Leaving..

All my bags are packed I'm ready to go..

yes, we're all set! we are just waiting for some friends and we'll leave soon. We are all excited, I'm excited to travel again with friends, it's a 12 hour trip by land so good luck to us!! hehe! I'm sure all of us will be looking for a body massage or a spa with a good spa filter when we get back, but it's okay. We will enjoy this trip and we will have fun!!

I promise to take good photos and will post it here.

We don't have itinerary yet but we're also okay with that.

So before I finally go, let me wish you all a blessed and peaceful new year!!!!

Excited for Ilocos once again!

yup! you read it right :) we are going to Ilocos province tomorrow at 10pm, we will be spending New year probably in Pagudpud beach..I am so excited to see that blue water again and even more excited because this time it's not gonna be a lightning trip like what we did last March of 2008. We're spending 4 days and 3 nights there!!

And because this is our second time, while searching for insurance online I'm also searching for more beautiful place to see in Ilocos, the places we weren't able to visit last time, one thing for sure, we will visit Vigan again and the Bangui windmills.

Can't wait to see this beauty once again!!

Sleepless, restless

It’s been a busy weekend. Over busy if I may say, it’s like I only had few hours sleep last Friday and last night and obviously I’m still awake right at this moment typing away while the husband snores beside me, so that means I’m getting few hours of sleep again tonight not because of the snore but because of some assignments I have yet to finish.

Let me give you a preview of how our weekend went.

Saturday- Urban poor kids Christmas party, there were 300 kids that morning so you can just imagine how chaotic that was but it’s worth it, seeing them fall in line for our chocolate fountain and wait patiently for their turn while their eyes grow big in expectant of that yummy chocolate, it’s all worth it.

Saturday afternoon – we joined our church in hospital ministry which I am going to write on another post in our ministry blog.

This morning was our church Christmas party where we usually give gifts to friends and godchildren so I rushed some unwrapped gifts last night. And this afternoon was the Sunday school Christmas party as well. So you see at this point in time I don’t see the need of any weight loss pills or a dip machine because even If there’s plenty of food on parties I know I somehow burn that because I also work non-stop during this season.

Tomorrow I still have to go to office, if my body can. If not I plan to work half day and take some rest in the morning.

Busy month. Very busy month.

What a week!!!

Whew! It's been a busy week! and would still be very busy until Sunday.

Yesterday was IT Philippines Christmas Party,
Today was our office Christmas party, we had a "movie or silver screen" theme and it was quite tiring because the husband and I made the balloons and the stage decor as well, hubs was there in our office the whole day, finishing all the props. I also helped him of course, the props were my idea but I could not do it without him. I can't even move some office furniture to have a bigger working area so I am so glad the husband was there to help and I am also glad they liked it. They should like it after all it's pro bono :)

(the stage that served also as the projector's screen)

Tomorrow, we will be having one kid's party (for our chocolate fondue) and that's 300 kids. I can't imagine how are we going to manage that.

In the afternoon we will go to the "Hospital ministry" of our church. And at 7 pm, we'll have worship team practice for Sunday worship.

Right now, we are still printing t-shirts (doing this while waiting for them to dry) I do not know what time I'll be able to sleep this morning. I let hubs sleep for a while coz I know he's so tired.

Can't w ait for the 24th to come so I can finally have the much awaited vacation.

Major Changes coming up

And in a week or two I'm gonna make one of the toughest decision I'll ever make in my life. I'm quitting from work and joining my dear husband in the mission field. It is not easy. I've been working since college days and didn't stopped working until now. Not that I will not work totally because I still have my online job but leaving a job which somehow makes you feel secure is really hard.

And I'll admit I'm scared.

What if I don't earn enough online? Where will we get the money to pay our bills? house rent, electricity, water, telephone and all.

I just hope I am making the right decision.

