better to be safe than sorry

Have you ever experienced being lost in the mall or in the buildings? Or have you ever had hard time figuring out where to go, what floor you are in? That usually happens when there are no visible signages. Worst thing is when you are trying to get out and yet cannot find your way out because there are no exit signs at all.

I remember the disco tragedy happened few years ago, a fire broke on this full packed disco house, there were lots of newly graduate high school students celebrating their graduation day. They said that there could have been more survivors if there were only big and visible exit sign. Unfortunately, the people inside do not know any emergency exit and that is very sad.

Today, whenever I go to movie houses I make sure I know where the emergency exit is and that if ever something wrong happened I’ll know exactly where to go. The husband says I am paranoid but It is better to be ready than to be caught off guard right?

Life's exit signs

How I wish we could see the exit signs in our life immediately when we are in trouble and so we could just get out from the mess we are in. Or don’t you wish you know where exactly the EXIT SIGNS when you sense you’re gonna be in tough phase in your life? How we wish life is that easy, but I know it is not.

I’ve been too many tough times and most of the time I find my self really at lost and do not know where to go but you know what? I always manage to get out of it, not to my sole credit but of course it is because of the help I get from above.

You know you yourself don’t have to see the exit signs when you are in hard times but if you will let Him, God will show you the way out, He will guide you in every step until you finally find your self free from that stage. We just need to completely trust Him, surrender to Him and know that He is in control of our every situation.

So next time you find your self in tough times like I do now, do not try so hard to look for the exit sign but ask God to lead you out and always remember the lesson you have learned along the way.

Have a nice day everyone!

Exit signs

How important is the exit sign for you? When you enter a certain premises do you look for it and make sure you knew it before settling? Or are you the type who doesn’t care that much about where those exit signs are.

I used to be complacent about it also but there have been a lot of tragedies I heard over the past that made me paranoid about it. One that is forever etched in my memory is the Ozone disco tragedy that claimed a lot of lives, most of them just about to graduate from high school. Had there been many exit doors and EXIT SIGNS visible that night there have been more lives spared.

And how can I forget the big earthquake of 199? I was there in Nueva Ecija at that time and was supposed to meet a friend from that school building that collapse and trapped a lot of college students. So I guess it is understandable that I am bit paranoid about it.

Now, when I go to movie houses I make sure I know where to exit and how to do it quickly just in case something bad happen. I make sure I saw it before sitting down and enjoying the movie. Recently a friend of ours moved into a condominium type of apartment too and the very first thing I noticed was that the fire exit was locked and she doesn’t have the key, so I told her it shouldn’t be that way. You see? I am indeed very vigilant about exit signs.

But of course I know that I cannot stop any bad incidents from happening. Even if I do all the necessary precautions and all if it is meant to happen then it will be.

But I still believe that the most important thing to know is that whatever happened to you whether you are inside a building or out there playing under the sun, you know you are safe in God’s hands and that you have entrusted your life HIM. And if He is taking your life at any moment you know where you’re heading to.
