Last post for the year

Yes, I am making this officially my last post for the year.

I'll be out of town tomorrow, we're heading to Anawangin, Zambales for a camp adventure until the new year. So we're spending the new year in a secluded place with no electricity, no mobile signals, no hotels or inns, no beds and most of all no NOISE. Of course I'll blog about it when I get back. I hope I can make it as detailed as I can so when you it can be of help to those who want to go there too.

Anyways, how's your Christmas? We were at my sister's house in Bulacan and it was such a happy Christmas with all my nieces and nephews running around all day and all night. They didn't dare close their eyes on the eve of the 24th in anticipation of the gifts opening and we had games too for them. Here are some pictures. It was such a hard time choosing gifts for each one of them but it's worth it when you hear them say thank you and see how happy they are with thier gifts.

Another good thing that happened to us was I was able to buy tickets for me and hubby for our Macau missions trip on February. My cousin from Singapore informed me that there was an ongoing sale in Cebu Pacific, it was a christmas sale and it is indeed a sale because it is tax free. Guess how much is our airfare going to Macau? Php 450.00 all in. Only we leave Clark Airport but that's super ok with us. Where in the world can you buy a cheap ticket like that di ba?

Been here in our little abode since Friday evening and all I did was sleep and eat and play farm frenzy. I was too lazy to blog pa not until today because I have to do a Moen faucets assignment. I also made some efforts to clean and dispose trash and it feels good that the room looks a bit spacey now. I will still attempt to clean our bedroom tonight If I still have the energy because I still have to go to grocery later.

Well, I guess this has been a long post again, forgive me but it's the last post for the year so i do hope you understand.

Enjoy your new year guys and wishing you all a brighter 2009!

Christmas vacation please........

Guess what? I still have work 'till tomorrow from 8 AM to 8PM. tsk..tsk..

I'm so desperate to sleep and rest and have that vacation.

I'm exhausted from different Christmas activities especially yesterday. It was "Batang PAg-Asa" Christmas Party and there were 200 kids. But it's worth it. Their smiles are priceless. I'll blog a different post about it when I'm done uploading the pictures.

Everyone is waiting for the long vacation. And so do I, but last night hubby and I were talking about our schedules..gosh parang di rin ako nagbakasyon.

See this;

Dec 24-26 - Bulacan
Dec 26-27- San Mateo,Rizal
Dec 27-28 - Back to homebase
Dec 28-29 - CAvite
Dec 30 to maybe January 1 - ANAWANGIN ----> this could be the rest I am waiting for pero not so sure pa kasi camping lang to.

But just looking at it..pagod na ulit ako..

Anyways...Have a merry Christmas everyone!

New Direction for New Year!

Good morning everyone!

December is really a busy month for all of us. I admit my blogging activities were not as active as last month because I have so many activities to do offline. Yesterday, I was absent from work because we packed and distributed old clothes, rice and noodles to one squatters area in Makati. It was devastating to see these people lost their homes and everything in fire just few days before Christmas.

I’m done with all the gift buying and gift wrapping task also. It’s been a busy busy week as we scouted different stores almost every night to find a not so expensive but nice gifts for everyone on our list. And mind you guys, I braved the Divisoria in its peak season but only we went on the evening. I must say doing evening market is a breeze, though of course there are few stores to choose from, it’s still a haven as we are able to buy cheap but good gifts.

Well, its 5 days before Christmas, I still have work until the 24th and can’t wait to have the longest holiday vacation ever in my entire working life. Work will resume on the 5th of January.

I’m excited for New Year. I am excited for new doors that the Lord will open for us. We don’t know where and what doors yet but I’m now assured that God is already giving us new direction.

Hopefully, hubby will be able to continue his studies as preparation also for the task that is set before us. And since his schedule won’t fit to a regular school, we might consider finding online schools. I haven’t discussed this yet to him but I’m sure he’ll think about it. The convenience of being able to study at home appeals so much to me. And I think we can also save much because he doesn’t have to travel to go to school so that means less transportation expenses. I heard also that those accredited online degrees are less expensive than regular school.

And if God permits, I would love to study again too. This coming new year, I would like to learn new things, I would like to learn something about behavioral science or something about child psychology. I hope an online college major is not as tough as our regular schools.

Anyways, this has been quite a long post and thank you for reaching as far as this. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

serious business talks

Last December 03, I was given a chance to coordinate a wedding again though it’s only an OTD coordination. The client was a referral of a friend from the US. I went with hubby, with my good friend/cousin Michelle and a J-mie who is getting married too next year.