Finally

The husband is arriving today!! the countdown is finally over and so is my solitude. Probably he's on his way now to KK airport and will be boarding Air Asia at 1:00 PM arriving Clark at around 3:30 ish and then we expect him to be in the house maybe 6 or seven. That's a long trip I know and he must be very tired but I know he is excited too. How I wish I could gift him a nice day in one of the nicest hotels here, one that is as beautiful as Cozumel Hotels in Mexico, that would be a perfect welcome gift, right?

But since the reality is I am in the office right now, working as hard as I can (ok blogging as fast as I can) and that I can not afford that treat as of this moment, we will just suffice ourselves in our home and maybe a nice dinner later. Anyways..there is no place like home.

Back to work!

Missing you

It's been 21 days since you left and only three more days to go. I cannot even say I've gotten used to it because really I don't and I never will. And I'm gonna make sure that this will be the first and last time for us being separated that long. Days and activities are not the same because you're not here, like now, if you're here we should have gone together to Pastor Rommel's live recording of the new album, anyways I'll just comfort my self with the thought that greater things are yet to come for us, there will be more mission trips, concerts, ministries and who knows we might even have Outer Banks vacation homes. The God we serve is the God of impossible and I know there is nothing too difficult for Him.

I miss you and can't wait for you to come home. I love you mahal.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY-Tagaytay

Taken last November 29 by a friend, this view is from where we stopped by to eat our favorite bulalo.

To see more beautiful skywatch photos, click HERE.

Beach Vacation

It's still on my wish list, a beach vacation for at least week or more and this morning browsing myrtle beach vacation rentals and looking at the nice houses and condos with pools makes me want it even more. We can blame the internet for that. But of course I am still on my sense, I know I can't do that this year but will aim for it next year, not necessarily the myrtle but Boracay or Busuanga will do. I just need to save,save and save.

I'm now 50% sure that our Palawan trip will be postponed so I'm thinking of any alternative that is less expensive, maybe we can go to Anawangin again and spend new year there? Remember our Anawangin adventure last year? it's haven and it's cheap. Now, I have to consider that again.

MC Mountain, Tagaytay

We checked in at around 6pm of Nov 27, we paid 7,500 for two rooms for the first night and one room for the second night. That includes breakfast for 7 people for the first morning and for 4 people on the second.

Choices for breakfast were longganisa, hotdog, tocino, and corned beef, all with rice, egg, drinks (pineapple, iced tea, orange, coffee) and a fruit (banana or pineapple)
Breakfast

The published rate according to the site and brochure is 2,500 for the room but good for two adults only. The owner was easy to talk to and she gave us discount.

lobby

We opted for MC Mountain because it’s the nearest apartelle in Sonya’s garden, And me being the coordinator needs to be there early in the morning during preparation since we don’t have the van yet we took the tricycle early that morning and paid 24.00. It’s like less than 5 minutes away.the mini kitchen

in front of our room

Our room is just basic but spacious enough for all of us. There’s hot water in the bathroom and in the sink. You can also ask for hot water for your coffee or noodles. The staff was all courteous and nice.

For the price we paid, it’s sulit na plus you have internet outside your room (lobby).

It would have been better though if they have a 24 hour store, they can sell snacks, coffee, toiletries or some stuff for remembrance like a Personalized Jewelry there. Guests would surely love it. We were hungry when midnight came and we're too lazy to go out so I guess it would better if they have convenience store in the area.

Christmas vacation

It’s December already, the last month of the year. Everyone’s been posting and excited about their planned Christmas vacation and yes everyone’s looking forward for the vacation it self. Christmas is a big thing here and we tend to have the longest day off from work during this season. Like others, we have plan too this holiday, we were booked for want to guess where? It’s not the Myrtle beach golf nor an out of the country trip but we were able to book a ticket for Palawan last April for only 450.00 one way.

Now, I’m kind of excited too, it would be the first trip to Palawan and we will be going with great friends but we have a little problem, until now we still don’t have the return ticket and we can’t seems to find cheap tickets anymore, prices have gone up so high and we know we can’t afford it, otherwise we’ll be spending all our bonuses to tickets only.

