and get my own place I’ll be so delighted to furnish it with things I love. Like this quality sideboards that looks so neat! A while ago we also talk about designs we want. I love minimalism too like one of my friend. I love to have the space where I can freely move so I know I’ll be choosing that kind of furniture.

For my own house I dream of having this buffet furniture in my living room.

I found this at ebuffet.com. I browse all their furniture and they’re all nice. From there you can choose and make combination of your preferences. What a lovely home that would be!

Thankful Thursday

♥ I thank God for the JOY that HIS promise brings.

♥ I am thankful for the JOY of reading HIS words, HIS teachings.

♥ Thank God for the JOY and privilege of serving you.

♥ I am thankful also for some bad news yesterday that made me sad, without it I’ll never know how God replaces those sad moments with joyful moments.

♥ I am thankful for God’s financial blessings, meeting our every need day by day.

♥ I want to thank God also for those who have pledge support for the scholarship ministry, to my friend Jerlyn and Lester. I was amazed once again on God’s being right on time. The money they sent was needed in time for 2nd semester enrollment.

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!

Let us know what you are thankful for this week. See you on Iris’ Grace alone site.

Wordless Wednesday

Once again, Rachelle my model wanna be niece
see my other entry here and if you wanna join click here.

Excited for my project

The post about the project-family tree excites me, of course it’s still a plan and I haven’t even started it but nevertheless I’m excited. I want this one to materialize so I can show something to my kids someday and to my nieces and nephews. This is something the whole family can be proud of. Now, the first thing to do is ask mom’s help, I don’t know if we have more relatives in other countries besides my Aunt’s family in Illinois. For sure I won’t be doing an inmate search because I never heard someone from the family being sent to jail. Thank God for that. But yes, I know I’ll be doing a lot of research for this project.

missing those happy times

and because we chatted a while ago over skype, makes me realize I miss them :) the happy times together and makes me think also..will there be more good times ahead of us?

Eco friendly gifts

Are you done with your Christmas gift list? I have not started listing mine, as usual it will be a long one, with all my godchildren and hubby’s godchildren and all the names I am thinking of, it will really be a long one. One of this days I am going to start that list. Right now I’m thinking of nice and useful gifts to give, I’ll probably consider eco friendly gifts, I think that would be a nice choice, it is still good to think of the environment while enjoying the holidays right?

Featured Site: Petwave

Badette loves our TV so much..sigh I miss him sometimes
Most of us have pets at home sadly though we lost Badette our cat one week ago. If in case you are looking for information on how to take care of your pets, here’s a site for you. As usual it is online so you can browse to your heart content as long as you have internet connection. You’ll find it very helpful as you can see there almost everything about your pet, from the food to health care, to rabies facts and even to their behaviors. In our home, hubby is the one who loves pet, I’m actually learning from him, maybe when we have our own house already we will be able to maintain and take good care of a cat and a dog. This time though that we aren’t allowed to have one, he might consider the fish and finally get that aquarium from my sis house.

Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies

GOT THIS IN MY EMAIL THIS MORNING, PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER TOO AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO JOIN ALSO.
*****************************************************************************

Dear Intercessors,

October 29th marks the anniversary of the stock market crash of 1929, after which the great depression ensued. Earlier this year, the Lord reminded me of this, adding that ”...Satan wants to do it again!”. We must be proactive through prayer!

For this reason, I am issuing a worldwide prophetic call to a Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies on October 29, 2008.

The Reformation Prayer Network and The Global Day of Prayer in the Unite d States will be joining us in this prayer initiative. Please rally your prayer groups to set themselves upon the wall on October 29, 2008 to intercede for the economic systems of this nation and the nations of world. To facilitate unified global intercession on this day, a prayer guide has been provided below.

Let us know if you will be joining us for the Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies on October 29, 2008, by emailing a brief note to rpn@generals.org.

