sleeping late again...

I’ve been sleeping late again..last night I slept at past 1 AM, the other night around 2 AM and last Tuesday night past 3 AM. And to think I woke up everyday at around 7:00 Am. I have regular office hour from 8:30 Am to 6:30 PM.

I know I have sleeping disorder, I am an insomniac and I can stay awake for 24 hours or more, did that many times. Right now, I feel sleepy but of course I cannot do that here.

I’m still bracing myself for 2 more nights of sleeping late, because tonight I’m gonna finish Jerlyn’s souvenir (packing) and tomorrow night will be the wedding, thought I know it would be over at least until 10PM.

So when I have time to
sleep I really sleep as in I sleep the whole day and don’t even wake up to have my meals. Hubby knows that and I am so much thankful that he understands my unusual sleeping habits. That is why I am very particular in our bed, the sheets and the pillows have to suit my sleeping habits. I have particular pillows also for my feet. Our bed was not too soft neither too hard. We only bought it last March and it is still good.

But If I have the money, I would really like to invest in beautiful and so comfortable
Beds . It’s worth it. I recently chance upon this site and all I could say is WOW!!..I love all their beds and I really wanted to have one someday. Specially this design. I love the headboard, this one has generous layers of cotton and fiber fillings. It is not only pure beauty but also practical because it is a divan bed. I imagine myself sleeping the whole day in that super comfy bed with my husband of course.
And I hope it's gonna be soon!!

Credit card for Bad Credit?

In the US, they say you cannot live without a credit card. A friend who work in GA admitted that, because when she was still here, she doesn’t have any credit card and she feels she don’t need it. But of course when she moved to the US, she felt different.

But is there such a thing as bad credit card Because here in the Philippines once you failed in one credit card company it would be very hard for you to get another one from another credit card company.

If you live in the US and you have bad credit card worry no more, visit their site and see for your self how you can rebuild your credit and as they say your financial future. There is even a section that lets you compare 10 top credit cards on the market for bad credit and provide li8nks for them.

I’m sure you can find one that is so much willing to give you a second chance.

Tired and blogging

It’s 4:15 PM

I still have 2 hours and 15 minutes to go.

But I am already dead tired…so blog muna ko.

It’s such a tiring day for me, in times like this parang gusto ko gawing 2 ang sarili ko so I can do all what is being asked of me na ok and di ako masyado pagod.

A while ago..dalawa boss ko..at sabay pa silang tumatawag..hala! and mind you..tag isa sila ng room..di ko alam sino uunahin ko..

Dami pang phone calls, incoming at outgoing, daming arrangement na dapat i-settle, bili ng dollar, booking at kung ano-ano pa. Sorry if I sound complaining eh ito naman talaga buhay ko..

It’s just that sometimes you get tired talaga…

Plus the fact that I’m acting as my friend’s wedding coordinator na sa Saturday na ang kasal. I still have to print misalette and wala pa syang guestsheets..o di ba super cramming kami?

I am just tired but I’m happy and I feel so blessed.

Gotta go!!..I still have e-mails to send pala…

Training-I miss having one

When I was still in Cabanatuan (Nueva Ecija) oh yes, that was years ago...and was still in the academe world, not really a teacher, I worked in the library for almost 10 years. Of course, until I gave up and moved to corporate world.

When you’re in the academe world, you need to get as many training as you can get and mind you those trainings are not meant solely to have an additional knowledge but it would be a MUST for you specially when you are aiming for a higher position.

So back then, I was fortunate enough to be able attend so many trainings which I considered all to be so useful. One training I didn’t regret having was the ISO 9000 series of training, although I don’t remember much of it now.(because I don’t practice it anymore) I was chosen as an Internal Quality Auditor of our school because of that. And that meant a lot more trainings. I enjoyed most of it except those super long ones that I have to seat all day for number of days and force myself listen to the trainer.

I have to admit, I miss those days. I miss those days where I have to really study because we have worksheets to answer or we have to share what we have learned in that particular training.

I have been working in the corporate world now and have not attended even a single training that would enhance me for whatever position I am in now.

J's Bridal Shower

Kaunting rest lang from the worship team retreat..as in sobrang kaunti lang, nag prepare na kami for Jerlyn’s bridal shower, actually her second bridal shower, her bestfriend prepared one also last Sunday but because we weren’t able to go, we organized another one.

And she was so surprised..we went to Sarah’s place at around 8PM, told her that Sarah invited us (carmel,me and her) for a dinner,of course the rest of the girls are there na at this time, nagtago lang sa guest room, Sarah kinda thought of showing her the rooms kasi first time nya makapunta dito..at siempre pa pag open nya..bulaga!!!!nagulat sha daming tao..hehe! galing ko daw umarte.