So I am now torn into deciding if we’re going to push through or rebook the ticket with charges of course.

If we only need not to consider money…

PCOS newsletter -Food is antidepressant

In this issue of the PCOS Health Review newsletter:

1) Vitamins, Your Genes and PCOS
2) Food Is an Antidepressant
3) What Is Gratitude?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Vitamins, Your Genes and PCOS
Your genetic inheritance is one of the main
reasons why you have PCOS.
The good news is that you are not a prisoner of
your genes.
You are not destined to be infertile, have excess
belly fat, acne or hair lo.ss, or develop heart
disease and diabetes
just because you have PCOS.
There are things that you personally can do to
make your genes behave themselves and not cause
so much trouble.
There is medical research to suggest that your
genetic inherittance may be causing you to have
trouble properly metabolizing two specific vitamins.
Therefore, you may have a greater need for these
two vitamins.
Read the article on our website for the full story
about these two vitamins:
www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com/news94.html
By the way, both of these vitamins are found in the
d-pinitol formula:
2) Food Is an Antidepressant
No, we''re not talking about "comfort foods" that lift
you up and then let you down!
We''re talking about whole, healthier foods.
A very interesting study from the University
College London
in the UK found that depressed
individuals consumed "processed food" (heavily
loaded by sweetened desserts, fried food,
processed meat, refined grains and high-fat dairy
products
).
In contrast, the least depressed people consumed a
diet of "whole foods" (heavily loaded by
vegetables, fruits and fish).
Depression is a surprisingly common symptom of
PCOS.
"Convenience" foods are your enemy. They
worsen PCOS problems in all kinds of ways,
including depression.
If you need dietary guidance, we recommend this
PCOS diet book:
3) What Is Gratitude?
We all know that PCOS is a stubborn disorder that
can create a great deal of emotional turmoil. The
emotional turmoil in turn produces hormones that
make your symptoms worse, which creates even
more turmoil.
Is there a way out of this vicious cycle?
Part of the solution is to focus your thoughts on the
good things in your life. So long as you''re thinking
about the good things, you''re not thinking about the
bad things. Positive thoughts build health.
Negative thoughts damage health.
One way to develop good thoughts is to think about
everything you''re grateful for.
Find out what three prominent writers have to
say about gratitude. It will inspire you.
Christmas Parties
How many Christmas parties you have to attend to every Christmas season? One, two, four or even more than that? Honestly, do you enjoy each party or you just have no options but to be there like company Christmas parties.
I'd thought of that because I'm actually thinking of the parties we have to attend this year and all the food we are to eat, goodluck to those who are in a diet, this season is the time to break it..lol. anyways, you can always buy adipex diet pill after the food season and start dieting again.
I am expecting at least four parties this year and that's fine with me. I don't think I can handle more than that. The company Christmas party is already exhausting because of it always had a theme.
So how many parties are you expecting?
I am in Tagaytay
Hi everyone! yup..am here in Tagaytay and been here since Friday for a friend's wedding which I coordinated. The wedding was at Sonya's garden and it's beautiful!! Sonya's place is always beautiful, so romantic and enchanting specially at night. I'll post pictures when my friends who have their camera uploaded theirs, you see I don't have pictures because our digicam is with the husband. I enjoyed the fresh green salad again from Sonya's and the pasta, for sure me and my friends will be needing slim pills to shed all the extra pounds we will get for staying here, it's quite cold, calm and quiet, perfect ambiance for us to eat all the bulalo we can eat.haha!
Anyways, we're here at MC mountain home apartelle and I'm gonna do a review or sort when I get back to Manila which is this afternoon.
Enjoy your long weekend people!!
Paypal Wishlist
Have you seen my paypal wish list in facebook? If not you may click HERE to see it. Not that I'll ask you to buy me a gift from that list because those are all super expensive. Will just ask you to check it out and see what I want. You may create your own paypal wish list too and if you do that you'll have the chance to earn extra dollars. Try it, nothing to lose. Here's what I listed there.
