Home Sweet Home

I know I wanted one even before I got married and I am not giving up on that dream. I know someday I’ll be decorating my own house, furnishing my own bedroom, cleaning my very own kitchen. Saw some custom homes from Schumacher Homes Louisiana and I was impressed by their designs and I am dreaming of home like of those. The quality and the space, I love it!

During our trip to Pangasinan last Saturday, my sister told me about cheap houses for sale in their area again and honestly I was like yes, you go and find one for me. As if I could afford it right now but who knows? Not that I am not enjoying my stay in this special house of ours anymore but I guess it is not bad to wish for something you want for yourself right?

See the fireplace? and the high windows?
Reminds me of the house we stayed in when we were in Sagada. Nice!!

10 secrets to happy marriage

1. God has you here to serve one another. Love acted out is serving.

2. Women need respect and nurturing. Love your wife so she knows you’d lay your life down for her. Continue to date her and admire her. Share a hobby - find something you can do to have fun together.

3. Laugh often.

4. Be patient. Love crumbles quickly under the weight of unmet expectations.

5. Spend more time trying to fix ourself than your spouse.

6. Keep short accounts. The Bible says, “Do not let the sun go down while you are angry.” Make it a habit to forgive.

7. Determine upfront that divorce is not an option.

8. Learn about love languages. Not all people show love or receive it the same way. You want a back rub and your spouse wants a clean kitchen. The love languages are fairly simple: acts of service, time, physical touch, gifts, and words of affirmation. Learn them. Love is better received when it’s in the language that person speaks.

9. Words of affirmation are a love language for all men.

10. Men are born to be leaders. He cannot lead unless she gives him the confidence to do so. If you love your husband, build him up. Confident men do not seek love outside the home.

I survived

the Monday

I thought I was going to give up in the middle of the afternoon but I managed to stay and finished all the important stuff I have to finish.
It was not a nice day because I really don’t feel well but Praise God I made it.
I was planning to go home around 3 or 4 PM but actually went home at around past 7. Talk about wanting to rest.

And I promise myself not to overdo it again and not to miss another Sunday Worship again, I think it makes me more even weak. Missing one Sunday worship is bad how much more missing two? Tsk..tsk..

Going to Tagaytay on Saturday morning and then off to Pangasinan on the evening with barely an hour of rest is really not a good idea.

And yes, I was there at my nephew’s dedication and 1st birthday celebration but it’s as if I was not there at all. I slept till 11:00 AM because I just can’t bring my self to wake up, so they went to church without me and to think I’m one of the godparents.

The only consolation I got was the happiness of seeing your whole family complete, all my siblings and all my nephews and nieces were there. It was chaotic but the feeling that you have a closely knitted family is something too.

I have been trying to upload pictures but to no avail and I don’t need another stress so I’ll post it when I have much time and I’m well rested. Goodnight people!

Off to Tagaytay today

That's why I'm up as early as 5:00 AM this morning, well, not really to prepare for the trip but also to do some hops before leaving because I see a busy weekend again.

we will be going to Tagaytay at 7 AM today, probably be back home late afternoon and then will be off to Pangasinan naman at around 10 PM. See? I told yah.I'll have a busy weekend and will be out of the internet world until Sunday.

So before I vanish here I'll do more blog visits as many as I can now.

enjoy your weekend everyone! and please visit "made to worship" to see pictures of our recently concluded Praisin Kid's town activity for the less fortunate kids :)

Free prople search

Do you have long lost friends or relatives living in the US or in Canada? Do you want to get in touch with them but don’t know how? Don’t you worry anymore, there is a site where you can search for address and phone number and don’t think that you’ll be paying much because it is absolutely free. This is free people search engine and it is so cool. I tried typing a name of friend who lives in Georgia and yup in a few seconds the address and the phone number appeared. As of this time though, they only support searches in the US and in Canada. Hoping they’ll expand soon. It’s very useful because we don’t have to bother someone anymore asking for phone numbers all you need is an internet connection and presto you’ll be talking to that long lost friend of your soon. Another wonders from the internet world.

Thankful Thursday

♥ I want to thank God for the wonderful retreat of the music ministry yesterday. Thank you for the nice weather, they said there was a typhoon coming but when we reached our retreat place, there was only drizzle and the weather is just perfect.
♥ Thank God for the worshipful heart He has given to all of us in the music team, thank you for the sense of commitment these young men and women. I am so thankful for the support they are giving my husband as he leads this ministry. We were so deeply touched and so encouraged.
♥ Thank you for the provisions again for the retreat, everyday we walk by faith and everyday HE is showing us how much HE cares for us. Thank you for the safe travel and for that fun day.
♥ I also want to thank God for some people He is using to bless us.
- Pastor Jonie-our new music ministry overseer. He is indeed an encouragement for the group.
- J-mie, she heads the Children of Hope ministry and she is a very good friend, Just last night she brought us yummy dinner and it was really on time because I was dead tired and can’t even get my self up to cook us dinner.

- To friends who stayed and was never swayed by any circumstances.

♥ Thank God for everything!!!!

Let's find out

I know how annoying it is to get phone calls from all the telemarketers out there. You see? I do answer calls for my two bosses and it is likely impossible for me for the whole day that I don’t get call from them. I have been polite, mad and sometimes angry of those callers but I can’t totally blame them.I admit though that there are those whose charms you can't resist.

But if you do you live in the US? Do you know that you can block unwanted and unsolicited calls from telemarketers? Yes, by registering your phone number to National No Call Registry. And you can even Find Out Who Called You. That’s so neat right? I mean when you have that kind of service I’m sure you’ll spend less time answering unwanted phone calls.

Coffee Break 1.38

This week's topic is :

And it got me thinking of weird names I know or I ever encountered, I will try to remember all those funny names but as Jan mentioned in her blog this post has no intention of insulting people or place. our apologies indeed.

When I was in college I know there is a girl whose surname is Bay-ag, she's from Ifugao that's why. I have a nephew from my first cousin whose name is NIWALUM - that's MULAWIN when read backwards. Obvious that it came from the telenovela Mulawin of GMA. From college also, I remember a co-student assistant whose nickname is R, he has a twin brother whose nickname is U, they said they also have 2 more brothers with D and Y as nicknames. Thier father's nickname is RUDY, they were all named after the father yata which is Rodolfo. So unique no?

That's all I can remember for now but for sure there are more. I'll edit this na lang as soon as I heard new unique name. For the meantime I'll go and pack up for things I will bring to Pansol tommorrow. I should not forget hubby's eyeglasses and my sunglasses as well though I heard it might rain and it's gonna be cloudy tommorrow.

For more funny names visit Jan's site.