After dinner, we went with our plan na…actually, this was a repeat of what they did to me during my bridal shower…she felt so embarrassed at the start but enjoyed it later on, we made her wear our own design toilet paper wedding gown..and put her on the hot seat..:)

We had fun…after the laughters or roars..hehe! we prayed na for her and wished her all the best.

Love you Jerlyn!

Music Ministry Retreat and a Bridal Shower

Good morning!

It was really a good morning for me..though I slept late last night and woke up earlier than my usual wake up time, it was still a good morning for me.

And I have two stories to blog today, I had one busy long weekend but it was good. One about the music ministry retreat/teambuilding (WORSHIP BABAD) last Sunday and Monday, and the surprise bridal shower for my very good friend Jerlyn just last night.

I was thinking of posting it with pictures but I don’t have copies of the pictures yet, still waiting for my copies.

But am too excited to blog so I’ll write anyway…

WORSHIP BABAD

I believe this has been long overdue and finally last Sunday we were able to push through with the worship prayer retreat cum teambuilding. We also called it Worship Babad because we want to spend time intimately with the Lord.

We went to Kawit, Cavite and had an overnight worship in one of our local Pastor’s house. We just worshipped there and sing song to the Lord, cried and prayed and listen to the Lord specially for His plans with regards to the music ministry. We wrapped up at around 2:30 AM, after a lot of sharings from each one of us. It was even made special because a long time back up singer joined us and gave her testimony and we were all touch by what she shared.

The morning after, mga 8 Am, we’re already off to the nearest resort, I think it’s San Miguel Resort, nothing fancy about it anyway we just needed one cool place to relax and have some fun, and so much fun we had indeed. We didn’t know that hubby and neil (the keyboardist) prepared some teambuilding games for us and we all enjoyed it! The “passing through” obstacle is quite hard but we made it and the reflection upon the team was very inspiring and encouraging, hopefully we will now be more driven in the ministry that God has entrusted us.

We went home at around 2:30 PM, re-charged, motivated and happy.

I guess I’ll do the Bridal shower entry later na lang today…I’ll be back!

In God's appointed time

I was absent yesterday, I took a day off to attend to personal things and help Jerlyn on her last stage of preparation..but yesterday afternoon, I found my self sitting at the “missionaries’ fellowship” in International Team Philippines office. Of course it was out of my plan because I have so much in my hands to do. But as always God has his own plans and ways.

That morning hubby told me he will be leading the worship on missionaries’ fellowship and that Pastor Gani (also the IT Philippines Director) requested him to sing their own composition songs..and then I thought..I will come with him but will leave early na lang.

That doesn’t happen, I stayed and I listened to what Pastor Gani is sharing about the mission field and missionaries around the world. I know in my heart that someday it will be our time to go. I married a missionary by heart and a servant of God and sooner we will be there on the mission field.

But that is not what I got yesterday..as I listen and read to these verses,

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false, though it linger, wait for it, it will certainly come and will not delay”
Habakkuk 2: 3

“There is time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

I know God is encouraging me to “wait” ..because it will come. I know in my heart it is about the baby we are praying for and I just couldn’t help but thank God for his loving assurance that what He has promised to us will be given in His appointed time.

I praise God for his love endures forever!

Magazine cover?

I enjoyed magging different pictures..obvious na wala akong magawa today.

Sad news

So I won't be having that preg test anymore this weekend..(Should I be grateful that I was spared of at least 120.00 pesos?)

Yesterday, after lunch, my period came..

Was I shocked? devastated I guess..I couldn't come out of the comfrot room..I just sat there and wished and hope that I'm not having another menstrual period again...

"they that wait upon the Lord shall renew thier strenght"...I hope this one is true too for those who wait to have thier baby.

"they shall run and not be weary"
"they shall walk and not faint"

Teach me Lord to wait.

When was the last time you said I love you?

We had a valentine party for the couple in our church last Friday Night, there was a compatibility game where the host asks the couple the same questions and see if they could answer it correctly..It’s funny how the batch of “young once” tried to go back down memory lane and remember a particular date or place like “where was your first date?” or what was the first ”lihi” food your wife asked from you?.”
These couples have been married 15 years and above so I understand how it’s hard for them to remember everything specially the guys. I said nga to my hubby.."you know mahal..we will not gonna win that kind of game".. because I knew hubby is not good in remembering dates and places and the many first things in our relationship.