Blackberry Smart Phone
Thailand Grand Diamond Suites
Espresso Machine
LCD TV or Samsung HDTV
Apple Macbook
So there you go, how about you? Are you done with your wishlist?
Stiil counting
Hubby's supposed to go home today from Malaysia and the counting must have been over by now but guess what it's still 12 days to go, oh I don't count it that much now. It's a pretty long story and I don't want to blog about it, actually don't have the strength to write about it. Obviously he extended his stay and we fought, we argued over phone and over yahoo and facebook chat a lot of times about his extension and I must say this is the worst we've ever been into.
A friend told me that I should try to look at the bright side of it but at first I really couldn't see what's bright about it, but we were able to sort things out now. God is so good to us that He didn't let us stumble.
Honestly, it was devastating and I'm beginning to get depressed, It's actually the first time that I lost appetite one day and then emotionally eat a lot the next day. Good thing it's back to normal now, if that didn't stop I can imagine how big would I be. And I would probably need a weight loss austin wellness clinic is offering, well in fact I can't afford any health related expenses now.
but yeah, GOD IS SO GOOD!!! great counselor, great comforter, peace giver, a real friend.
I am OK now but still counting the days.
Lose weight as seen on tv
I lost some weight and I am on my usual regular meal diet and I didn’t add any activities to my routine but yeah I did lost some pounds not that I have that perfect Contour Abs because that is still far from reality but am quite happy I lost some.. Probably it is because of lack of sleep because I have not been sleeping regularly since last week. My sleeping habits has gone wild again, there was even a time that I slept at around 4 AM and woke up at 6:45 AM and went to office. I’m a walking zombie. I’m a walking fat zombie.
I really need to have some serious exercise or physical activities for me to lose weight properly, and I am wishing I could buy a Total Gym or something like that this Christmas so I can do it at home in my most convenient time. If not, I think the Slendertone system to tone my abs and muscles will also be fine.
Should I need to include that then on my wish list this Christmas? Or I’ll just go ahead and buy one for myself when the bonus comes in. Would it be worth the hard earned money I’ll spend? Hopefully yes ad hopefully I’ll use it as often as I can.
What do you think of online advertising?
Have you heard of Coca-cola’s biggest social media and online PR campaign? According to status media’s blog “The company (Coca cola) is to send a team of three people around the World, through 206 countries, over the course of a year, with one mission: to find out what makes people happy.” You can read the whole news in this digital agency site.
Social media is media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. Social media uses Internet and web-based technologies to transform broadcast media monologues (one to many) into social media dialogues (many to many). (Wikipedia)
Social media has really gone a long way. Imagine it is now being used by big brands to advertise and campaign for their products. Why not? These guys knew where their clients are, millions of people around the world uses internet and social sites such as facebook, twitters and others. You have a captured audience there.
Here in Manila, politicians took advantage of these social sites for the upcoming election. I can see everywhere in the net ads of different person obviously running for some positions in 2010 election. I wonder how much would their expenses be? Hoping they will not get it from the people’s wealth once they win.
Anyways, the blog where I found the coca cola’s campaign is also specialist in cpa network advertising. If you have a business and you wants to advertise online, you might find them helpful, they will surely be of help in terms of sales increase and . They also do the following;
*Co-branding and co-registration
*Direct response advertising
*Competition and survey paths
*Search and content affiliates
I’m actually looking for ways on how to advertise our chocolate fondue business and I guess I will go for online advertising. Hoping it will give us more clients next year. What do you think?
Diamonds are FOREVER
Feast your eyes with these beautiful diamonds girls. This engagement ring is super nice! look like the one I have but obviously don't have diamonds in it.
And these wedding rings are simply gorgeous!! I still dream of buying our dream wedding dream and I hope after ten years of being married we can have that rings already.
