Subic Beach

It's confirmed, we're going on Sunday Afternoon and will stay overnight.
Although, we still don't have the specific place to go to. As of now,we are still looking for cheap accommodation that is very near the beach, probably one big house that will fit us all. I wonder if we will be needing some appetite suppressant because I'm sure there will be lots of foods!

Have not been into any of Subic beaches and that makes me more excited. Though Last December we spent our new year at Anawangin Cove in Zambales which is very near Subic.I hope I would love this one too.

So far we have three options.

All hands beach
Sunset Cove or
By the sea resort

But whatever or wherever I don't care because I'm sure it's gonna be fun fun fun!

It's Monday again :(

Actually it's still Sunday night but I in few hours it will be office day again. But then again I know I have reasons to be happy too because next next Monday will be a holiday!! Whoooo! Nothing can beat a holiday on Monday. I know you working moms out there know what I mean.

So how was my weekend?

Well, I am so glad this weekend was not that busy as I was expecting. The plan of going to Divisoria was canceled so I just stayed home yesterday.

But this afternoon, right after the worship service and lunch,we went out with our friend J-mie and Vhon. I miss going out to the mall but I didn't realize that not until we were there at the Mall of Asia. Believe me, we have never been to MOA probably since last quarter of 2007. And I still don't find it appealing unless you're going there to buy something you need. We went to Our Home section and saw some good furnitures and a nice tv stand at a very good price. It's not that far but it is still not convenient enough for us to go to more often.

After Moa we visited Nicole in Alabang our cute goddaughter. We missed her so much :) Am so glad to see her again.

There goes our weekend. Monday is yet to come but I am looking forward now to next weekend because as I have said it's a long weekend and we will go to the beach!!! Exciting!!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Extra income for Vitamin C

Fern C has been the talk of the town or office rather for the past few days. Why? because someone gave a seminar regarding Fern C. I'm sure you have heard about it and most likely tried it. They say it's not just your ordinary Vitamin C but according to them it can also be a cure to some diseases such as diabetes or asthma and many more.(have yet to do my own research)

So after all the talks and praises about that vitamin, I am encouraged now to try it too and not only that, because I am thinking I'll be likely buying for me and hubs, why not then be a seller and have some extra income. Honestly I think this one is much easier to sell than Vitaplus which I am currently drinking now.

Just recently they launch the second product which is Fern slim. I guess this is weight loss pills and it's included in the package you get when you become a seller.

What do you think? would it be a wise decision? trying to be healthy and earning extras with that, but of course I know I still have to exert effort to be able to make some sales.

Anyone wants to buy? Just message me. I'll give you discounts promise. :)

We need a new bed frame

I listed in one of my posts below some of our home stuff wish list when we move out and also I said its all wants and not needs but now something has changed. We now need a new bed frame, our old one which was only handed to us is now broken and we need a replacement. Would anyone of you know how much is the cost of bed frames now here in Manila? I really have no idea. I don’t need a super elegant one a cheap but sturdy one will do.

I hope we can find ways to set aside a budget for it. These are tough days for us. We are facing some serious financial needs because of the house rent and then here comes another one. Sigh. I wish I am rich enough to buy all I want.

Anyways, I thought of browsing the net for bed frames and see what I have got here. This is so nice no? pero nice to look at lang. *~*

Thoughts on insurance

Educational Plan, pension Plan, Medical Insurance and so on and so forth, a lot of these kinds have been offered to me from one agent to another. I even chanced upon this free term life insurance quotes but up to this time, haven’t had anything yet. I thought so much about getting some medical insurance because I know we can get sick whether we like it or not, but the recent economic slide down made me think more than twice about it.

I wonder how many Filipinos are insured and I wonder too if we really can hold on to that insurance. I mean we do not know what the future holds, you may or you may not be able to use it if ever.

Nevertheless, it is best to be insured “up there”. I hope you guys know what I mean. It is best to know we are sure of where we are going to when we leave this world.

Happy Graduation Ryan!

I just came back this afternoon from Bulacan. I attended my eldest nephew's graduation. He graduated with an award and I just have to be there. I was there when he graduated from pre-school and I was there with him practically with all the important happenings in his life. He's entering high school soon and I am so proud of him.

I remember when I graduated from elementary way back (let's just forget the date ok) . I don't know if we even had some foods as handa, it was like an ordinary day to us, no fuss. It's so different now. My sister made it so special she really prepared something for us to feast on. See these foods?
Ryan, you just finished the first step and it is still a long journey. I hope and pray you continue to value your education. High school is a lot different from elementary but I know you can make it. I love you anak. I will just be here for you.

For the mean time, got to go and start dropping EC's now. I heard some good news from them last week and I hope it is true. And i still have to do that insurance quote on my task list.