But what made me sad was..during the batch of “young ones” –meaning couples married 15 years and below..and I see that these are our batches. Ate Becca asked them, when was the last time you said I love you to your wife?

Some answered, yesterday, some said a while ago but one guy answered “last new year”..ouuch…I said to my self..how sad..Hubby may forget our first date, our first meal or even our anniversary..but everyday he make it a point to say his I love you’s to me..upon waking up, while eating..when he take me to office..every chance he could get..and I do the same..and for me..that’s important..I love it when from out of nowhere he would just say "I love you mahal".
An expression of love verbally is important in any relationship. I believe we woman always need an assurance that we are loved..and don’t you think hearing them so often form your husband is one precious gift we can have?

So how about you? when was the last time you said I love you to your significant other?

Renz Pokemon Party

Just wanna share this birthday party with you all, and to my N@wie friends, though this is only my nephew's party, ako naman nag plan and execute lahat so might as well share na rin..and sorry because this was last August of 2007 pa. This is one low budget party lang pero it turned out so nice at super enjoy ang mga kids.

Invites : I asked a former officemate to do the lay-out, just gave him the picture and the wordings, bought photo paper sa CDR king then ako na nagprint.

Venue : Caritas Manila
Ok naman venue, suki na sis ko ditto because it’s very near in their place. Small venue lang, can accommodate yata up to 100 or less. The cost..very mimimal lang. if I remember it right pag aircon, 600 per hour, pag non-aircon, 300 per hour. And free pa ang chairs and tables ha.

Theme : Pokemon party

My nephew loves Pokemon so much, and that time super uso ang Pokemon, so ang dami ko nabiling item sa divisoria.pero lahat ng décor kami lang ng hubby ko ang gumawa. Of course with all the help I can get from the internet

Entrance décor : Welcome to renz Pokemon Island..idea ko pero si hubby ang nag execute.

Backdrop : Made by my hubby too, good thing he has talent sa styro craft. medyo di lang pantay ang pagkalagay.
Cake : Kitchenkrafts

Gift ko ito sa kanya and he really liked it, specially si “Balbasaur” ang topping..favorite nya kasi yan and the minicupcakes..super natuwa talaga ang mga kids.

Giveaway/lootbags for the kids-DIY. I searched and searched over the internet and was able to find this printable DIY lootbag from this site. I made 80 pieces yata, I printed different pokemon characters and ask my nephew to color them, very personalized kasi the birthday boy ang namili ng characters and he worked on it talaga. Contents : pokemon cards, pokemon toys, pokemon button pin and pokemon small book.

Me and hubby also made the Pikachu hats and all the other styro decor. Medyo mahaba-haba lang na preparation because halos DIY lahat but it's always worth it.Next time, I know I would do it again and siempre this time mas maganda na because I know some DIY Balloon decor na. Thanks sa internet.

a fruitful weekend

Happy Monday morning everyone!

How’s your weekend? Well, mine was indeed a fruitful one…timing with the Sunday Message in our church.

I was out practically the whole day of Saturday with two of my friends whose getting married soon. We went to Paco Park in the morning to have Lester & Jerlyn’s (kunwari) pre-nuptial since this is not included in their package. Carmel and I volunteered to do the honor..hehe! saying that I don’t have the copies of the pics yet but will post it here as soon as Jerlyn’s approved it. We only used her point and shoot digial camera but I believe we were able to capture some good shots din, though not all of them are good..kasi naman Lester is so stiff..haha! di sanay mag artista..after that we had an early lunch in Robinsons Manila.

Jerlyn, me and Carmel

Later in the afternoon naman, we went to Teatrillo in Intramuros, we had food tasting with Eloquente, this one is for Carmel and Andrew’s wedding naman on June 6. And since I am the one who got married first, I am now their appointed wedding coordinator..which I so loved siempre. I enjoyed my wedding preps too much and I’m enjoying helping these friends of mine too.

I don’t know, they have not decided on having Eloquente yet, but I guess they’ll go for them, kasi the package is good plus the foods are ok naman. The only thing they’re not ok yata is the additional fee for the ceremony. I understand kasi these two are both full time missionaries so they are really on a budget wedding. Hope we can have some discount kahit sa ceremony set-up lang.

After that, we had the regular practice for our church worship team. It’s a bit tiring somehow and I don’t feel so good because of the colds but it’s very fulfilling.

Sunday, of course we went to church..later in the afternoon, Jerlyn’s entourage had the first fitting. Did I mention that my sister is doing the entourage gowns as well as the mothers?

After the fitting..I rested and slept till 6 pm..I still have colds now and headache but I think I’m re-charge for the whole week.again..happy monday mornign everyone!