I love the gold one which is also cheaper than the white gold. Nice no?
Drive carefully
It's been 2 months since I bought the insurance for hubby because of the motorbike and because we cannot afford any additional expenses more so of hospital expenses (knock on wood) and some legal expenses like hiring someone as good as San Jose motorcycle accident attorney so I opted to get the insurance even though it is out of our budget.
Statistics will attest that motorcycle accidents are rampant especially on major high ways and I praise God that we are spared, it's been more than 2 years since we have the bike and we never met any accident so far, yes the dear husband is very much careful in his driving but then accident is an accident. I just want to at least get that feeling of somehow when it happens you have something to fall back on.
So please to all motorcycle drivers out there. DRIVE CAREFULLY!!
3 years and 7 months ago
and I know greater things are yet to come!! :))
Sad Saturday
It's weekend but it's a different weekend. I don't know it's been 5 days since hubs left, at this stage I'm supposed to be like getting the hang of it but to tell you honestly it's getting harder as the days passed by. I just really hope he will listen to my cries and get back home on the 26rth as scheduled.
It's hard when you have nothing, I mean it's different when you have a child to take care of but I don't even have a pet at home, I know it's me who is against of having one, he wants a cat but I said no and besides I think of all the pet supplies we have to buy and no we can't have it but I am thinking otherwise now.
He's supposed to be here on Thursday (if he listened) and that's 5 more days. If not he'll be here on the 8th of December and I don't want to count the days anymore. I'll be lost.
For the meantime, I have to while the hour browsing and playing and working just to get my mind off from him.
Day 3
Just in case you're new to this blog and wondering what I am counting for, it's the day dear husband left for a short mission trip somewhere in Malaysia (of course I knew where).
He rang me last night, thank heavens for the goodness of our Ninong's heart. Anyways, he said they have loads of schedule, teaching musical instruments, visiting churches and not visiting auto accessories stores or malls. At the tone of his voice he seems liking it..er loving it actually, and that he even asked me to pray about him extending the stay until the big event which I guess they will play on November 26 and 27.
Guess what I said back? told him am not going to pray for it..hehe..me bad.
I'm sure he will learn a lot from this trip and maybe when he gets back he'll knows best the direction we have to take with regards to us being missionaries.
It's day 3, 8 more days to go.
Tuesday, November 17, 2009
1st Night
9 more nights to go..
I have two lovely girls sleeping in the room with me so it shouldn't be that sad. But honestly I'm missing my husband very much and he will only be away for 10 nights, eleven days.
I can't imagine how hard it must be for a wife or husband to work abroad and leave someone on the other side of the world. I super duper salute you all!!
But I am not as tough as you are.
I do not want this to happen again..and i do hope this short separation will do us good somehow. LEARN.REFLECT.MEDITATE.PLAN
mahal, uwi ka na..hehe! the room is not the same without you. Love you!!!
Separation anxiety?
It's 5:09 AM and I am still awake, why? maybe having separation anxiety, why again? because dear husband is leaving today for a short term mission trip to Malaysia.
For eleven days or ten nights.
I'll start counting the nights tonight and I'll see what stuff I'll do to make the days goes as fast as it can be.
Cheesy as you may say because it's only for eleven days but you see we've never been apart this long since we got married three years ago.
And the thought of sleeping and waking up without him beside is so....well, can not even say the exact word.
I'll be lonely for eleven days for sure.
8 fat fighting foods
Saw this article from shine.yahoo written by Veronica Byrd and thought of sharing it to you also. Although most of them are not on a regular meal here because an average individual like me can't afford it, there are still some that I know we can have on a regular basis like oranges and sweet potatoes.
here they are;
Almonds Almond joy! Dieters who ate 3 ounces of these nuts every day reduced their weight and body-mass index by a solid 18 percent compared with an 11 percent drop in the no-nut group, a study in the International Journal of Obesity found. Almonds are high in alpha-linolenic acid, which can speed the metabolism of fats. Stick to 12 per serving.