The wedding went well, we were there at the bride’s hotel as early as 10:30 and we were the very first to arrive to at the church and of course at the reception. It was a shame that we do not have any business cards with us because some of the wedding suppliers were asking for it. Now, that made us think to make this as a serious sideline, since we are doing it now and we are enjoying it why not venture into a wedding coordination business. Business plans has been the talk of our group lately aside from our ministries and we are now very serious into trying it. In few weeks time, we will be ready to send out the proposals to our very first business venture which is all about training. We are hoping and praying that we will be successful on this. This morning J-mie went to DTI already to register the company name.

I guess we should be discussing our business card image and style soon, along with the company logo. I realized now how essential the business card is in one’s business. Good thing there is a site where you can get online business cards and you can even get 250 cards for free. In these trying times, we need to cut on cost especially if the business is so new.

Next year will be a different year for all of us. I’m sure of that.

Feasting

Yes I am, I don’t know if it’s because of the season where everywhere and everyone are having a party thus the abundance of food. Look at this last weekend schedule of mine and tell me how could I avoid not eating?

Friday – 5 pm onwards – office Christmas party and I enjoyed the mango crepe so much.

Friday (yes the same day) –appreciation dinner for the volunteer workers in our church, I was late because I came from the office Christmas party. I love the veggie salad.

Friday (after the dinner) we went to starbucks for my (lost count of it already) can’t resist that red cup.

Saturday – we had an event at hardrock and at the same time it was my boss birthday.

Sunday – My group in the church (young couple/young pro) costume Christmas party and my oh my! The cake, the spring rolls and the adobo were all yummy!

It’s not over yet for I know this weekend there are several parties again.

Now, please tell me were to buy diet pills for I know I’ll surely need one right after this month.

A different Christmas

A Christmas with no Christmas décor at all.

That’s our home err..our small room rather. Last night hubby and I were taking if we will still put up our tree and some lights noting that it’s only 14 days before Christmas. He said he can put it up today. I don’t know. I used to be so excited in putting up Christmas decors but it’s so different this year. I think circumstances occurred before this month hindered me from doing so, plans about moving on and a lot more things made me forget that excitement and all.

I am not even excited to wrap those gifts already bought for our godchildren. And I am not even excited for Christmas parties to attend to except for one exclusive party for my group of friends on the 14th.

This will be a different Christmas for me I guess. Actually it is now.

And welcome to the world

Liah Jane Moceros Leoncio

Born : December 2, 2008

I wish I could hug you now and cuddle you but since you are thousand miles away, let me just hug and kiss you in my dreams. I love you even now and I promise to be your very good Tita naning. I'm sure Mommy Jie and Daddy Lester will take really good care of you. God bless you!

Welcome back to me!

I wanted to be cheerful because it’s Monday the beginning of the week but I just can’t. I still feel tired and I have been feeling dizzy since Saturday morning. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I had my blood pressure checked yesterday and it is normal. Praise God for that but why do I feel this way? I know something is wrong. Could I be pregnant? People around me keep on saying that but I think I should know If I am or not. I’m delayed as usual so I still have to check on that aspect too.

Anyways, the concert is over so I’m done with one major activity this December 4 more coming up so I’ll still be very busy. I don’t even have time to tidy up our little room and more so do the laundry so I might need the help of Ladybug steam cleaners.

I’ll try to check on other blogs later. For those who keep on dropping their cards, thank you so much. I owe you big time.

Shop, confess and WIN!

I admit I am not even halfway to buying my gifts this Christmas and it’s already December 03. Its 22 more days before that big day. I have been very very busy for the past weeks and will still be for the coming weeks. I have this favorite place where I buy my gifts because it’s a lot cheaper but at this point in time, I’m pretty sure it is now crowded especially now that people are skimping on their gift budget. People tend to look for discounts and sales everywhere. And I do the same of course. As I have said before online shopping is always a nice option, just think of that time you’ll save if you do your shopping online. I can even work while shopping right?

By the way, there is an ongoing contest at shopandconfess.com. It looks great because you can win lots of prizes just by confessing or as they say “coming out clean”. All you have to do is go the website, register and confess! And this will be the last month for the year so why not take the chance of getting that gift you want for your self this Christmas. Register now and please do tell them that this blog post referred you. Who knows I might receive a gift for my self too. So that means verybody happy!!

For more information, you can watch the video of the contest here.