Warring for the soul of our nation,

Cindy and Mike Jacobs

Project-Family Tree

I love to look at our family pictures which to my dismay is so few. The ones I have when we were still kids are still black and white pictures and I treasure them very much. Someday I would love to do a family tree project. This seems to be an enormous project but I would love to see the result. I remember one of my cousins attempted to do one but she failed so I guess I have to try harder just in time for our grand reunion next year. My family on the mother side is a big one but with the help of aunts and uncles and some distant relatives I hope to finish it by January. In case I need a much deeper research on our genealogy I don’t need to worry because I know where to go to. In case you do not know, you can now search for family records or any documentations online so doing research is not as hard as before now.

If you're in the US, publicgenealogy.org might be the only site you'll need in doing your family tree. From their vast archive of records you can obtain documents such as death certificates, court records and even histories. They offer it so cheap and easy so tracing your family roots which I think is important to all of us is not that hard anymore. Go and try it.

SCATTERGORIES

SCATTERGORIES. ..it’s harder than it looks! Erase my answers, enter yours, send it on to your friends. *Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the following… *They have to be real places, names, things. Nothing made up! Try to use different answers if the person in front of you had the same 1st initial. You CAN’T use your name for the boy/girl name question;

WHAT IS YOUR NAME – Raquel
4 LETTER WORD – Rock
VEHICLE – RAV 4
TV Show – Rosalinda (hahaha!)
CITY – Roxas City

BOY NAME – Raphael
OCCUPATION – Reservation Officer
SOMETHING YOU WEAR – Rings
SOMETHING FOUND IN A BATHROOM – Rack
REASON FOR BEING LATE – Reroute!
SOMETHING YOU SHOUT – Rudolf!!! hehe!

You've got to try this! It's so hard but it's fun!

Will I ever be an entrepreneur?

My cousin and I were discussing over yahoo messenger yesterday about quitting our present job and establishing a business of our own. I’ve been contemplating of leaving this job not because I don’t love the work and the compensation but because I think I need a rest for me to be able to get pregnant. (Some friends think the same thing)

I watched “the beat” last night with Mr. Colayco as a guest and they featured some good business options for women. According to him, fashion or accessories is one good option and he mentioned that there is also a big chance SPA business. Of course you have to consider your location and your market too.

Now, both of what he mentioned was not even considered by me and my cousin. We talked about putting up a pre-school and an internet café as another option. Honestly, I wanted to pursue a career in IT, had I known before that today will be computer age I would have studied computer related course, so now if ever I quit this job I would want to take home study course or enroll in elearning program available in the net. Maybe not as complicated as MCSE but I would be interested in MOS or Microsoft office specialist. I cannot afford to go to regular classroom anymore so a self study is the best choice for me.

I think there are many opportunities offered by the internet, since we are facing world economic crisis, I think companies will opt to hire capable people over the net because that would mean less overhead expenses for them.

Hubby is quite interested in learning about computers too but he’s more on the hardware side.

I don’t know what will happen next year, I might still be here on my current job or I might be doing full time ministry or I might be managing our own small business. Whatever it is I am assure that God knows what is best for me.

I chose the right color!

As you all notice I already changed the template, I just love the color blue and found this nice lay out this weekend. I took this quiz and boy I was surprised to see that I picked the right color that fits my personality. Wanna know if what should be your blog color? take the quiz and have fun!

Your Blog Should Be Blue

Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere.

You tend to avoid conflict - you're more likely to share than rant.

From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book.

Home Delivery!

Now a days, people are being more conscious of their health, there has been an increase of healthy store nationwide, I hear a lot of talks about organic foods which we all know are healthy. I even know some moms out there who try to feed their children with healthy foods, vegetables and fish and fruits and it is a good thing to start as young as you are. Although there are more organic and healthy stores in the country now it is still not as accessible to many like of those fastfood shops which is in every corner of any city. I wish there is something similar to DHP Home delivery healthcare product here, it would be more convenient if you can just phone them, place your order and wait for it in your doorstep. I visited their site and saw a lot of health care products available like Diabetic Socks , pre-moistened washcloths and some maternity stuff. Now, that’s what we call convenience, everything being delivered to you, food, drinks, medicines and even car batteries. :)

Enjoy the award ladies!