Berries Vitamin C–loaded fruit such as strawberries and raspberries can help you sizzle up to 30 percent more fat during exercise, suggests research from Arizona State University at Mesa. Blend a vinaigrette of 1 cup berries and ¼ cup balsamic vinegar.
Cinnamon This spice could make your waistline nice. Sprinkling ¼ teaspoon on your food may prevent a postmeal insulin spike—this increase normally occurs after you eat and “signals the body that it should store fat rather than burn it,” explains Lauren Slayton, R.D., of New York City. Add a dash to your oatmeal, yogurt or coffee.
Mustard Hello, yellow. The spice that gives mustard its color, turmeric, may slow the growth of fat tissues, a study in the journal Endocrinology notes. Eighty-six mayo in favor of any mustard; sprinkle turmeric on cauliflower and roast for a tangy side.
Oranges Prevent pound creep with this citrus star: It contains fat-torching compounds called flavones. Women who ate the most flavones had a significantly lower increase in body fat over a 14-year period, a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition finds. Snack on slices or drink freshly squeezed OJ (with pulp!) for the biggest payback.
Soybeans These green gems are rich in choline, a compound that blocks fat absorption and breaks down fatty deposits. Add ½ cup edamame to a salad.
Sweet potatoes Trade up to sweet taters. They’re high in fiber, which means no drastic insulin jumps and thus less fat packed onto your hips. Bake a small sweet potato—think of two bars of soap as a portion size—and top with a dollop of lowfat or nonfat cottage cheese.
Swiss cheese Holy cow: “Calcium-rich foods reduce fat-producing enzymes and increase fat breakdown,” says Michael B. Zemel, Ph.D., director of the Nutrition Institute at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Put toe to toe with some of its cheesy counterparts, Swiss is a heavy hitter in the calcium department; layer a slice on a lunchtime sandwich, or stack some on high-fiber crackers.
looking for discounts?
There’s another seat sale on going at Cebu Pacific site, this time it’s 50% off from domestic and some international flights. I checked and you can get a round trip ticket to Singapore for only 3800 pesos. But knowing me, I still don’t find it affordable because I’m used to really cheap tickets. Remember our ticket to Macau? That’s less than 500 pesos. And our latest from Cebu cost us only 450 round trips for each person.
Howell, besides from checking cheap flights this morning, I happen to check this site also that offers a lot of nice car accessories, from floor mats to grills, dash kits and many more item. A lot of cars was damaged by the typhoon Ondoy so I hope they can check here and be able to buy with discounts. Who wouldn’t want a discount from everything you buy right? Again, these are hard times and it is best to buy on sale or those who offer discounts.
Hubby is leaving
me for almost two weeks, we prayed about it because I don't want him to go when he first told me this but if it's God's will then let THY will be done.
He'll be joining a group of musicians for a short term mission trip to Malaysia, that's why I've been scouring for cheap flights to Kota Kinabalu but to no avail. I checked Cebu Pacific this afternoon and a round trip ticket cost is at 7,200 something and another 200.00 if you get the travel insurance , forget though if it's travel medical insurance or just an insurance.
Anyways, we didn't book him yet and yes they plan to leave on the 15th. As I ahve said if this is God's will the He will make a way.
Dear John
It’s very seldom that I finished a book in one sitting more so if I read on Sunday evening knowing I have to get up early the following morning but Nicholas Sparks’ “Dear John” was now an exemption. I couldn’t put the book down. And I am not ashamed to tell you that I really cried even long after I put it down. I needed to talk to somebody after reading it so I woke up poor dear husband and told him about it. He seems not surprised though because half awake he managed to ask some questions about it maybe not wanting to disappoint me. :)
It is painful and yet it is beautiful knowing that it is true love. Sacrificing your happiness for the one you cared for. It’s really something.
I wish though that it was a happy ending but then again real life is not all happy ending right?
I can’t wait to see the movie which is set to release on February but I think it will be here March. Can’t get over watching the trailer, it’s like I knew all the scene, the bag falling in the deep water, the rain at the house Savannah was building, Tim’s nose, the letters. I’m sure it is a tearjerker like all Nicholas novel.
