Small business-Online payment

As you all know my dear readers, me and my husband have small part time business that gives us extra earnings from time to time. I am praying that next year, this will not be part time anymore but I am wishing it will be the major source of our income. It is not easy but we are slowly getting there. Printing and party organizing will be our bread and butter soon. I am keeping the faith and my hopes high here.

As I have said it is not easy, but then again, every successful business started from small and they didn’t start with a breeze. For now, we are still struggling with finances and the capital but we are coping up. I am learning and it’s good.

I have now made contact with different suppliers and most of them I’m dealing online, so internet is one major part of the business. And I keep on searching for easy payment solutions when it comes to paying. I prefer paying online because it’s faster and hassle free. There are many online payment mode or banking type now over the net and it is really an advantage to those who have businesses. One supplier I met does not accept online payment so it’s quite hard to order with them because it means I still have to go out and deposit to their bank account. Waste of time I should say but it’s how it goes for them.

Anyways, I really wish for our small business to thrive and grow next year.

Promoting your business

Thinking of other ways to promote your business? Besides going online and making facebook page or a multiply page for your business you can also distribute brochures in malls or in any public areas for your prospective clients who do not have an access to Internet all the time. You may also insert it to a newspaper which is far cheaper than actually advertising in the newspaper itself.

Other ways to distribute your brochure are to insert in cars on the parking areas. You can also have door hangers and hang them on hotels/apartelles/hostels.

As early as now, I am already doing research on how can we promote our small business. Marketing it right will bring us clients and therefore bringing us income.

Putting up the small business

Yes, we are seriously planning to finally put up the printing business soon. Our goal is to have the small printing machines before this year ends. And also finish the paper work few months from now. I have already filled-up the DTI application online and there is still a lot of stuff to do before we can say we’re going full blast next year. I do not know if we need business credit reports for the application of licenses though.

I am trying not to loan anything for this business but if we feel we need too I might try but of course I am trying to be positive.

And I know for this business to succeed, we need to focus and devote our time so I guess it would be the time I'll finally be leaving the corporate world. To which I am sure I will not miss.

Nasi Goreng with Pinoy twist

Nasi goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" in Indonesian and Malay, can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice, a meal including fried rice accompanied with other items, or a more complicated fried rice, typically spiced with tamarind and chilli and including other ingredients, particularly egg and prawns. (wikipedia)

We finally ventured into a a home base food business. And as will see in the pictures below, it is somewhat "rice in a bowl" type of food, our difference only is that we serve Nasi Goreng with special nasi goreng flavorings from Malaysia. We added some pinoy twist though by topping it with all time favorite pinoy food such as adobo, porkchop and fried chicken.

We are just starting and it's a good start. I feel we can go a long way with this business. Food is a necessity and with our super affordable price.I know we can make it!!

Nasi Goreng with Adobong Baboy
Nasi Goreng with Fried Chicken
Nasi Goreng with Longganisang Vigan
Nasi Goreng with  Lumpiang Shanghai
Nasi Goreng with Porck Chop
Nasi Goreng with Beef Tapa
Nasi Goreng with Embutido

Each bowl is priced for only 39.00!!!!!!!!!
Order na!

DTI BUSINESS REGISTRATION

Our next move is to register our printing business to DTI or Department of Trade and Industry. This where you register a business if it sole proprietorship. I searched the website and the internet on how to register and here's what I found.

1. Go to nearest DTI office near you
2. Fill up application form
3. Pay the registration fee

You will need your TIN Number, 2x2 picture and prepare at least 3 to 5 choices for your business name.
Good thing there is only minimal requirements and that they don't require bpi certification so I guess hubby can do it in a day.

After the DTI registration, we will then apply a Mayors Permit and then the BIR so we can have the Official receipts printed.

Now, we are talking serious business. I'm quite afraid but I am excited.

T-shirt and Money matters

We sold plenty of shirts yesterday at the church. Mostly are the ones we designed especially for the church anniversary. And we also got a lot of positive response regarding hubby’s design. I couldn’t be more thankful. I am really praying that this business will flourish and that the income we get from it will suffice for our daily needs. If that happens then I would have peace leaving this day job of mine.

Although I still need more income to be able to help our families. A brother in law is asking for a support for his studies and I have old parents whom we are supporting too.

With all that expenses, I don’t think we can buy ourselves life insurance policy which I have been aiming since the day I started working. And I don't think we can travel for leisure for the next few years.

Well, if God will make our tshirt printing business a success, i don't see any reason for us not to travel. :)

Working at home: Printing t-shirts

I did not report to work today because of lot of pending jobs at home. As I have said, our small silk screen printing business is slowly picking up and we have pending and I felt the need to help hubby finish it on time.  I wish I work in Consonus company or any company where I can do my work at home so that I do not need to absent in case emergency arises at home. Good thing my boss is very understanding or I don't know maybe he's planning to kick me out in due time which I hope not until our small business is already stable.

Anyways, we just finish printing and we will resume after a few minutes. This is the second batch for today. More printing work tomorrow.