Headache and an emergency site

Good morning!
I had a terrible headache last night, I wanted to go online and drop EC’s but I have to sleep early otherwise I won’t be able to come to office again today. I wish someday I won’t be worrying of coming to office anymore.
Anyways, I can’t promise any bloghops today but for sure tonight I’ll do that.

For the meantime, I have another good find on the web, this time it has something to do with water emergency. They offer water restoration, fungus remediation and Black Mold Removal. So if you’re one of the many US residents who always find water inside your house you might want to bookmark their site. Or even if you don’t need them now it’s always safe to have an emergency site or number available anytime.

Looking for a nice week ahead!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil.4:13

That would be my verse for the week. I know I need more strength to accomplish all the works to be done and who else can give me the strength but Jesus right?
There are still lots of things to do here at work and in the ministry as well. Today I have to start with the pending car insurance renewal of my boss. Several airline tickets too and a lot more.

For the ministry I’ll have to list down my to do’s :

1. Finish lay-out of ticket and poster for the fund raising concert –due Wednesday
2. Print-out tickets and posters
3. Print out pledge form for the scholars
4. Print 2nd Fishnets newsletter (ask from J-mie)
5. Finish distribution of thank you cards (follow up with the rest of the team)
6. meeting with the people involve in the concert
7. Photocopy 2 minutes of the meeting
8. Confirm Rommel Guevarra’s schedule

I’ll see if I can finish them all this week.
I hope we all have a nice week ahead of us!

Blog template changed

Whew!

I somehow did it. I changed the template though it is not complete yet, I still have to put shoutbox and some widgets. It’s no joke. It was pure headache especially fixing the linkbar. Imagine how shocked I was when I saw my blogroll at the top of my header? So I moved it manually and I feel satisfied because finally I was able to divide my list into two groups. So my N@W group has one separate list now.

I plan to add more widgets but that would depend again. I’m still trying to figure out how to change the header and move the blog title, still lot of things to do. I don’t have much time now because it’s office week again. I’ve spent so many times with this change, this morning hubby went for a jog and I was supposed to go but because I’m literally sleepless I didn’t join him, told him I’ll just jog and do some treadmill exercise in my dreams.(big grin)

Anyway, that’s all for now, thank you for putting up with me while major change is taking place with this site.

I’ll rest for now and will do bloghops tomorrow night! God bless everyone!

Why it is so hard for me to change template?

After what happened in my attempt to change this blog's template I'm now more hesitant to do such, I was awake until 5AM this morning but I wasn't able to fix it. I got so many Bx- code errors and I lost the interest of fixing it. I'll give myself at least a week or a month before I dare tweak those codes again. Good thing I am not acne prone inspite of these sleepless nights brought about by blogging.

I don't know, I still have offline tasks to do tonight but If ever I finish doing taht early I might still give it another try.

Do you have any suggestions where I can get simple 3 column template? One that is not too complicated to install. if you could refer some good and easy designs please I'll appreciate that.

Oh no!!

I MESSED UP MY BLOG!!!!!!!!!

I was just trying to change my template, I uploaded and saved the old one but for reasons I don't know I can't get it back to how it was before...:(

This is the very reason why I don't have the guts to change..

All the widgets are now LOST!!!

the alexa rank..the technorati and the google page rank..

and even my shoutbox!! waaaaaaaaah!!

and it's 4:53 AM already!!!

Forgive me people

I know you’re noticing more of paid posts here for the last week. In case you do not know, G awarded me with a PR when they last updated and I would just like to seize the opportunities presented to me. I consider it a blessing and I know it won’t be here to stay long.