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

Finally! My starbucks planner

is here :)

We got it yesterday. I waited for 3 months for this planner, that makes it special now aside from the fact that it's my first ever starbucks planner. Hubby was more excited when he received the text saying we can now claim it. And to make up for their customers, the planner came with a black bag and a treat card, you can get your second cup of coffee free if you use that. When we reserved and surrendered my card they gave us a voucher too which is still unused until now. So I guess I'm seeing a starbucks date with hubby soon :) Wish they have something like home theatre seating, perfect for a coffee date.

So, does it worth the wait? well, no of course because it's almost end of March. But yes in a way that I love the pages of it. I just hope they'll provide it earlier next time.

House for Rent

We’re still house hunting.

Hubby saw one yesterday that is very near to where we reside now, we checked on it this morning but I didn’t see the inside. Hubby said it has 2 rooms upstairs. Called the phone number posted in front and ask for the rental fee. Its 12 thousand pesos for a month and they need 3months deposit and one month advance. I don’t think we can afford that.

The one we saw last week is cheaper, it’s only 12 thousand per month, it has 3 rooms and they only ask for one month advance and one month deposit.Only I did not like the place it self. But hubby liked it na. We will still try to find a better one for the weeks to come. After all we have at least a month or so to move out.

All these changes gives me anxieties and worries but I am trusting God. In fact he encouraged me even more yesterday by giving me Psalm 23.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”

"He maketh me lie down in green pastures"

“ He leadeth me beside the still waters”

“He restoreth my soul”

….I know the Lord will lead us.

Macau Part 3-Grand Lisboa

It’s been a month already and I am not yet done with our Macau-Hongkong trip posts. Shame on me. Here’s the Part 3 and hope this is the last.

Here’s more of the picture during our last night in Macau, we went to Grand Lisboa hotel and it is really G-R-A-N-D.

The handcrafted displays are oh so beautiful!

medyo dark nga lang ang picture.here’s another one.

And here, posing sa entrance ng old Lisboa which is in front lang naman din nung Grand Lisboa.

We had dinner (courtesy of Vhon) also sa Thai restaurant that is near sa hotel namin. The food is good but it is so spicy.
The morning after, we headed to Hongkong via Ferry. Fare is 140 MOP. And travel time is approximately one hour.

So I guess I’ll make a separate post for our Hongkong sidetrip.

Stay tuned.

You can see the Part 1 here and PArt 2 here.

Praying specific need

We are readying ourselves now for the move. Hubby said we have to find a place before June. So the house hunt is on again. Last night we decided to be specific in what to ask from the Lord in prayer so we said, “Lord, we need a house to rent that is near Makati or in Makati because we still want to be near the church and my work. We need a house that has space for Rudolf’s t-shirt printing.” Probably with two bedrooms but even one bedroom will do.”

I know soon we’ll find it.

And with that, I’ve been thinking of stuff we will need. Living in the mission’s house is somehow living in your comfort zone. And moving out means we have to pay for everything now. House bill such as electricity, water, cable, phone and so on. We need all the extra income now. I hope hubby can take any jobs in IT out there.

Plus we have to buy new household necessities. The need is overwhelming but I am excited. It’s like we’re newly wed again. It’s like we’re starting to build a “home” for us again.

God has been faithful to us in our 3 years of stay in the mission’s house. And true enough, I remember the Lord told me when we arrived there the first day after our wedding vacation, that we will be living there for 3 years. That’s exactly 3 years in May 1.

God is amazing and He does amazing things to bless us and teach us.

SF- From the moving cab

I snapped these photos one morning on my way to office. I rarely bring my camera during weekdays especially in the office so I took the opportunities to shoot (yes ,even the cab is moving) when I had the chance. Notice the reflection from the cab's glass window? But nevertheless, still have beautiful clear blue sky photos.

Ten Guidelines From God

Effective Immediately, please be aware that there are changes YOU need
to make in YOUR life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill My promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. Please, follow
these 10 guidelines .

1. QUIT WORRYING:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here
to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little
thing that comes your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY
to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn
it over to Me. And although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care
of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

3. TRUST ME:
Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My list. Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster? For My sake, put it on My list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE:
Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think
I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy.. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control.. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I want you to
include Me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends
and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs... You only have to trust Me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you.. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in
only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress
like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake.. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for
one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me.
Don't ever forget......

It's official

We’re moving.

Hubby made it final yesterday. So it is now known to many that we are moving out of the center and he (hubby) is resigning from being a full time staff of the church.

We’ve actually discuss this two nights ago and then he made known he’s decision to people concern the morning after.

Well, I asked him about our directions, his goals for us, where are we going? What ministries are we keeping and so on and so forth.

I am pretty satisfied to what he said.

But I’ll be plastic If I tell you I am not a bit afraid of these upcoming changes.

