Need Internet at HOME!!

Today and yesterday and the last day..and will have no internet till I don't know when!!
So bear with me If I do only few bloghops a day. I miss my farm :( I miss harvesting and playing bejeweled game.

I wish I could do that here in the office. :)

The one I am going to talk about is another wonder from the internet world. There are too many now, can’t count them on my fingers anymore. It never existed before where the only communication people knew is through writing letters and verbal, and then came the telephone. And the technology as we all knew didn’t stop with the telephone, and then came the beepers, the cell phones, and now the internet call.

I used to wonder how the telephone was invented and how it works, I stop wondering now how we can make phone calls through internet and how it works. All I know is that it makes life lighter and easier especially when you have family from a distance.

Now, we can not only make calls through internet but you can actually do Voice Broadcasting. It is the newest telecommunication method where you can broadcasts your phone messages simultaneously to hundreds of recipients. No not only to hundreds but to thousands of people actually. That’s like real broadcasting with a much cheaper cost.

Myvoicedialing.com is the site where you can do that, they also offer robo calls for political organizations. I guess politicians can take advantage of this if they want to win. And they do a lot more telemarketing jobs.

I wonder what’s going to be next in the internet world. Let’s wait and see.

Even inmate records?

Last week, there was news of a local jailbreak here. I know some of the inmates surrendered but some are still at large. I never heard nor read the names though. In the United States you can do inmate search through internet, again any records you want to look up to, you can find it in the net. Marriage certificate, death certificates, courts records, phone numbers or whatever record you can think of it’s there in the tip of your fingers.

I actually tried one of these services last week and yes I found a friend’s address and their phone number in Georgia.

Thank God it's Monday

So happy it’s Monday!

I know most of us slaves…uhmn.. employees hate Monday because we want to stay late in bed, we don’t wanna wake up so early in the morning and we always always wish it’s still Sunday right?

But it’s different for me today, since yesterday I’ve been waiting for Monday to come and yes for the record I am not late today. Clap.clap.clap.

You see, all of the blogging task written below this post were not accomplished this weekend, our computer at home for reasons only my husband knows crashed and I couldn’t turn it on, so I’m computer less the whole weekend. And I’ve been thinking of all the task I have yet to accomplished, that’s why I came early today at the office.

I promise to do bloghops and drop entrecard in between breaks but for the meantime it’s time to do some office works and financial reporting at the same time.

My DSL Dilemma

To apply or not to apply. I know I don’t need another monthly bill to pay but I need internet connection at least when I most need it. I wasn’t able to blog yesterday at the office and even when I got home. That triggers my desire to have my own internet line.

I called up PLDT this morning and it said 2-3 weeks after receipt of job order. And of course the hassle of going to their business office and securing all the requirements.

Now I’m having second thought, should we get hub na lang? or buy a router? A friend of mine is offering a used cisco router, because she’s buying a new one. I don't wanna spend too much on router and hub and then will find myself applying for new connection after few months.sayang.

Need to decide on this soon. I’m just amazed how internet has become necessity for me now.

One thing I’ll never forget and regret is joining an online community of brides to be. Weddings at Work really helped me a lot on our wedding preparation and not only that I gained some online friends where you talk about common things and concerns. And of course after that moving to Newlyweds at work is another wonderful thing made possible by the Internet. I learned and still learning a lot in the internet world, as of today I have at least hundreds of blogger friends whom I share my everyday life, and it doesn’t matter where they are as long as there is an internet connection, we’re connected. I have friends on the internet that inspired me a lot to do better.

I think not only it made wonders to our social life but to other aspects of our lives too. Technology now a day is so advanced that you can practically do everything online. You can buy stuff on line, you can do grocery on line, you can sell goods online, you can do meetings and conferences on line, you can book a hotel or resort online, you can do bank transactions on line, you can even get insurance quotes online. The list is endless. But let us not forget that the list of risks is endless too.