Natural cleansing
Do you think you need a colon cleanse and you can't afford the expensive program that most of the colon cleanse reviews you have read? because I know you ave read that a lot of procedure can be done. Well, we can do it the natural way and for my opinion is the safest.
1. Eat a lot of fruits - I am not a fruit person but I try to convince my self to have it even once in my meal per day. I'm sure you have heard how wonderful are the fruits for our body. Don't be like me. eat a lot of fruits if you can.
2. Drink a lot of water- What I do so I won't forget to drink water from time to time is that I get a glass full of water and then put it in my table so even when I don't fele thirsty when I see that glass of water I drink and then refill it when it's done. If you do not drink a lot of water everyone will tell that you have or you will have a problem in the future.
3. Vegetables - broccolli, cabbage, garlics and a lot more. You can have a vegetable diet (which i tried for one week) and I must say it was good but I work everyday and I feel hungry and of course we still need
4. Fibers - so don't forget to include that in your everyday meal too.
Our elctricity bill
I don't want to sound as if I am complaining (but I admit I do) because it's also my desire to get /move to a place we can call our home, it's been three months now, we are enjoying it b ut n ot the bills that comes with it. hehe! I don't know why our electricity bill is so high well in fact we don't have air conditioning unit naman. Times like this I wished we had looked for apartments for rent that are way cheaper. But as I have said, I want this and so I just have to work hard for it.
Would you know any tips on how to cut down on electricity bill? I think it's the water pump that gives us that head ache. Now I am thinking if we can get away with that pump.
At the house, we have fridge, 3 electric fans (but we only get to used them when we're home,mostly on evenings) a TV -we don't watch TV shows so often too, 1 laptop for Andrew and Carmel and 1 desktop for us, a rice cooker and a washing machine, we do the laundry once a week . Our bill last month was 1,900 while last September it was only 1,400. I just hope it will not go up na this month.
Our balloon works
Without any formal training, we can now make balloon arch, pillars, flower balloon, ceiling balloon and others :) So if you are looking for a very cheap (as in really inexpensive) balloon decor just message me!!!
balloon pillar from baby Caley's dedication
this we made for our boss's birthday last July at Rockwell
arch for our praisin kid's town event
(my first try-sample only)
I enjoy doing this so I wanted to make this a real home base business, hopefully one of us, either hubby or me can attend a formal training soon. And of course we have also now a chocolate fountain. I just do not know how am I going to handle this because I still have a regular day job, I do my online work at night and here's another work mostly on weekend, I don't think I don't need to go on diet with the stuff I and will do but have to watch it still.
Again, for those who want a very affordable balloon decor for your christmas parties or any events just send me a message. :)
Learn. Compare. Save
Short and simple but good for us if we do that. I got it actually from a website that offers Medicare supplement. And I thought it is very much applicable not only in shopping and buying things we need but in some areas of our lives also.
Like when I go to grocery store, I learn (read) what is written on the label, nutrition facts or ingredients then I compare it to cheaper brand and then knowing that it is the same then I’ll buy the cheap one, so I Save.
Sure it takes time but it’s worth it. Every penny saved is important and it is still savings. Every cents count. I used to say that to dear husband so often now he gets it and when I do buy something that is a little bit pricey than we used to, he’ll remind me of that.
So guys..
Learn. Compare and Save
SALE SEASON
Sale season is here!! As in everywhere I go I see a "SALE" sign on most of the establishments, Sigh, if only I have extra money I'll start buying those Christmas gifts na, ToysRUs in cash and carry is on sale up to 70% off and I found some good stuff when I went to look yesterday, unfortunately it will last only 'till November 8.
But I'm still hoping I can go to Bench warehouse sale this year, according to my yahoo group it's worth going to. I plan to buy the gifts for my big nephews there and some friends.