However, I will try my best to do some personal post as many as I can to make up for it. I hope you still come and visit me once in a while. PLEASE!!!

Even inmate records?

Last week, there was news of a local jailbreak here. I know some of the inmates surrendered but some are still at large. I never heard nor read the names though. In the United States you can do inmate search through internet, again any records you want to look up to, you can find it in the net. Marriage certificate, death certificates, courts records, phone numbers or whatever record you can think of it’s there in the tip of your fingers.

I actually tried one of these services last week and yes I found a friend’s address and their phone number in Georgia.

MY SKYWATCH #1

I have tons of pictures of clouds and skies and I've been seeing this "skywatch friday" posts so I decided to join. and yes this is my first!
The picture was taken last Sunday on our trip to Pangasinan.
More skywatch entries here.

Amazing!

It is indeed amazing how the internet has changed our lives, from buying and selling online to studying and earning online, here comes another service which was made easier because of the internet technology. We all know that records can be located anytime and with ease now, and it includes death certificate as well, and this is a free search. Whether you’re looking for texas death records whatever kind of record you’ll surely find it here. Another amazing thing from the internet.

Happy Birthday Nay!

It's my mom's 69th birthday today!!! We had dinner with them and I gave her this super yummy cake! we all love it! Forgive the picture, as usual my 6 year old pamangkin took the shot.

I made another entry for her here, please do visit it also.

nanay and her sister together with the two grandkids taken last April

Love you so much Nay!

No office for me today

I was absent today I really don’t feel well for almost a week now, that trip we made last weekend drained me plus the heavy menstrual flow. Today, the body just gave in. I wanted to come to office because I know I have works to do but I really can’t. So what did I do the whole day? I stayed in bed till1PM, had breakfast and lunch at the same time and then watched TV feeling like I’m using some kind of home theater seating while watching. I just love to be at the comfort of our bed. I planned to do some assignments online but I’m too lazy to get up. So I slept again and was awaken by the phone call from the travel agency and that bolted me to get up and make some phone calls, some office works never leave you even when your home no?

So here am I awake and surfing. I feel a lot better now. The long hours of sleep helped a lot. How’s your Friday guys?

Thankful Thursday

It was a busy day here in the office, I almost forgot to do this, I would feel bad if ever because I have so many things to be thankful for this week :)

And let me start with this week's theme GRACE.

We were talking about it last night in our discipleship, again and again I was overwhelmed by God's abounding grace to mankind and we should be forever thankful to that.

On other stuff;

I'm thankful for God's interference in my job, most of the time I know it's HIM who work for me, Like the US VISA application of one of our talent, I was kinda nervous and unsure if he'll be granted one but Praise God he has his Visa now just in time for the competition.

I am also thankful for me and hubby's maturity when dealing with things we don't both agree. I am so happy that we were able to resolve an issue without being mad with each other.

I am also very much thankful for the gathering of my whole family last Saturday, we were all there in my brother's house for my niece dedication and 1st birthday celebration. Thank God for the love we shared and for the values that our parents instilled in us.

GOD IS SO GOOD!! I know I still have lot's of things in my list but I'm gonna stop now. Otherwise, my readers might get bored :)

Happy thankful Thursday everyone and read more thankful spirits here.

I know better now

See my post below? I refused to do the countdown to Christmas but I see it everywhere and yep 76 days to go. There are lots of ongoing sale in different department stores and it’s true you will be tempted to just pick what you want and swiped that card. But I know better now, I will definitely not use my credit card to buy Christmas gifts this year. The card should be for emergency purposes only. If I can’t afford to buy a gift in cash then I will not force my self to buy it.

But for those who want to use their cards but have bad credit credit cards, don’t worry too much, there is this site who offers help to those who have not very good credit standing. As far as I know you can get online approval and if you do just a note of advice though, please use your credit card wisely so you’ll not end up calling them again.