Right now, we’re still looking for a place to rent. We only have two months left.

I’m afraid yet I take this chance to stretch my faith. God promised us to supply all our needs and I am sure payment for the rent and all is included with that.

He will provide for our missions trips and for everything we will be needing.
Who knows, He might be treat us pa to Argentina travel someday?

God is good. All the time.

Family Reunion

We went home to province yesterday to attend a special occasion. Family reunion which was also known to us as "Pabasa". This happens every year but for each year a different family host the said occasion and for this year we've been assigned or scheduled to host. It's a cycle amongst the ten siblings of my grandfather so we do hosting every ten years. It's a tradition we younger generation would want to keep so I did not want to miss it. Here are some of the pictures :)

presenting family representative :)

some of the good food sad that I was not able to taste them all because I satisfied myself with the "buro" and steamed eggplant which I missed so much :)

enjoying the food

singing and cousins

I plan to make a special blog about it and I am also aiming to do a detailed family tree trhough that blog :) wish I could really pull it.

SF- Trees

This is one of my favorite photos taken during our four day vacation in Anawangin Cove, Zambales City last year. And as of this moment I am missing the place terribly. I miss the sand and the beach. I miss the pine trees. An officemate of mine went there last February and said there are a lot of campers, as in the campsites are crowded. I am thankful that when we went there, there were only few people and we even had the day and night when we were left alone. It was so serene and so quiet.

This one was taken while I was resting at a hammock.

PCOS and EXERCISE

Improve Your Self Image with Exercise

What are you doing in terms of exercise?

Exercise is a crucial component of your personal program for gaining the upper hand over PCOS.
We've spoken before about how important exercise is for controlling insulin and balancing your hormones and metabolism.

Here we'd like to discuss how exercise relates to how you feel about yourself. Many of you have
told us that you are unhappy or depressed about how your body looks, especially if you are
overweight or suffer from acne or hirsutism.

And some of you have told us that in spite of exercise, you had difficulty losing weight and gave
up your exercise program.

Recent medical research indicates that regardless of whether you lose weight or not, you should
continue to exercise. Why? Because you will feel better about yourself.

This study was conducted by the University College London. Thirty five overweight women
with PCOS were put on a program of brisk walking for six months.

After six months, the women reported significantly improved feelings about their bodies, even though they didn't lose much wei.ght.

Bottom Line:
If you consistently exercise, you will feel much better about yourself. Make it a lifetime habit. It
will pay huge dividends in terms of your health and self-image.

Let's go to Baguio please

I don't know but I've been thinking of going to Baguio lately. I think it's been 4 years since my last visit.

And I am wanting to go to Baguio this Holy Week. Sad that it's peak season and tourist from everywhere swamps Baguio at this time, everyone wants a colder temperature in the midst of the summer heat. And because it's peak season everything is set to higher cost lalo na hotel rates.hay!

If I have the money I will still go. I still have to discuss this with hubby but I'm sure he'll agree if the church will give them free time too on that dates and if money will not be a problem of course. Considering we spent a lot with our Macau-Hongkong trip.

If not this holy week, maybe we can go on our anniversary which is on April 21. That's a good reason to go.

I'll use all my efforts and talents to search for cheap but nice place to stay in there, after all I'm beginning to be an expert in doing super budget trips. Naks!

Our MACAU trip -Part 2

Day 2- February 10

We woke up early because we don't want to miss the breakfast at 7-8 AM.

Part of our daily breakfast. Though it's pretty much the same for 3 days I still love it.

And then conference time again from 9 Am to 1 PM. Picture taking with all the attendees as the speaker will be leaving the next day. I had a great time at the conference. It's so nice to hear insights and testimonies from East Asia missionaries.

After the morning session, we then again went out to explore more of Macau. We had lunch at this small canteen near the market and yes we had some hard time ordering and paying again. talk about language barrier.

And then we walk to Guia lighthouse and Guia fort.

We we're actually just looking for the cable car station but we end up climbing that hill to Guia lighthouse. The cable car experience which was very very short.

After that, we went to Sands hotel just to see how they differ from other hotels and casinos there. Just across the Sands hotel is the Fisherman's wharf. There are restaurants here and a lot of stores too.
We then head back to our hotel for the buffet dinner and for the evening session of the conference.

Part 3 -coming up!

CHANGE

I know I need a CHANGE but I also dreaded it.

Change is inevitable. So I guess I have to accept it.

Or at least I have to ready myself for it.

Changes in environment, changes in lifestyle, and changes of people you talk to almost everyday of your life.

I’m counting the days. Me and hubby are counting the days and yes, we’re afraid but we can’t wait for the CHANGE.

We just need to trust GOD that this is HIS perfect will for us.

2 more months to go and we’re moving on and out.