Even in the internet, sale is everywhere from clothes to shoes and even breeches, books and many more.
In this time of year, you would think you really need money so you can shop while items are on sale.
Again, if I am only rich.
Christmas decor
We're putting on Christmas decors soon!! and I can't wait, as I have said in my other blog, I'm excited because this will be the first time in this apartment. We will use most of our old decors from the previous year but I think we need to buy Christmas outdoor lights.
I hope we can do that this weekend which I only hope because we have one children's party to attend too this Saturday.
I don't want to say I am busy because I know I can find time for it.
I'm thinking of what colors would be nice this Christmas, I had blue and silver when I first had my tree. Would you think green and gold would be nice? or red and gold?
..no matter what you do, life is not perfect
...we always have a choice
good marriage doesn't mean they don't argue or fight...
it's ok to cry..especially when you feel like it, you need it. (been crying since last week)
and don't forget to laugh too and smile
whatever situation we have..bad or worst or whatever..remember that "this too shall pass"
NEVER, NEVER keep your anger inside..let go, find an outlet, release it..but don't bottled it..sooner or later..it will explode if you do that.
learn to forgive...
and to FORGET.
Order fulfillment
I'm sure if you are a client you, you only look for one thing from your supplier. It's order fulfillment to the utmost and best. Otherwise you will not go back to that supplier again.
That I wish to deliver. Unfortunately we failed on our first client good thing it's my cousin..hehe! but nonetheless it doesn't give me the excuse to not deliver to what we have talked about.
Who knows setting up that chocolate fountain on that event would be so hard? While in fact we did it before and it goes well smoothly and just fine.
I hope we can have that mission : to deliver to client what they ordered surpassing their expectation.
Well, we are just starting and we still have a long way to go. We learn through our experiences.
Signal # 2
According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Service Administration or the infamous PAGASA weather bureau, Metro Manila is now placed under signal #2 as well as its neighboring provinces. Right now there is no rain and wind but the sky is gloomy.
But I have to decide soon. You see, we have a major major activity for our Urban Poor Kids ministry tomorrow (mini carnival) but if the weather is bad we have to postponed it. I don't want to risk some 150 kids getting soak in rain or if worst comes to worst stranded in our hands if ever.
Safety and health of the kids comes first. So I guess I really have to cancel the activity tomorrow.
Waaah..so that means calling all the suppliers and re-scheduling everything.
Anyways, before I do that, I'll have to check the bcbsnc or if you do not know what it is , it's the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® just so I can have comparison. Our office use Blue Cross here and I have also inquired for me and my husband also.
Going back to the weather, it is still not raining..
What shall I do?
It's long weekend!!
I am looking forward for a long weekend tomorrow and although my Saturday will still be full because of Praisin Kids town activity, still I am giddily happy I don't have to wake up early on Monday morning!!
Who doesn't love long weekend? Ask all the corporate slaves like me and they will answer in unison for sure. I know need a rest. I've been working like a horse the whole week, maybe the boss thinks I have four hands and four heads. I was literally typing like mad for a couple of days. I need a break.
Next week will be all work again which is bad because I know I have to find time to go to Pag-ibig and SSS office to secure a new ID. I heard there's a long line in both offices now a days because a lot are filing for calamity loans r some people maybe filing for disability appeal, whatever I hope I can finish that task next week. Have to remind my self also that hubby has to go with me so he can transfer his status to voluntary contribution.
But let us think of that next week. For now I will just look forward for the long weekend.
Be blessed everyone!
Am I?
You Are A Good Friend
You're always willing to listen to your friends.
And you're the first to lend a shoulder to cry on.
You're there through thick and thin. You won't stop being friends with someone when times are tough.
In fact, you're such a good friend that many people consider you their "best friend"!
I'm flattered :)
